  • tried viewing it full screen mode on my iMac 27 in screen, head phones and the room dark .... WOW!

(like to see it on wall screen in a room with surround sound)

  • @mariothepookster Thank you my friend !!! : )

  • Is it open source for downloading?, or at least somewhere you write a document where you specify how you did it all?

  • @lecatie The source code is not for download, I'm afraid - sorry.

I have some information on my website, follow the link above to 'Orpheus' page.

The website will be updated soon with more information regarding other software, including the 'Kaleidoscope' software featured in this video. Many thanks for your interest !!! : )

  • Beautiful

  • @generix83 Many thanks : )

  • @ChemicalComedown

Do you explain somewhere how does it work?

  • @generix83 This was all programmed in Visual Basic, It picks random notes from selected scales to build chords etc. The visuals were once again created in VB, you can use the mouse to control its movement or just let it run off on its own. Hope this helps : )

  • @ChemicalComedown

That's very interesting , what about rythmic patterns? Is it also randomnized, does it follow any particular rule? Have you tried random chords changes? Got my sub anyway :-)

  • @generix83 Yes, the software can generate drums and percussion as well as bass lines. You can also select how many notes in a chord and how many chords are played before looping either forwards, backwards or alternating. I will send you a link to our website outlining this and other software in more detail.

    Many thanks for sub !!! : )

  • @TheRealSpektyr Many thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed : )

  • the computer COMPOSED the tune????

  • @freitasnetuno Hi, yes that's right. I've been experimenting with VB6 and midi to generate random sequences.

When I say random, I mean it picks random notes from a selected scale, so it sounds more harmonic.

Check out our homepage and 'Orpheus Midi Generation' software. : )

  • @ChemicalComedown this scares me a lot, but is really interesting.

  • @freitasnetuno LOL Why you scared ? - Glad you find it interesting, cheers mate : )

  • where is the link to get this software?

  • @paperbachwriter1 Sorry but software is not for sale (Yet)

But please check out our links above to see more of our projects - Thanks

  • just amazing. Thank YOU it feels so good. cheers, meg

  • @artgirlsreality so glad you enjoyed. many thanks : )

  • This is a wonderful ambient poetic composition. Quite fluid and mesmerizing. The visuals remind me of image-processed video, something like that of a Sandin Image Processor. I could even use such visuals in my work! Willow patterns even.

Parts remind me of the work of the late and great Delia Derbyshire.

Very nice indeed and very intriguing!
