  • 9:10, that thing definitely has way more armor and HP than Deathwing o.0

  • let's not get violent over who's better, who's best =/

people have the right to believe and say what they like, yknow? why would anyone want to censor someone's beliefs, especially about something so silly? =/

can we all just get back to feeling the love <3

  • Jims smile shows just how much he loved doing what he did, the love he had to just make people laugh. Absolutely beautiful

  • Ray Charles AND Spielburg in the same video!?

    I love this.

  • 5:58 How come we never see those little penguins anymore?

  • Steve Jobs, Jim, these r ppl that r TRUE innovators!!!!!!

  • @jmc1987jcgc Jim Henson was a wonderful man who spread the gift of joy to the world and is the greatest creative genius the world has ever known.

Steve Jobs was an asshole who abused his workers and took credit for their inventions. Don't you fucking dare compare them.

  • Jim Henson was a rare kind of person. He will never truly fade from our hearts, our minds, or our memories.

  • That being green performance was from sesame street. It made me cry as a child but I never understood why. Now as an adult and seeing this special for the first time in almost 20 years I understand why. It's the power of his words and the power in being ok with who you are. That song is true art. And nobody sang it like ray.

  • the thing with 'my hair is no longer red', whats that from?

  • @BennyDdDizzle It's from the Storyteller episode "Hans My Hedgehog".

  • what's the movie at around 9 minutes, with the giant dragon animatronic, been trying to find that movie for ages!!!

  • @insaneninjabunny After a bit of googling (because I was curious of this myself), I've found the answer!!! It was an episode of the Jim Henson Hour titled "Monster Maker".

If you have Netflix, you can watch it on InstantPlay. =D

    Just look for "Monster Maker".

  • Joy Buzzer

    LOL

  • What's 4:30 from ?

  • @Madinite8 The "I'm Gonna Always Love You" music video.

  • Brother Ray is the only one person who could ever sing that song better than Jim himself.

  • Was Ray Charles on an episode of the Muppet Show?

  • It soo hard to believe Jim henson as been dead for 21 years now

I told my self I was not goin to cry watch this special but i am wipin tears from my cheeks and eyes now!!!

  • @chrismc18 and @dragoniangirl I think that clip comes from Monster Maker, an episode of the Jim Henson Hour

  • my aunt tells me she saw this when it aired on TV and cryed nearly all the way through

  • Steven also Created Freakazoid,Pinky and the Brain, and Animaniacs and many more

  • @chrismc18 I don't know about the clip at 8:42 but the one before it is from The Storyteller series. I believe the episode was called "Hans My Hedgehog".

  • "Don't you think it's just a little over the top?"

    "YES! isn't it wonderful?"

  • Thanks for posting this...I have it on VHS and watched it over and over as a kid until I almost worre out the tape.

  • Anyone know who preformed Whoppie Cushions and Joy?

  • most certainly one of thee most influential people of all time

  • 8:42 what is this from??

  • @rockyhorrorrebel I've been trying to figure this out for years! Same goes for the section right before it. It has been bothering me for quite some time.

  • 5:59 Aren't those the penguins from Little Muppet Monsters?

  • miss you JIM Henson love the muppets movie see this cry he not here jim henson

  • UltraGorgon!

  • Steven Spielberg and John Denver looked really handsome those days

    and

R.I.P Jim Henson, John Denver and Ray Charles

you where men with hearts of gold, teaching children lots of things, making people laugh, still you had to disappear from this world with all the talents you had

    we'll miss you

  • Cool that Frank Oz did some of the voices of some of the muppets, including one creature from Star Wars Yoda

  • I miss you Mr Henson. Has it really been years?

  • what is the episode of the muppets at 4:32?

  • @sgaleano16

it was a clip of the 1980's music video to the song " I'm Gonna Always Love You," which was sung by Baby Piggy in the movie THE MUPPETS TAKE MANHATTAN

  • fuck you spilberg

  • Hi i'm joy! Fozzie: oh hi nice to meet you then he gets electricuted LOL

  • 4:30-4:35 I LOLed.

  • i don't see the muppets on tv that much any more once in a while in commercials.

  • I know! Disney bought the rights to the Muppets, and haven't really done much with 'em. They did put MuppetVision3D in WDW in Florida, and I'm so stoked, THEY'RE MAKING A NEW FRAGGLE ROCK MOVIE!!! XD It's not coming out 'til 2011 or so, but still exciting! I say they're making a comeback. Don't you?

  • disney didn't buy the rights outright. it's a partnership, as brian henson won't simply sell the muppets. they just recently renewed the contract. hence, the muppets' involvement with disney parks' "give a day, get a day" volunteering park promotion.

  • @26doubt Probably seriously worried about backlash if they screw up. It's why they've been damm careful about using The Mouse-it reflects badly on them if it turns out wrong and they're not having that.

They've got a strong rep, though it's old glory, but they will defend that rep to the DEATH.

