Justin's CD was on pace for Gold when RCA quit sending re orders to the stores.

They wouldn't allow him to do a video and made him wait 6 months after the show to release a cd.

Things were different in season 1.

They were afraid of the winner getting overshadowed by a runner up.

That Kris just beat Adam is proof that Justin beating Kelly would not have been so bad.

Watch Justin's performances on Youtube, they are alot closer to Kelly's than Kris' were to Adam's.

I didn't say they changed their votes I said people who had never seen the show all tuned in for the finale casue it had become the hot topic and they assumed it was like that all summer.

If J could have done an upbeat song along with 2 ballads his style he could shown 2 sides of himself like Kelly did.

He was forced to choose another ballad for the 1 song he got to pick to show he could really sing. His "Get Here" that night was as good as her 2 slow ones.

Justin was favorite from the beginning, if he couldn't maintain it that was his fault. Kelly made it solely on her first performance because she had a good voice and continued to work her way up. Justin was in the bottom two prior to the finale, Kelly never was. So that final had nothing to do with it, people's minds were pretty much decided.

Justin was an entertainer who carried the show in it's infancy and was screwed in the finale when the forced him to sing 2 diva songs that were obviously written for Kelly's style and not Justin's.

His performances of "For once in my life", Let's stay together" "Get Here" "Someday we'll all be free" ect are far from safe.

"Making faces" and "groans" aren't "black girl" things you idiot. And they don't make Kelly's voice any better. Justin's performances were pretty safe. They were simple classic songs that any semi-decent singer could make good, Justin added nothing to make them exceptional. He was definitely a step above most, but Kelly is in another league, and she doesn't only sound good when she's "loud" (called belting btw, which Justin can't do). Kelly can sing soft and emote better than most singers.

Lame and cheesy dance moves isn't stage presence, and his belts are so weak... A belt is supposed to be powerful, his voice does not have that power. How has Kelly already existed? Just because she actually has a powerful voice? That may be true but she has a unique and but at the same time has a wide range. Justin's voice is sort of unique, but in no way does it hold the power or strength that Kelly's does, nor the dynamics. Kelly can sing almost any song and make it work, Justin can't.

They aren't all that similar to the original.

The original Route 66, For once in my Life and Sonny are way slower than his versions.

The Look of Love is totally different and Get here was originally a chicks song.

AI was not originally a SInging competiton it was a talent competition.

All Kelly does is impersonate the origianl recordings.

She has more power but God it get anoying to constanly scream to attempt to interpert the lyric.

Making the song faster was to fit Idol's time constraints, not to be original. And just because Justin is a guy who sang a girl's song doesn't make him original, that song has been covered by tons of guys before him. And Kelly does not impersonate original recordings, to say that makes me think you haven't even heard them. Kelly always uses her own phrasing and changes notes. And again, she doesn't scream, she belts. And even when she isn't belting her voice is emotive and unique.

How can you watch this video of It takes two and not hear her grunts and moans and look at her wide eyed attitude faces that she also used on "Stuff like that There" ,"You're all I need" and "Respect" and not think she wishes she was a black girl?

Also during this perfomane of It takes two Justin is so at ease with the lyrics and phrasing Kelly is just waiting to get loud, and that's all.

No, the time constraints are exactly why they speed it up because they can get more of the actual song in. And Kelly grunts once in this song. And doing that and making faces is not "black girl" stuff. I can name twenty renowned singers that aren't black that do similar things. Justin is "at ease" because he can't do anything more, His voice has no power like Kelly's. And again, it's not "getting loud", it's belting, for the millionth time, and Justin only wishes he had that ability.

Justin doesn't sound fabulous on it - but it's not his genre. It's not a fair comparison. Just like the season finale. They made him sing a girl song that fit Kelly's strengths - not his. On future AI finales - they always fashioned separate songs to the individual performers' genre strengths.

They also put way too much make-up on him as the series went on. He looks best showing his natural beauty.
