Just picked up the Japanese version of Raycrisis off ebay for cheap (includes spinecard), the US version seems expensive, so does the Japanese version. Guess I got lucky once again.

Go for it. It's a little lacking in content (only 6 stages, 5 of which you play through at a time), but you can pick stages 2, 3, and 4 freely, so you don't have to go through the same sequence of stages every time.

Hey!!! I played it a lot in Saturn!! The Saturn version is slighty different, and in my opinion, better :P

There´s a sequel too.. better than the first version.

It actually did - Working Designs released the PS1 version on their Spaz shooter label (along with Raystorm and Thunder Force V).

It did I have it. I bought it a gamestop back when PS1 games were selling. It was like 9$ new though I guess not enough people like shmups anymore.

ok about me i got this game from about 8 or 9 years ago and it was like $1 not original copy and played for days and months and completed it many times and still wants to play but sadly after these old days that game disappeared in my games collection and i was searching it for years and finally i've found it ^O^

Very nice Cecil, i havent seen this game in forever. I picked this up back in like 97 or 98 and was hooked on it for the longest time. The series is really good. Glad to see someone still plays, im thinking about mastering this game again now that I see this up. :)

Yeah. The tunes in this game are cool, but like you said, they don't really mesh well with the game. This is the weakest soundtrack of the Ray-series in my opinion.
