This is one of my very favourite movies. It's so beautiful and tragic and sweet... I recommend this movie to everybody! I watched it in class after reading the play, and when the lights came on afterward, I was "that girl" who sat there teary-eyed and sobbing. Such a sad movie, but it's amazing. You'll never forget it no matter how long you live!

This isn't that terrible of a movie (though my class disagrees). I don't like how they cut some of the dialogue and some parts that are from the play. When Juliet cries I want to shoot myself in the ears, it's so loud! Other than that, it's a pretty good movie.

I love this film. I definitely prefer the 1968 version to the one circa 1996. I have read the play numerous times and I can say that Leonard Whiting and Olivia Hussey have the EXACT chemistry that I saw of Romeo and Juliet in the play. Not to mention, Nino Rota served justice with his music! Beautiful.

I don't like how things from the actual playwright are left out, though. For example, when Romeo went to find Juliet in the tomb, Paris was supposed to be there. Did they not fight and Paris die? I felt as if he was treating us like we weren't mature adults so it was somewhat insulting and very annoying. Hopefully I can watch this movie from start to finish.
