  • I was talking about the arms Where they touch when I close them

  • Aww man I think ima return them back when my 90 day return policy is almost up from sunglasses hut

  • Hey 9mm did your polish wore out or scratched on the frame where they touch when you close the glasses?

  • @BabyPaco13 no

  • just an fyi..if you're buying vintage Ray Bans, the lens will be etched with "B&L" in both lens, not "RB". (bausch and lomb)

  • how do i pick the size of the glasses on ray-ban.com ??

  • LOL, I bought cheap knock off ones because they're too expensive for a poor college student to buy. But I love the design, so I'm glad I bought them.

  • Drop on some Persol 714's, they'd fit your melon.

  • VERY informative video! I REALLY want to get the new Ray band wayfarer rare prints editions BUT they only come in 50mm I think!! and I also have a somewhat large head.... do you think I should buy them or just get some plain black ones like yourself.....

  • I have some Foster Grant's wayfarers. I like them a lot, but I would like to know what you think of them!

  • @xBeatsProductions FG's are excellent for the price. They were found to have better optics than many more expensive brands.

  • PLEASE RESPOND. ARE THESE THE CRYSTAL GREEN LENS?

  • @techmaster8 YEEESSS GREEEEEN!!!!!

  • are his polarized? are driving with non-polarized ray bans sufficient enough?

  • @phoLegit No, yes.

  • @Charlz9mm o thanks! because i've heard from sites/users that non-polarized ray bans actually make driving conditions even worse with having more glare and you're better off not wearing any sunglasses.. which i think is a lot of false mumbo jumbo.

  • @phoLegit It is mumbo jumbo. Polarized lens are forbidden for most airline and military pilots due to the distortion they cause. Polarized lens are excellent for fisherman and skiers since the help reduce the glare from the upwards reflection on water and snow. I am not a big fan of polarized because I like to see detail. If lived near a ski area again I would probably love them again. I think if you have UV protection the rest is preference.

  • please go to my videos and tell me if my pair of wayfarers are fake or real thank you:)

  • Get some goodyear tires, your car bounces around like your fat mom's in the back seat.

  • Are those the dark green lenses or are they really dark?

  • @Warrantofficer13 They are dark but not like welding glasses.

  • Thanks for your videos, because of the first one I felt very reassured when I went to purchase the glasses. I really couldn't be any happier, I absolutely love them. They're are the best pair of sunglasses I've had.

Do you have a pair of Clubmasters? If so, can you make a video? I'm thinking about getting them next and I really haven't seen a review on them that is that good.

  • love the dark tortoise shell, I got a rare prints large black and comic. love them.

  • hahaha ive gotten 3 pairs of raybans at goodwill, 2 bucks each:) one was the ray ban wafarer max, and those go for 275, one was plain black 5023, those go for around 150, and the other is a bluish tortoise that are super rare :)

  • @golaker75 Good score dude! Respect!

  • @Charlz9mm haha i love them now

  • when he talks about the colour (dark tortoise shell), is he talking about the acutal 'glass' or about the frame???

i know this is probably a stupid question, but pleeease help me out

    thank you alooooot

  • @ditisvreemd frames

  • Comment removed

  • Nice review dude. Lots of people are cocky or arrogant, because they have ray-bans.

It's good to see someone who isn't.

  • hi i'm 11 years old and i might get ray ban wayfarers but i have a big head....so should i get a junior one or a regular one??

can u plz tell me the size of all the frames??

(i have a big head, but i have a small face)

  • Hey on my wayfarers where ray ban is written on the lens there's a p next to it. What does that mean? Is it fake?

  • @fakeargentine127 It means that they are polarized. They are actually better than normal ones, because they have reduced glare.

  • Are the polarized lenses worth getting or just get the G-15?

  • @MRDmitch10 Mine are not polarized. Polarized ok but not essential unless you are on water or snow. I am not a big fan of polarization because I don't like distortion

  • I perfer the crapy $5 ones hahaha.

  • @MyUsername2668 I am sure Ray-Ban will be heartbroken at hearing that news.

  • @Charlz9mm meh I wash cars so I really dont have the money to shell out $100 for glasses. :P

  • @MyUsername2668 Thanks for sharing your life story.

  • go to my youtube channel. i show how to detect real Ray Bans

  • what are the major differences between the 2132's and the 2140's? i just ordered some 2132s from my optometrist and they'll be here in about 3 weeks!!

  • Hey can u tell me where i can get ones online?or giveaway me yours lol.Cause tbh u the sexiest guy i ever saw and actually u dont need raybanes....

  • Those honestly look like the 50mms.

  • @DudeImWayBetter I was thinking that they looked like 50mm lenses as well. I saw a pair at Macy's that were mislabeled as the 54 mm lenses when in fact I took them out of the case and measured them and they were indeed 50mm.

