He fucked the song completely with his new 'screaming like a bitch' voice. Every good vocalist improves with years but Anders is getting worse day by day. They shouldn't play the old stuff anymore,they're ruining a beautiful memory.

@TheDrapir have you gone nuts? He's vocals has improved extremly, listen to the older live-stuffs, this is by far more experience if you look to his voice. I've never before run in to a guy that can develope his voice as much as Anders, and still be able to sing in the old way, that he once dit but with more improvement.

@zejnulla I think that difference between you and me is what we consider to be a good vocalist.I'm a death metal fan,I want to hear some real motherfucking growls and screams.That kind of growls are found on the early albums by IN FLAMES.Today Anders sings better clean vocals but when he starts screaming it actually sounds like crying. Before he used to produce some kind of 'deep-throat' voice,powerful and fucking awesome.So,today he sing like a bitch.In Flames without Jesper is offic. dead!

they said in an interview that they always put some older stuff in the setlist for two reasons 1. to please the crowd 'cause there are the "oldschool In Flames fans" who really don't like the newer stuff and 2. to show that they can play all the songs that they have and since they have so many songs they can make every show a little different. awhile back In flames was coming to Kentucky and i live in Indiana. But i was gonna go anyways and my friend liked this band.. whenever i was ready to buy my ticket... he bailed out at the last second and said he hates this band now. i ended up not going =/ i regret it

the old songs were written mostly by jepser thats why. the newer songs has a lot of bjorne in them whereas before bjorne switched to drums jesper did most of the writing

It pisses me off, that they can't play the solo properly live. the tapping pattern is supposed to be one single tap followed by 2 double taps. bjorn is just doing single taps the whole way through. im starting to seriously think i've overestimated in flames guitar playing

There are some musicans that don't like to perform their songs identical to the album versions, I want to be very emphatic when I say THEIR SONGS. In Flames are one of those artists, others include Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Jimmy Hendrix, Led Zeppelin o Black Sabbath.
