This was one of the better battles. Shingo definitely wasn't supposed to win, though he's not that bad a character, he just has no luck fighting. I swear though, that electric strike move with Benimaru looks like he shocks his opponents in the genitals. And Zangief, poor man didn't know what was coming, Daimon squashed him. Body of "Steel" or not, he lost that battle horribly. And the wise Yoga master left a message for the young Kusanagi, very Yoda-ish. Good vid.

I dont like Zangief, weakest SF character ever, but the other 7 are great fighters, it was a great fight, and Kyo was the survivor, of course, Fei Long is very gifted and I grown to respect Dhalsim, Shingo isn't bad and Benimaru is quite skillful himself.

@silent10ful: No, no. Zagief most definitely is weak. My brother plays with him and beats people who play with Ryu, Ken, Fei Long, Akuma or what ever. They did weaken him a bit in the last patch, but he is still a very powerful character that will really punish you if you make any mistakes. Zangief isn't weak, he just take a higher skill level to play. Something most people these days (Daigo included) just don't have.

Thats true when you say Zangief takes a higher skill level to play with. The only time I would use him is if I try to look at his story by trying to beat the game. I never been a Zangief fan, Ive always been a Ryu guy.

@silent10ful: Yeah, he's gotten really skilled with Zangief b/c that's the main character he played with ever since SF2. He really does some amazing stuff with him. It's sad that not many people take the time to learn the characters that take a higher skill level in SF4. It would make those tournaments a whole lot more interesting to watch.

@silent10ful: SFIV is ok. Some fears I had about the game turned out to be justified. I was afraid that it would feel to much like SFEX which I hated and not be close enough to the 2D versions game play wise. I stopped playing with Ken and switched him for Sagat. Sagat feels more comfortable for me. While I continue to play with Blanka b/c he seems to be mostly unaffected by the new style in Gameplay. I have mixed feelings about the game and I still believe that the game hasn't progressed much.

@Imadeyourun, SF has been one of my favorite games, SFEX wasnt bad, I loved that game, still got it; I feel like SFEX is better than SFIV. SFIV disappointed me because it seems mediocre to me, I was not a big fan of the graphics and SFIV had slow gameplay. What also made me mad was that they made a SFIV, then Super SFIV and then the Arcade Specal Edition SFIV, it was money wasted because SFIV and Super SFIV was incomplete games.

@silent10ful: Yeah, I get what you're saying. I have learned a valuable lesson about Capcom a long time ago, don't buy that first release of a SF game. B/c they will just release another with more characters and options than the first one. Capcom has a tendency to milk a series like the tit of a cow. And yeah, I also found SFIV to be a bit too slow for my liking.

actually akuma did destroy ayers rock its in his street fighter 3 ending, its one of his super combos and it was confirmed by capcom. try playing all the street fighters before talking like you made them masarukato. Also akuma hasn't ever fought ryu at full strength, if he did he would kill him at his shin akuma form. ryu is strong but not unbeatable. he has lost in every street fighter except for the first one.

Yes, it's their destiny. but the flames aren't kryptonite for Orochi. the Kusanagi clan specially devised techniques (along with Yasakani) to seal off the Orochi menace. to do this they formed a special fighting style that incorporated Chinese martial arts and pyro-techniques. both Yagami and Yasakani mastered and varied their techniques accordingly.

Yasakani neutralizes, Kusanagi defeats and Yatta seals.

Ryu DID become as powerful without the SnH as he would have been with it (which is Akuma's power source). That's actually the MAIN POINT of his entire SF3 plotline. Kinda hard to miss. So, he DID manage to beat Hugo without WANTING TO KILL HIM, he actually didn't NEED to resort to killing. Somehow this may mean that he's STRONGER than Akuma, at that point. But what's certain is that he's at least even.

As for Kyo, his powers (and Chizuru's and Iori's) were expecially strong against that particular enemy. That's why the three of them were meant to team up and use their inherited power. This doesn't make him stronger than Ryu in any way.

They all have their own storylines, personalities and development through the games, they just aren't connected as much to the main plot in SF as other characters. That's more than can be said about A LOT of other fighting game characters.

And Deejay is the only one really unpopular. The other ones have their own decent share of fans.

I hate that DeeJay is so unpopular, he's an amazing character, I prefer him to any charge special character Great moveset handling and power but yet it all goes un-noticed such a shame.
