  • got a question man, when i put a drum loop in recycle and i change the tempo, the sample doesn't stretch!

  • @Caseybateman turn your stretch to 0.

  • "or not to view that is the question........yes.." this is a great tutorial, but that part had me laughing my head off. So lame its hilarious!!

  • I really wish you kept talkn

  • Thnx for the tutorial man. This is a really stupid question, but I am not able to delete slices within the Reason Recycle Program. In other programs, ur able to highlight a certain section and delete it yet i can't seem to do that here. As the videos on youtube have shown me, I used the mute tool to mute certain slices but the sound is still there.... and though at times in the edit menu, there is a select all or delete option that appears I am able to delete nothing. Thnx

  • nice tutorial. Just one question, can I in someway switch places of the different slices?

  • so very well explained.

  • Can't live without this program.

  • thnx

  • Really insightful video, lots to be learned here. For some more ideas and tips check out my attached video, hope it helps as much as this one.

  • this guy's voice is so convincing......i trust him fully, and believe that the information he provides is indeed "FACT"

  • Hey. You should put tutorial how to put vocals in Reason 4 by recycle. But long vocals such accapella. I don't know how to do this cause when I export this as one sample accapella in reason by dr rex after about 40 sec is such quiet that it isn't hear.

It will be very gratefull. Greetings

  • Question? If you load a whole song into Recycle, how do you trim what you dont want. Im having a problem understanding that aspect of the program..

  • @bwflolo left and right locators

  • @bwflolo left and right locators can be used to crop any area's outside of what you want, anything between the locators will be saved, anything else will be deleted.

  • im trying to remix a song in reason, so i put it into recycle to convert it to a dr. rex file so i can open it up in reason. but i cant get it to play right in reason because i dont know how many bars are in the whole song altogether, how do i figure out how many bars are in it with recycle? please help.

  • @brettsopher17 Calculate the BPM of the track, if you know the BPM versus the overall time of the track you will know how many bars are in the song.

  • ok, my recycle just started acting stupid and i can't play any thing nor can i click on the sample pieces for them to play. the play, rewind, FF, etc. tabs are faded. you would think when you actually pay for stuff (lol) you wouldn't run into this type of crap? any thoughts on what this is?

  • @secondbest21

Not sure. Uninstall and reinstall. Could be any issue with your computer.

  • @secondbest21 you need to remember to place a bpm before you can have access to those tools, otherwise it's not going to understand what bpm to playback the audio rate at.

  • cheers mate, learned tonnes of infor about recycle that was racking my head, from your video! 5 stars from me mate, even if u are theo pathetis! cheers

  • This guy sounds like Theo Paphitis

  • @dominicantuloab

You need to convert it to a WAVE file (wav.), download a simple MP3 converter to do this then load it into ReCycle!

  • cheers man, big help!

  • Thank you very helpfull..

  • i cant open my mp3's it says it not the format or somethin like that...please help!!!!

  • don't support mp3....

  • Use Format Factory, it;s a free file converter. Change you mp3 file to a wav file.

  • Why can't i use "Crop Loop" in ReCycle? I can't click on it, even though i finished setting the slices?

  • @bambapabbi You have to make sure you pull in the left and right tab sliders in to where you want to crop! Also make sure you have a slice point on where you want to crop else the tab wont stick!

  • I have checked so...so....so many tutorials....and..basicly....i think i just found out that you cant move the slices ?...

So if you have kick kick snare kick.... you cant move them to make kick snare snare kick kick ?...

WHAT THE HELL XD i wanted to make my own crazy Rex files but i cant even moves the slices so that i can get a totally different beat ?

Please tell me so i can look for a different program if i can not hahah.!

  • thanx a lot man that shelped alot i had no clue how to use it now i do thanx again

  • does anybody, ANYBODY??? understand the bars and beats stuff

  • usualy (in dance and hip-hop music) 4 beats made one bar. The example here is no exception.

  • Most tracks u hear will be 4/4 time - 4 beats to a bar, 4 bars to a measure. Just count along to a track, 1234,1234,1234,1234 and you'll get the idea. Dance music usually has a kick drum on 1,2,3&4, Hip Hop will usually have a kick drum on 1& maybe 3, but is generally a lot looser in feel, Still, you should be able to count to 4 thru most tracks. Most tracks are structured in 2 or 4 measure (16 or 32 beat) chunks (verse, chorus etc.) Hope this makes sense..

  • thanks mate really useful info for me and i hadn't realised the right click function on individual slices :)

  • I am having an issue changing the tempo using recycle. I enter the number of bars and beats and obtain the tempo I want. When I import the rex sample into reason, the sample is the same tempo as originally started. can anyone give some help?

