@aluisious Clearly. But as you can see in my comment, I was simply asking what makes someone say zed when it is clearly not english. Obviously the people responding to my comments are not competent enough to answer my questioning. There is no need for rudeness.
@JohnDoeNext I realize not everyone in the world is not American. Precisely why I posted a comment. It seems everyone on youtube who isn't an American is a prick however.
Why play the music when riding, We, or I want to hear the bikes sounds. I wan't to know why it's being called a ZED 1000 instead of Z 1000, Or Zulu 1000, Zed stopped being used after WW-1 then it was Zebra to 1959, Then Zulu. There must be some really old bike riders out there.lol
I agree this was a poor review. MCN has some very good reviewing of other bikes in similar format. This one review skimmed of the surface and did not compare the bikes effectively.
That review was horrible considering it came from a professional motorcycle org. All I learned was that you can fit a helmet in the saddle bags, one bike is cheaper, but the older technology and more expensive bike is "a lot more powerful"...
After testing the B-king and the z1000sx coming from a gsxr1000k7 i bought the z1000sx, its a market filler imo,a tourer thats as sporty a it can be, its on the limit of the catagory 15 insurance. Build quality is realy good compared to suzukis rust buckets (you cant beat honda on that aspect though, built to last) This bike is perfect if you want to reduce you're insurance coz you got caught one time >< and dont want to sacrifice too much power, on paper its 136-8hp but it feels very agile.
From 0.19: Look at the nose of the Kawasaki. Uchhhh so ugly!! Besides, if I want to take a lot of lugage I take the car. A motorbike is for fun, so I want to hear which one is the most fun to drive. That would be the Yamaha then.!
Nice! I have a 2002 FZ1, and really like it. Not super crazy about the new FZ1 though. If I was buying a bike today, I'd probably go with the Z1000. What the video didn't say is that the Z1000 has almost the same horsepower, and it tops out at a lower rev (10k vs. 11k for the FZ1). The Z1000 also has more torque. If you are looking for more info, BIKE UK magazine has a nice review as well (think they may be the same guys).
As a 1st gen FZ1 rider, I must say the new Ninja 1000 has me drooling -- though I'll skip the panniers version. I do think the 2nd gen FZ1 is pretty, but not so great, hence why I own the older carbureted model even though it too is a bit long in the tooth and soft until you mod it a bit. If I were buying right now it'd be the Ninja 1000.
I like both these bikes, the Kawasaki is more up to date unsurprisingly as that model (shape) FZ1 was launched in 2006. It needs an update now and i'm hoping that the next one will have a big bang R1 based engine tuned more for torque.
Ja! when you said 10,399 pounds, I thought there is no f@#%ng way it weighs 5 tons, then I realized he's a Brit, and meant money.. duh! Well, how much do they weigh? I'm guessing under 1000 #'s or there abouts..lat'r Buzz
Kawasaki totally hit the nail with the Z1000sx. You get a little of everything in one bike and it's also beautiful. The Fazer just looks blend and old.
nice review, i don't like the looks of kawasaki but it is much better bike than yamaha which is due for a change its been more than a few years since it came out
If it was very similar to the slabby heavyweight vfr1200 honda in its shape and style then I wouldn't be interested. No, its alot more similar to sportsbike styling taking cues from the zx10r and zx6r. Also thats why in the states its being sold as the ninja 1000.
@stalkersham technically, the Kawasaki is better and looks much better.

@MrBradbox I think a z600 would virtually be a ninja 650R - er6f. It would be cool though and probably would be an upgrade form the 650.