  • Is there any more footage with Jim and Cantus from Fraggle Rock (4:05)? Cantus is one of my favorite Fraggles.

  • 7:15 IT'S HOGGLE!

  • RIP jim henson i loed him he was and still is awesome

  • i no where u can see the muppets in person!!!!!!! WALT DISNEY WORLD!!!!!

  • or Disney's California Adventure if you're on the west coast ;-)

  • 7:06 was from The Dark Crystal.

  • i wish they would put some of this on dvd by now

  • they should!

  • @blackdinoranger5 You and me both also some other works like his fairy tale stories example, the frog prince, Hey Cinderella! and their christmas special.

  • loved the special :) and the ray charles song, i noticed elmo mixed in with the other mupppets, back when the show wasn't just about him like it is now

  • @jediKnightreviews What was ray charles singing? It's beautiful!!

  • A sad yet touching version of Kermit's classic song: "Bein' Green". Jim Henson will be missed.... :'(

  • @jediKnightreviews Elmo got his own segment on Sesame Street, I imagine, because he's one of the most popular characters on the show. His laugh is infectious, and he was certainly my favourite growing up. I wouldn't say the show is entirely about him now, but his role certainly has increased.

  • In memory of JIm Henson

  • jim henson RIP ur legend still lives on

  • What's the one with the dragon?

  • Yes, Spielberg, heart and reason. That's what made Henson a storytelling genius, that's what EVERY great director needs to know how to convey in his films.

  • spielberg creates Tiny Toon Adventures

  • jim was a genious. he left the world but he gave us something great to remind him by.

  • That rainforest frog song is so sad but beautiful.

  • I started to cry when Ray Charles took over the vocal line of It's Not Easy Beig Green and the images of Jim Henson started to roll by...just beautiful...thanks for posting this

  • The whole story was a fairy tale. The girl's father made a promise to the hadgehog thinking he wouldn't have to keep it. The hedgehog becomes a man at the end.

  • I know.

  • You mean kinda like he was dishonoring Kermit and especially Jim Henson and his work?

  • Jim Henson was freakin' brillant. Way ahead of his time.

  • We miss you Ray! 1930-2004

  • Wow, these videos make me so, so sad. I can't stop crying. :(

  • I didn't know him but at the same time I do...I grew up with the Muppets and this is the first time I've cried about Jim's death. I watched clips of his memorial service on Youtube and Big Bird struggling to sing through "Its Not Easy Bein' Green" was one of the saddest things I've ever watched. Jim will always live on, the Muppets will never die.

  • He was taken away from us a basilion years to soon.

So sad. He practically died over week. meaning he was just fine. Became sort of ill and died a week later. No one ekspected it at the time.

  • 8:02... snoogle?

  • Thankyou, Jim and you're team for helping to raise me to be a good person

  • does anybody know the name of the two live action movies/tv shows (?) that were in this clip? i swear i watched the one with the mechanical dragon when i was a kid

  • The live action stuff is from The Storyteller series.. the one with the Raven is from the greek myths series, the dragon is from the other series... you can find em on netflix, etc.

  • The one with the dragon is from 'The Jim Henson Hour.' It's called 'The Monster Maker' and can be found here on YouTube. Just search The Jim Henson Hour.

  • The hedgehog was from The StoryTeller. The Metal dragon was from Monster Maker

  • Sad thing about this clip is the fact that not only is Jim gone - John Denver and Ray Charles have left us as well.

  • The movie shown near the end of this clip (the one with the dragon) scared me the first time I saw it. Does anyone have that movie here anywhere?

  • i wish jim was still here for the muppets are missing their heart. Jim was and is irreplaceable. this world is missing one great man who knew how to touch everyone.

  • I wish Sesame Street still played in the UK. It's kind of odd thinking my children won't grow up with it the way me and my big sister did.

  • You can always buy em on DVD...

  • I didn't even know they were out on DVD.

  • yes, and oddly enough.. the first two seasons also have a content warning, "not for young children"... i suppose b/c of the subtle censorships that have been put into children's television over the last 30 yrs..

    rediculous to me.

  • it's still painful to watch the clips of him.. i mean it's great, but in a way it's still painful..

he is greatly missed even still

  • thanks for the post

  • This part they took off of the Sesame Street 20 years special!!!

  • Frank Oz and Jim Henson are completely awesome! XD

  • What is the name of the song John Denver is singing w/the Muppets at the campfire???

  • 'It's In Everyone Of Us', which looks to be from the rocky mountain christmas special. You can get the audio from the 'A Christmas Together', track 11. It's part of a medley with a few other tunes.

  • Thanks!!!!

  • i think i had that on 8 track.. lol

  • @gazerbeam42 Lovely

  • @huntress1863 You can also find a version of it as sung by The Hollies. It should be on youtube actually.

  • Kermit flubbed the "Bein' Green" lyrics.

  • HOGGLE I LOVED THE LABRYNTH
