  • Chickenwire? Lol love this movie!

  • i can actually sound like both of the "brothers" in singing this song. john belushi, jake/fat, is dead. dan aykroid, elwood/slim, is still alive as an actor/movie director but mainly a movie director.

  • Hahaha I love the Blues Brothers.

  • I would imagine so.

    (L)

  • i dont get why they're throwing bottles...

  • They're supposed to be a bunch of ridiculously rowdy cowfolk. It's like throwing underwear, but in their own special way.

  • ohh ok... Do people like these exist? Are there real clubs were the band plays in a cage and gets bottles thrown at? O.o

  • classic funnieness, watch the full movie, you 'd wish you lived in

    chicago. I miss John.

  • He is miming a "Blues Man"!!! :-D

They are in that way in all the movie parts... when a missile destroy their house also... eheheh!!! :D

  • Hahah i love how they never laughed EVER in the movie. Blues Brothers is a classic prolly my favorite movie of all time

  • stop questioning how the movie was made it happened now just watch the video

  • LOVE ELWOOD!!!!! GREAT MOVIE!!!!!

  • Now THAT wasn't heckling, as the audience was cheering. They were just a bit wild that's all. If they had have been heckling, they would have got someone to go up to the chickenwire with a shotgun and just blow the band away. That's just the southern way of doin' things. ;-)

  • Looks like there is a fair ammount of bottles & such hitting the chicken wire, but not breaking.

  • It's just to show appreciation, they probs don't mean to hit the band... When they start playing Rawhide at least :P

  • oh I beg to differ, glasses give him opportunity to really get under the skin of the character, make us believe, and take us along the ride with him. he didn`t lose anything, the movie is richer because of it. + it makes possible one of the best scenes in the film, when he takes them of...

  • Seems like the bottles would be cushioned by the chicken wire and not break when they hit it.

  • .... it topped the charts

  • And Belushi was class, the whole Shades thing was one of the defining characteristics of The Blues Brothers.

  • ye haw!

  • this movies' great

  • The man at the bar, Lou Perryman, was murdered at his Austin, Texas home last Thursday. RIP Lou.

  • I didnt mean to start a whole discussion about this. I was only asking if there was reason behind the people throwing bottles at the wire fence.Really wasnt expecting to have a long and boring conversation that made me look like I hated the film and only thought of things to say just to annoy people. How u came up with that, i dont know. Anyways..can this please stop, as it is more important to just enjoy their work and not go into much detail..

    Thanks.

    blues brothers Rule!!

  • GREAT MOVIE

  • My most favorite part in the whole damn movie! Jolied doesn't even move... He just sings, and you don't even expect him to do that!!

    Too cool! 5 stars!!!

    ★★★★★

  • Request lyrics.

  • Rollin', rollin', rollin' Though the streams are swollen Keep them dogies rollin' Rawhide! Rain and wind and weather Hell-bent for leather Wishin' my gal was by my side. All the things I'm missin', Good vittles, love, and kissin', Are waiting at the end of my ride

Move 'em on, head 'em up Head 'em up, move 'em on Move 'em on, head 'em up Rawhide Count 'em out, ride 'em in, Ride 'em in, count 'em out, Count 'em out, ride 'em in Rawhide!

  • Just to nitpick, it's "cut 'em out" not "count 'em out". To cut out certain cows or steers is to separate them from the rest of the herd.

  • its a film. a COMEDY its not a social documentry. why they throwing bottles ? cos its a film its a COMEDY are you people so stupid ? have you ever seen this COMEDY fim ? your supposed to laugh not have an discussion.

  • they're drunk and they're hicks...it's too funny.....

  • wats with the throwing of the bottles??

    random..but who cares...

    I LUV THIS!!!

  • there drunk?

  • yea i know that..but if they liked the song..why would u throw glass bottles at the barrier??? i just dont get THAT bit...lol

    dw

  • exactly there drunk!,

they dont know what the fuck to do

  • w/e

  • Rednecks don't make sense. End of.

