John 21 is Christ's third appearance to his disciples and which covers Peter's restoration. The miracle of the fishes is just the confirmation that Christ made his disciples fishers of men. The application for today is that as at least as witnesses (not all are evangelists) are to be a fisher of men by sharing the gospel.