  • they call me mr.COOL when i wear these babies...and you cant see my eyes unless my head is bent,...ya diGG?

  • just got myself a pair of RB 2132, you look cool with those!

  • If you can also post a video showing the little secrets of an "original" Rayban, using all of your experience, the market has been flooded with some serious real imitations.........would be of great help.......

  • wayfarers give aristocratic look. jawdroping glasses. i could never get them !

  • hey if im going to order the wayfarers off the ray ban website how do i change the lense size ?

  • hey i just added a video I'd made awhile ago reviewing some of my sunglasses and I have 3 pairs of the classic style (like yours) on the video in red, white, and red - so if you'd approve it it'll show up here. Thanks =)

  • I have 3 pairs. Red and white in the old style "classic" design and the black in the medium size

  • Hey if you dont mind could you measure your wayfarers across the front? Like frames and all? I just need to know whether to get the 50mm or 54mm. I appreciate it.

  • The etching isn't there if you have perception Ray Bans

  • i just bought the the ray ban aviators poleraized lense.

very nice they are. and they have the most cool effectm in my opinion.,

  • @NEWBOYN Where did you buy them? Are they fake?

  • Comment removed

  • @NEWBOYN Wayfarers are from the 1950's... I doubt they'll suddenly go out of fashion in two years time when they've been worn for 55 years or so. Wayfarers are a timeless design.

  • @wrongwayup Exactly. The one's made in the 1950's are now worth some money. People are still wearing 40-50 year old wayfarers. Some have been handed down through families.

  • @Charlz9mm i thought these were made in the 1980s

  • Comment removed

  • @NEWBOYN Yes, ok, that's true, although that coming and going is mostly true for mainstream fashion, in the sense that some celebrity will wear a pair of Wayfarers, and suddenly everyone wants them. Such fads do fade, but those fashion fads aren't really a very good way of determining if the glasses are good looking anyway. Wayfarers are truely timeless, and I suspect people will still be wearing them in the next few decades and beyond.

  • Comment removed

  • @NEWBOYN I heard that 30 years ago and people are still wearing them.

  • @NEWBOYN haha Wayfarers are not trendy. People have been wearing them for like 50 years

  • I have 2 pairs of raybans and love them to death! i wouldnt trade them for the world and all you poeple who say they arent worth the money - you should try a pair, worth every penny!

  • Everyone asking about how much they are... i have a pair of red ones and they range in price from $135-$150 about :)

  • I don't know Charles. I'm just partial to the incognito Old School Ray Ban Wayfarers before Luxottica placed the script on the temples and sides. The Old school Wayferers model 5022 in Black or 5024 in Turquiose. They also have a slant forward from the top of the lens frame. Once you've been wearing em for a while you get used to the slant. Both temples had I.D. etching, the Lenses just had the B&L on the midpoint outter sides. The model was over the right lens at the top inboard side. Ciao!

  • i really love those sunglasses i see alotof selebreties wearing them and i willlike ot get a pare but idk how much it will be?

  • I just don't get it. I just checked pictures on Google, of people wearing wayfarers. Original 2140 wayfarers. They all have them. Michael Jackson, Samuel Jackson Joshua Jackson, Orlando Bloom, Robert Pattinson, I mean.... Everybody... And on almost every picture, they look almost square. They have this nice rectangular shape. And mine, have this weird rounded shape. And no doubt, THEY ARE 2140S. Even Samuel Jackson is freakin tall; like 6,2, and they fit is head, but ME????? no !!! Shit !!!

  • Cool shades, you made me make the decision to go with these instead of the 2132's because my face similar but I got them in 50mm because my temples are shaped differently. I like the classic look as well because they never go out of style. When I saw them in this video I knew I had to have them, they look so cool. Thanks again.

  • whyy are these so expensive?

they have huge bulky frames and they are not at all the best sunglasses out there!

  • @Anton338 Are they expensive? Relative to what, poor quality Oakleys at three times the price? More expensive than Foster Grants that last one summer with poor optics? Bulky frames? That's the classic style. They aren't for everyone. Some people love them, some love to hate them. YMMV.

  • @Charlz9mm I have to disagree with you here. I have a pair of Oakleys, Ray Ban polarized 2132s and Costa Del Mar MP2s and of the three, the Ray Bans were the 2nd most expensive and have the worst visual acuity. They do not even come close to my Costas or Oakleys. I would not say that Oakleys are poor quality.

Though I do wear my Ray Bans much more bc Wayfarers look good on almost everybody and Oakleys (outside of frogskins) unfortunately have the tendency to make one look like a gigantic tool.

  • @Al112987 I just bought a pair of polarized RBs, and the "visual acuity" was quite a bit better than Costa Del mar 580 series lenses I tried back to back.

