really you cannot compare a modern "cub cadet" to an IH built machine. the original through the '82 series were some of the best machines built. mtd you build junk shame on you. today i parted out my parents 2135. the paint fell off of the machine from the time it left the show room. by the time it was 5 or 6 years old the paint was mostly gone and the metal had severe rust. i compare that POS to the 124 im restoring, the 124 is 40 years old and was rusty but cleaned up great. no holes or rot.
even after sitting outside in a field for many years. you should see it coming back together like new again.