  • Honestly, after seeing this growing up I thought it was strange, and for the longest time as a kid I SINCERELY thought that every bar and concert was like this: bottles getting thrown an smashed on a chicken wire fence. Needless to say, I'm sorely disappointed.

  • Great scene and song, I just love the shit -kicking rednecks!

  • btw: it's much better than the soundtrack version, it's even bit faster and up a little bit. Thumbs Up

  • i luv blues brothers and whoever say that the movie is crap then ill f***ing kill them

  • I help ya.

  • Dear mwlray,

I believe the point the BB movie tries to make is that country music is lame as hell. In this it is, of course, 100% correct.

    Sincerely,

    asuniko

  • lmao at 1:27

  • jiaaaaa¡¡ jiaaaa¡¡¡

    ,q grossos son estos wuasos

  • really

  • they throw beer bottles even when they are doing good

  • its a tradition at some bars for some reason

  • really

  • Comment removed

  • Rollen rollen rollen!!!!!

  • best movie ever

  • how much do you love how Belushi is standing there with his arms crossed?

  • You just don't like it.....

  • Dear Nicko93' I love Frankie's western film songs and sing them myself almost everyday; that's why I believe I am qualified to give a justifiable comment on

Blue Brothers singing quality and not the song, which is excellent.

    ;

  • Well, sure give your comment, don't feel obliged to justify yourself :)

Personally, it's the first time I hear this song and the Blue Brothers singing it, so I can't tell, but am I right to think this is a song they made themselves?? Or they just sing it?

Enlighten me, as you seem to know this field well :)

  • Dear Nicko93,thanks for your feedback to

my reply to you earlier. Do search rawhide

    - frankie laine in youtube and compare it

with that 'sung' by Blue Brothers and I am

sure you would agree with my comment

    on them. With regards.

  • I've watched it, and indeed I must fully agree with you! I won't say that the Blue Brothers' one was bad, but less inferior to the original!!

  • However, it's the Blues Brothers who made the song cool, in the right context of a cool movie... ...the other versions are too corny & soft .. gay'ish.

  • Dear KongHans, you might have come

accross many versions but most likely

without the one by Frankie Laine. The

comment on his ghost riders in the sky

    by samtanna34(3weeks ago) "Frankie

Laine is THE MAN" is well said. What's

more "...how I wishin' my gal was by my side" is not all that 'gayish' or is it ?

  • Dear "mwlry" (if I said it right)

Thanks for your input, and out of respect I naturally listened to your suggestion, and sorry to say, it's all the same to me. It's a too soft and nauseating vocal and presentation, Seriously !

However I'm sure my Granny probably like it.

Don't mind the text, just the voice....

(I also don't like all those boy bands, singing like little girls, it's terrible)

Nope, taste is almost impossible to agree in or discuss, I like blue.... and ... Blue, White & Red

  • eso parece CUMBIA PERUANA mal llamada CHICHA... find: CHACALON, LOS CHAPIS, TONGO, NECTAR... etc

  • im glad the blues brothers make a cover of all these songs

  • I used to watch this with my dad all the time great movie :)

  • Chicken wire?

  • if you play bad music you get bottles thrown to your head its for safety :D

  • It's traditional... to protect the band from rough bar patrons. That way, the band can keep on playing if a bar fight breaks out ;) Look up "I love this bar" by Toby Keith for another fine example.

  • I love how the bottles keep getting thrown at them like there putting bottles in one of those baseball thrower things. lol

  • i love the way john looks at the whip and thinks to himself. ' i have an idea' lol

  • buena peli, buenas canciones y...bueno son los mejore we are the champions.john belushi hace un paple cojonudo y el dan aykroyd mas toavia me encanta las 2 pelis blues brothers forever

  • don't you mean an american tail?

  • this song is great. Blues Brothers rules!

  • The guy dancin on the table is funny!

  • yeeeeeaaaaaaaaah

  • I was @ a wedding in rural West Virginia and after the receprion we went to a bar. Everyone was doing karakoe and I was forced to sing but hate country music. Long story short it was a hit, RAWHIDE!