  • @LieKiller 580 series glass lenses at that...

  • @Anton338 are u a little kid?

those are the most historical sunglasses of all time

  • @JohnnySton3r who cares how historical they are, that doesnt mean anything. -.-

Im not saying theyre badd, theyre pretty stylish and shit, but expensive as hell!

I just don't think they are worth what Ray-Ban wants for them.

  • @Anton338 u think like an old man

just like my dad about ray bans,

they cost much cos they're famous and they're comfy and they look good

and im not one of those rich people who has tons of ray bans

  • why are you always doing your reviews in you car??? lol

  • @jokkenizer Because that is where i keep my camera. ;-)

  • @Charlz9mm ok, and by the way, nice sunglasses! ;)

  • this is the first time i've seen your videos and i have to say, i enjoy them. keep making videos, they are positive and informative. one question, are your wayfarer glasses polarized or not? and what is your opinion on polarized glasses?

  • @corona24life Mine are not polarized. Polarized ok but not essential unless you are on water or snow. I am not a big fan of polarization because I don't like distortion.

  • @Charlz9mm what do you mean by "distortion?"

  • @corona24life There are some limitations to the use of polarized lenses because the polarizing stripes reduce the amount of light entering the eye thus distortion since light does not pass through the lens at an equal rate.

  • this is the first time i've seen your videos and i have to say, i enjoy them. keep making videos, they are positive and informative. one question, are your wayfarer glasses polarized or not? and what is your opinion on polarized glasses?

  • i was planning on getting them but now every stupid little fuck has them it bugs the shit out of me, people wear what makes you feel good.!!!!!dont get things to try to be in "style" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • A really great way to tell is by the decals on the arms of the glasses, to me that's the best indicator, because usually I don't think to many people will notice if the arm action decent, and they can easily put a fake logo and tag; I should know, I've sold a few of the plastic 1990s Bosh & Lomb fake Ray Bans to my chums. There are also a number of other ways to tell...

  • I've got an older pair of wayfarers and a new pair of polarized ones..i've always loved that style...CLASSIC!!!

  • I've been wanting a pair and this video made my mind! Thanks!

  • i dropped my wayfarer...good thing its inside my purse... didnt got a scratch well anyways its only a foot high...haha...

  • PLAYA.

  • @killakiz06 That's how I roll. LOL :)

  • Thanks, I appreciate this video. It was helpful!

  • i got em as 50mm they are awesome, pretty expensive though.

    but worth every penny!

  • @naddan87

Agreed. Glad you are here posting.:-)

  • I've got the tortoise shell wayfarers, I love them so much. Great pair of sunglasses.

  • @jjjkkk999

    Love the tortise shell.

  • im getting exactly the same glasses, 54mm, and greenish lens.

    nice review

  • im looking to get the wayfarer for regular glasses with transition lenses but dont know if they will look cool waht do you think ?

  • For me personally I do not like them as regular glasses. I love them as sunglasses but when the glass is clear the love is over. Might be fine for someone else.

  • Mine are from harrods, With the RB on the left :) Original.

  • I tried some one during the summer, and they looked terrible on me.

  • They are not for everyone. There are styles of sunglasses I can't wear either. Wayfarers seem to fit me well. I hope you find a style you like.

  • Yeah, they look really good on some people. I liked them, just not on.

I found another Ray Ban: Cats 5000 RB4125

:) Are your lenses scratched up yet?

  • No scratches.

  • are your lenses polarized?

man there are so many different versions of 2140. green, grey, black lenses. polarized. matte black.

ugh it's so hard to choose!

  • Not polarized, I have the classic green glass lens. i like classic glass and no polarization.

  • thank you soo much

  • in these video you have crystal green on grey lens???thanks

  • Green

  • mr. charles whats the difference between 2113 and 2140? thanks

  • The 2140 is the original shape. more horn rimmed. the 2113 is the new wayfarer. squarer and spring hinged.

  • thanks mr charles!

  • he looks good with em no homo lol what size are ur glasses 54mm or 50mm but nice vid

  • hey charles!

I just got myself a pair of the wayfarers. but like many ppl, i feel its a fake! could u pls take a look at the code on the inside of the left arm? is it something like RB2140 901 50*22 3N. The * is actually supposed to be a square box or something like that! thank you!

ps: it has the etching in the left lens...but idk, i still have this feeling that its fake!

  • Why else do you think they are fake?

  • try RETRO SUPER FUTURE glasses also. They are the alternatives to the wayfarers which celebs like Kanye West and Rihanna are currently wearing. I just ordered mine and i'm hoping they don't come up small like the wayfarers. They are the wayfarers alter-ego, hah. Oh the style of the RETRO SUPER FUTURE glasses you want to look out for are the FLAT TOPS. Those are the ones people are rockin righ now. They have a website and a blog, check em out and tell me what you think!