  • how do you swap the slices round in this way?

  • you can only export slices as rx2? how fucking uselesss is that.

  • all these options and you cant even swap the sections around... pretty poor

  • Every time i put in an audio mainly mp3...it says the file is corrupt or not right format...can anyone help???

  • use a program like goldwave to convert it to wav file

  • Okay i have a problem, I save the file in rx2 and everything sounds great but once I import the rx2 file into Reason it takes a while for the loop to even start and when it does I get this rewinding start at the end, a pause, and then the loop starts again.

I got this problem when I had the wrong bars or BPM in ReCycle but even if I fix that in recycle I get the same problem in Reason.

    Please help.

  • you mean after the sample is cut for touch up,it draws out with a echo after each locator bar it go's over right.I have the same problem.

  • very helpfull mate, Thanx !

  • Thanx men!

  • great video, thanks!

  • How do 1 set the bars of the track? I mean i load a track, cut it to slices, then,i wanna export it,but it says, that i need to enter the number of bars. How can i figure out the number of bars in my loop?

  • When I export a sliced sample as a .wav file, the resulting file works, but then has an echo at the end. How do I fix this?

  • You gotta take the stretch off 40% and put it to 0% my dude

  • @caseybateman you need to make sure the steps are correct as well as the bpm, otherwise the rex will repeat the last to fit measure.

  • thank you cheers for the fishcakes

  • sWeet vid Bruv,, ThanX

  • ok, can you explain? Could it be because I have converted an MP3 into an AIFF?

  • Does anyone know how to change the BPM of a loop without it sounding awful!!?? I've just been trying to change a 96bpm loop down to 90bpm, I've adjusted the sensitivity slider to around 86 and turned stretch all the way to 100%. It sounds 'glitchy' - I always have this problem...Do the settings/set up need adjusting?

  • you need a higher rate sample.

  • To view, or not to view, that is the question............yes.

    Awesome.

    Nice vid too, very helpful.

  • Very nice video guy.

    Cheers

  • is it possible to adjust an off beat slice? I have a 4/4 beat with the last slice slightly off the beat, therefore it's not looping properly. I was wondering if it's possible to cut/separate that slice that is off the beat, and adjust it?

    Thank you

  • how the hell do u sync to tempo any sample you play on ur midi keyboard to any pre drum loop in dre rex

  • Thanks, very helpful

  • great video, thanks for the lesson. regards

  • Great video. Thanks a bunch for the post.

  • Awesome, this really gets me going, thanks!

  • CHEERY-OOOO

  • to view or not to view that is the question, yes.

  • to view or not to view. That is the question.......yeah! lol

  • very nice tutorial- cheers man

  • nnxt is better to sample with

  • you can only trigger with nnxt. if you dont understand the difference you dont know what you are doing!

  • It is extremely stupid to ask for such a thing on such a public site.

the makers of these programs have departments specifically designed to hunt down the people trying to get free serial keys and shutting down the methods through which they get them....

So if you want to continue pirating programs, ask things like in private messages or in small, relatively unknown forums.....

You're effectively ruining pirating for yourself...

  • Hmm,I had my beat sliced in 13 pieces,when i export it,it only exported 8 pieces,how come?

  • Send me a PM and put a screenshot of your original ReCycle screen and maybe I can help.

  • hey everytime i try to load a sample from recycle on reason as a rex file it says that it has more than 92 slices. how do i lower the number of slices?

  • You can either lower the sensitivity of the slider (watch around 6:15 in the video)

Or you can just click each slice point that you don't want and delete it.

OR, you can export, say 1/3 of the song, that contains many parts you want and reopen it and edit and slice them separately

  • i have this program but dnt know to install it what do i do

  • how can i load an mp3 song into recycle or how can i can convert it in order to create a sample from it an then load it in the Drrex help would be appreciatted tahnks.

  • You have to convert it to .wav file (for example wav) using software like "Audacity" (freeware) and then you can load it to recycle, save and then in reason you can use both Dr. Rex Loop Player and NN-XT advaned sampler (NN-XT gives you more "freedom" in adjusting anything you want) Peace

  • great suff m8..

  • lol,thought sos too

  • lol thought so too

  • cheers

  • wonderful... i'm just having problems saving perfected loops, and having that same loop transfer over to Dr Rex as the loop that I've improved. For some reason it's always the original loop. Its a turd bender for sure, and i'm to the point where i'm about to knock my head in with a hammer.
