  • @AnonymoussourceL0L yeah...feels like im watching the history channel..

  • @fabsauce21 like i said then dont look up the video, simple enough

  • @AnonymoussourceL0L then dont watch it like really.? lmfaooo

  • @Xjellybeansz well this was the only review i could find, and besides, a lot of people in this comment section find this reviewer boring.

  • how much would it cost to convert to rwd???

  • You're an idiot.

  • more than would be worth it... just put in a limited slip and you'll be ok : ) ... its actually a pretty decent handling car and the supercharger makes it quite nice. i would go for a TRD clutch though. the stock one is annoying

  • agreed

  • thats gotta be custom... the drivetrain doesnt go to the rear wheels you would need to do alot of work and chances are it will get messed up if you go cheap.

  • sports coupe ehh? lol

  • charge a flat 18 grand with a supercharger on this car...and it will FLLYYYY off the salesfloor

  • The tC wasn't that fun to drive when you had to turn.

  • tc comes from the word "hatch" for hatchback..ha"TH"back...duuuhh lol

  • spelling fail

  • Ya know whats great about the car they are showing...... its not a 2008 model, its got the wrong tail lights lol

  • tC doesnt stand for anything =.=

    like rim said

they were going to call it xC but xC was already taken, so they used tC

  • The Nissan Altima coupe has ripped this car's taillights.

  • i have ripped ur mom

  • this guys voice is fukin putting me to sleep!

  • I know! Where did they get this guy? Sounds like he's reading obituaries lol

  • He sounds like a computer.

  • How is the Hyundai Accent 3-door a competitor? /confused

  • I think it's cause they're both compact 3 doors.

  • I've read some comments here by people saying that the abbreviation for tC stands for Toyota Celica. (ME SLAP YOU IN THE FACE) It stands for "touring coupe" and the car is indeed the successor of the Celica.

  • did he say it has more then enough room to seat 12 drivers lol?

  • every one does realize that the TC stands for "toyota celica ". Its the same platform as the celica

  • it actually stands for "touring coupe" but it is the successor of the celica

  • @GTCoolieBai973 It's not the successor of the Celica. The tC and the Celica sold side by side the first year of the tC which made it the Celica's last.

Celicas were nice cars, but way over priced. $18,000 gave you a car with crank windows, steel wheels with plastic covers, no sunroof, sad stereo and a Corolla engine.

  • no, completely wrong. nice try though.

  • is the touring coupe wrong, or is toyota celica wrong? I don't know if you are negatived for the right reason.

  • neither. they were going to call it the xC, as in xA, xB, the other models of scion. so tC is just used because the xC was taken by the volvo jeep. tC doesnt stand for anything

  • I had one. Well made, great value, tons of standard equipment, very reliable. But - not much fun to drive & seats really suck.

  • scion tc is the best i own one with 20" rims

  • this is a great car for a new driver. its simple, but gives the accesories teens want. i feel this is perfect and if you complain about performance then you gotta complain bout the new camry, cuz they got the same engine! im gonna go wit the 5 speed.

the auto on this car sucks.

  • CICIVIC COST MORE DUMBASS!!

  • because this one is worth less

    obviously

lets see, do i want an si with 197 hp

    or

    a tc with 161 hp

    ?

    197>161

  • or how about si torque 139 or tc 163, and the only reason the si is 1/2 a second quicker is lsd. so for 7 grand more not really worth arguing.

  • i wnat your mom with 100hp. thats how much she charges per hour

  • his moms cheap 10 dollars yesterday

  • civics ugly

  • i've driven both and the civic does feel like more car. acceleration is decent in both but both cars are about more than a drag race. they both handle well but the civic has a better feel. it just feels like more car. both cars are great but the civic just feels like a better car. once you add up all accessories the price difference isn't as much.

  • not at all. the tc>civic in the aspects u have mentioned.

  • how so? stock for stock the si handles better and accelerates faster. supercharge the tc and get around 200bhp, supercharge the si and get around 300whp.

  • Stock for stock, Civic SI costs $5,000 MORE than a tC.

$4,000 turbo kit on a tC and it'll eat the SI for breakfast. Oh yeah, it'd still be cheaper.

You wouldn't get anywhere near 300hp from the SI's engine with stock internals. It's compression is already sky high. You supercharge that thing and you'll be picking up engine parts all day.

tC's stock block will do 400hp without even trying.

Oh yeah, the tC doesn't have transmission problems like the SI. Gear pop and grind plague SIs.

  • eh, when comparing price i'm talking about both fully loaded. the base price of the tc is much cheaper, but you don't get much. and again, the si is not about drag racing. why the hell would you spend close to $30k on a 4 cyl and just drag race it?

  • When I'm comparing price, I'm comparing BASE price. It's POINTLESS comparing something filling it with as much options as you can.

You get PLENTY for the base price of the tC. You get 17in alloy wheels, 7spkr ipod audio, dual sunroof, 4wheel disc/abs, 9 airbags, 161hp, keyless entry, power wind/mirror, cruise control all starting at $17,500.

The only Civic in that price range is the Civic coupe LS with plastic wheel covers, no sunroof and weak ass engine $17,400.

    No thanks.

  • comes down to personal preferance i guess. i personally prefer the si mainly because i fit in it comfortably. i'm over 6' with stork legs and in order to sit far enough back to keep my legs out of the dash i have to hunch over to reach the steering wheel, which makes my head hit the ceiling. for some reason i didn't have that problem in the si. and r u serious about the stock block on the tc holding 400whp? that is pretty impressive no matter what ur bias is.

  • The Camry engine in the tC is bulletproof. It's one of the smoothest 4 bangers around.

I almost bought one. What stopped me was that the dealer wanted a $4,000 mark up in 2006. I laughed at his face and left the lot.

Earlier this year, I thought about getting a 4dr SI. What held me back? Gear pop. It seems that alot of Civic owners are affected by it.

I don't hate the SI, infact I like it. I just hate people comparing the 2 cars without looking at the price difference.

  • whats up with that, the toyota/scion dealership out here is retarded like that too. they will tell you a price then bump it up at the last minute and hope that you'll just pay.

and the tranny issues in the si are usually solved with a better mtf. but yeah it's sketchy that it has problems like that from the factory.

  • yeah...so its not a camry engine.. this video sucked i was just watching it because there are like, no scion tc review videos. anywho, its a celica engine, or something adapted from that. camry is a different i4. and yeah if my opinion is worth anything, the tC is awesome, and really cheap for what you get... however reapirs (someone hit my right door) come costly at around $2000.

  • @FitaBros Ummm, wrong. The 2AZ-FE is used in the Camry and current Corolla XRS.

What made you think it's a Celica motor ?

  • umm its not a Celica engine. Celica GT engine code was 1ZZ-FE Celica GTS was 2ZZ-GE.... the Scion tC is 2AZ-FE, but is not a Camry motor, it is based on the Camry motor... the only thing the tC's 2AZ uses is the block and 2AZ code name, everything else is different, built and tuned in Japan, while the Camry motor was done in the US... the new Camry motor though is the AR engine code, AR engines will replace the AZ family in the coming months.

  • celicas have a 1.8 genius its completly diff.

  • it is the same 2.4 liter in the 2009 camry. The 2010 camry got the new 2.5 liter.

  • liar, you can get a stage 0 kit for $2500-$3000 for the tC... stage 0 meaning no intercooler, no tune, small turbo... so WAY more cheaper haha... :p

  • its bigger it is more car 200 ibs more
