  • They really should have won the GG for Original Score. .....,Why didn't they let him win!? people are so stupid. Look, I haven't seen the other films but seriously no other soundtrack has ever touched my heart and soul so much and matched so well with the plot. this soundtrack is seriously some of the most beautiful music ever made.

maybe they thought "oh, hes not actually a real film composer". pffffff who cares!! Music is Music!

  • Favorite rainy weather driving music.

  • Lisbeth forever alone! :'(

  • It works so great. Even listening at home.

But watching that final scene in cinema and hearing this track, I almost cried.

    Beautiful!

    Great!

    Standout!

  • Beautiful track...I can't listen to this song without getting the chills...that last scene is crushing to say the least. Amazing soundtrack for an amazing movie.

  • @RedKicksRudba Haha, appropriate title! Thanks for the info.

  • Did part of this song play during Mikael and Lisbeth's love scene, or was that another song?

  • @sportsjunke108 It's not another song; this song does play during the love scene; it's alternative title is Lovemaking.

  • thank you for posting. this music reminds me of loving soundtracks - Jarre, Barry, Goldsmith, Vangelis, Elfman to name a few - adding dimension to the soul of film. I hope Trent enjoys a long run on more excellent movies!

  • I just wanna know what the note she wrote to him said! D:

  • @FerraraD22 She wrote "Mikael, thanks for being my friend. Love, Lisbeth"

  • This song plays during the final scenes of the film. Lisbeth's face when she sees Mikael with Erika...heartbreaking.

  • A friend of mine recently passed away and this song is helping me to cope during those times when you have nothing to think about but the person who you will never see again. I know that's morbid and an extreme downer for those simply trying to enjoy the soundtrack but I think this kind of music can both tell a story and heal a sad heart. Lyrics never express what you're really feeling but simple melodies such as this explain everything you wish you could say.

  • @NicolaAlexandrovna Hey, I know the feeling. My mother passed in December of 01' from cancer. Music saved me. I wrote a song for my mom, no lyrics just a simple melody called december revisited. I hope it helps you through your pain. I wrote it to deal with mine and made it public for others. You can find the link on my channel. Keep your head up. :) S.

  • The way this song was used in the movie was so good... I teared up.

  • somebody has the second trailer song?

  • Beautiful track.

  • thumbs up if u think trent reznor and atticus ross could yet again win best score (:

  • @espanarnar96 They better!

  • This is probably my day 4 listening to this!!! I can't stop. The tune sounds like a tune I have heard before in the past..... don't know where...its such a simple tune yet so beautiful! I havent heard the rest of the soundtrack but this was def the best out of the 6 samples.

  • Long walk in a landscape of nothingness kind of song.

  • Id like to see them score an action film , his work on the " lost Highway " was far better imo

  • I cant stop listening to this! so Trent, so beautiful!

  • Trent and Atticus's work really involve the character. Before, film scores try create the mood of the scene. In the recent years, scores try to tell the story and create the mood. But for Trent and Atticus, they do all. This sound of this track alone really embodies not only the mood, the situation, but also the character as well.

  • @lawrence4566 Scores have been doing that since the beginning of film scores. What trent and atticus are doing is the same thing all the other great composers before were doing, making music for that generation of film.

  • @Amadeus5150 I don't hear it so often anymore. Compared to Hans Zimmer's work now, Trent does a better job.

  • @lawrence4566 Hans Zimmer does scores appropriate for his movies, he doesn't score for the characters but more so on the setting of the movie, which is fine for those films.

Compare Williams to Trent, now where are you?

  • so fucking haunting

  • i love how peaceful and dark this piece is..........Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are Gods among Composers

  • If only this was the 8 minute track <3

  • Just beautiful

  • Glad someone posted this - wanted to get this out to my facebook friends so they pick up the soundtrack. So amazing...another great work by Trent and Atticus!
