@hoopfairy14 a good comment. What would do to fix? If there is more space for basins (one for clean water to wash and the other for rinsing a soapy cloth), you could do it that way. But you can use one basin to wash the patient without problem. We need to remember that there might be limited work area for us to spread too many equipments, and also we cannot just back and forth to rinse the basin which make unsafe situation for the patient. Thank you
@EKlearningcenter after you use a cloth, you put it in the hamper, then use another clean cloth.. usually there are unlimited wash cloths in nursing homes.
When u had the towel for privacy... u suppose to fold it down from the top not push up and have all her legs showing... Mrs. Penny my instructor taught us better... but good job
People who posted stuffs here are just so mean! Please shut up and dont judge the cna bec she's been doing a very good job. Chill!!! this is just a sample practice which I found VERY helpful and she explained all the details very well.
@MrAsowa19 I appreciate your support. I am ok to hear any comments from all viewers even if it is negative because it is my way to help novice learners to think critically while watching my video. There is no perfect single way to perform the skills. In fact we need to learn how to adapt the care situation and be open minded to catch a tip. Thank you.
Wow! Mrs. Smith is cold... Why are her feet uncovered and her sheets off... Also, she completely missed checkpoint 10 on the skills checklist... which is what the testing company uses to grade us...
@goodikki33 It is important to expose patient's body part minimal as possible. Sometimes if you can perform the skill safely and quickly, it might help patient as well. Or you can always adjust the room temperature before undress the patient. If you are too scare to expose soiled area of the patient to clean, you also might miss some unclean area. Thank you
yeah handwashing is a big one!! but thankyou so much for uploading this. helped me remember cath care. i take my cna test tomorrow at 8. again thankyouu!!
Thank you for your tip. Infection control and overall hygene are important issue. As you mentioned, the dirty towel after use should not be on the bedside table. The towel which was covered on the top of the patient's body for pivacy can be placed on the bedside table (if necessary) then put the soiled one on the top if you decided to put it to the hamper later. Thanks..
not supposed to put the soapy cloth back into the clean water.

You shouldn't carry the clean linen against your uniform either.

The towel should not have been placed on the bedside table. Otherwise, good video!