  • Oh, those are cool. Good catch.

  • I tried these glasses on the other day at the store and they looked so stupid, nothing like what I see on the celebs. On the celebs they look nice and big (oversized style) but they looked small on me and made me face look big and FAT. I usually look stunning in most glasses, hats, stuff like that etc.. But these just wern't cuttin it. They only retailed in one size where I tried them. Do they come in different sizes? Why do they look bigger on other people? Small heads huh?

  • This is why there are thousands of styles of glasses. People have different heads, faces and tastes. I am sure you still looked stunning but these just might be your cup of tea. Yes there are different sizes of Wayfarers.

  • Hey charlz thanks very much for this, you do a great review! 5 stars from me, keep up the good work!

  • Can you put your prescription in these kinds of sunglasses? Thanks.

  • My optometrist says yes.

  • Are you sure that the R.B etching proves them real? Cause I ordered some sunglasses and they have the R.B etching on them but I'm not sure if they're real or not.

  • Anything can be counterfeited. If it does not have the etch it is a sure sign that its fake. If it does have the etch well who knows? Buy them from a reputable retailer and you should be ok.

  • hey charlz. question regarding this issue, sort of. if the Ray-Ban text in the upper left corner on the right lens isn't completely located up in the corner but rather a couple of mm down, does that mean anything? in this case, being fake? thanks

  • I don't think that is a problem. They are not perfectly placed on the lens. Sounds like its still good.

P.S I accidentally neg'ed you, sorry just disregard it. You are good here.

  • hey i live in austraila umm do u noe how much they cost like do they cost under 200

  • I don't know what they cost in Aus but they are $100 to $150 USD here in the USA. By the way did you know that americans do not call ourselves "yanks"? It is odd and foreign to us to be called yanks. We also do not call our country "the states" we say "America". Just thought I'd throw that out there. fun trivia

  • They cost about 250 in Australia.

  • I have a pair that I use for flying and they are very comfortable with a headset on and visibility is great. Great quality and the UV protection from Ray Ban is worth it.

  • how are you doing charles? I have the 2140 in black with gray gradient and i wanted to know if i can remove the lens on them? i wanted a clear lens but im not sure if the lens can removed

  • Hi, Yes the lens can be changed but I would have an optometrist do any lens changing.

  • i got mine at macy's

  • i lovee it, i have the sam ;)

  • wayfarer have two models i mean size rayban wayfarer I smaller and wayfarer 2 which comes with a large lince

  • Welcome Finlanders. Peace to Finland. Beautiful country.

  • dont some of them bend in half for safe put away??? or do they all?

  • Yes there is one model that does fold in half.

  • Hey Charlz, you mention in this video that there are different sizes for those sunglasses (the rb 2140 wayfarer) (the 54mm and the 50 mm). Are you sure that this specific sunglass (the rb2140 wayfarer) comes in different sizes. I have been to the mall and on raybans website and there are no options for sizes. I understand rayban has different model wayfarers (rb2132), but I want the rb2140 model. My question to you is on the exact model rb2140, how do you know they come in different sizes?

  • i I did make that comment based on a info I got from a phone call to Luxxotica. Since then I have had a hard time confirming that point. There may have been confusion because there are so many styles called Wayfarer.

  • Where did you get the glasses? ;D

  • hello charlz is that 50 mm or 54 mm? thanks

  • 54mm. I have a big head.

  • Classic!

  • ebay actually has many good, trustworhty dealers. you just got to make sure they've sold a bunch (1000+) with a perfect positive rating

    thanks for the great revew!

  • how much do these go for?

  • Expect to spend around $100 USD.

  • yeah i bought some yesterday the total came out to $150 chicago taxes suck, thanks!

  • I got a limited edition pair the RB 2140 956

    on ebay for only 50$

  • you can get cheap plastic ones for around $7 on ebay. but if you want genuine wayfarer 2. you'll be spending around 100-150 usd

  • this sunglasses are very cool!

    i wish i could afford them :(

  • You can buy a pair that looks identical at wal-mart for $20.

  • and im looking for the straight frame one this one__ got a lil curve \__/ in it at the top of the glasses

  • yeah i love the wayfarer i got the exact same but i want a bigger one to just to switch things up..great revieuw thanks

  • I got the new wayfares 2132 I was going to get the classic look but I decided to get the new version just cause they felt more comfortable and lighter. pretty good for activities involving lots of movement.

  • WOW Billy Joel borrowed Bob Dylans sunglasses!

  • just go onto google type in rayban...go for the official site, accept no imatations my friend, be aware there are lots and lots of fakes out there, when u get to the website simply choose your country. hey presto

  • i can't find the classic wayfarers anywhere... where did u get urs???

  • love your reviews man, keep it up!
