To compare Metallica with Rush, is not right. Two different Genres. It is like comparing Apples to Oranges. Rush is great at what they do Classic Rock/ Prog Rock. Metallica is great at what they do, Metal/ Hard Rock.

In the end, they are both BANDS that are comprised of MUSICIANS playin MUSIC [mind u different types though]. Each decade/ era, w-e, has it's own definitive band. Rush was that for Prog Rock era

I can't speak for other universes (obviously), but where I'm from Rush is the most prolific, influential, and long lasting rock bands on this planet. RB3 is way late with "pro" drums that don't even play double bass. It doesn't even matter how many cymbals it has when the charts are crammed in 4 lanes ( that alone is a joke)

On Rock Band there crammed in four lanes but each cymbal and tom has its own designated gem. What I am trying to say really is that GH's drums aside from double bass don't feel authentic when Im playing the game, so just like your DLC youy drumset is limited as well LOL

No everyone loves double bass, only people who can't handle it don't like it. RBN has 94% of all songs unknown and DLC has many songs that either unknown, have the crappiest charts i have ever seen, or are just too easy (pointless to play).
