Hi there VanRentals. Good review, helped me pick the unit. I was just wondering, now that I've bought one of these, when I plug in my usb stick it connects but doesn't seem to recognise the file types (I've used standard types, jpg, mov, mp4). I don't suppose there is some process I've missed, I thought it would just be a case of plug and play? Now I'm thinking it might be an issue with the unit itself - ho hum. Any insights would be much appreciated. Cheers. MrC
@tazdasingh I am sure you can hook the hdmi from the ps3 into the projector, but you need to ask yourself if the resolution is good enough and a ps3 is not portable really
hd quality films seem to be projected really good provided the fact that we always talk about a portable projector...but what about dvd rip films?i'm really interested in an answer because i was thinking of buying one of these projectors in the next few days...i would really appreciate your answer...thanks
@egemon79 Higher quality rips do look a lot better than poorer source video. The projector is a good gadget but for home use pitch a little higher in the dollar dept and get a 720p entry level full format projector, the difference is night and day.
@kyecool I am about 6 ft from the wall, the projector has a micro hdmi connection, adaptor cables are pretty cheap on ebay etc. The hdmi cable does not come with the projector.
Is this suitable for classroom use? could it show ppt presentation? should it be attached to a laptop to play videos and show presentation? I'm planning to get one, just making sure that i'm not wasting too much money if it's not worth it. I'm an instructor so I think it could be useful.
@trebmie I don't think I'd be tempted to use this for an audience. The purpose of my purchase was to watch films using an iPhone or iPad in hotels, when I'm away from home and for that its great (albeit it requires an optional adapter to do this). As @vanrentals stated, you do need a dark room for this. I suggest you consider a full sized projector for class room use and look for something that outputs at least 2000 lumens, not 20 lumens!
@MultiPudgy This unit is not suitable for use in a lighted enviroment. The lumens rating is only 20 , which means that the room need to be in almost complete darkness for an acceptable image.
how big can you get the projection?
