I swear, if this movie's soundtrack doesn't get nominated for/win the Oscar for Best Original Soundtrack this year I am going to FREAK. And as much as I love James Horner, THIS movie's music deserves the award over Avatar's.

Avatar was probably the most overrated movie of the DECADE, never have I seen a movie which so earnestly made me desire a refund.

'Princess' got two nominations for Best Song, so its chances are pretty good (Though if I were them, the songs I would have submitted would be 'Friends on the Other Side' and 'Dig a Little Deeper,' since those were my favorites). Here's hoping it wins, and can't wait to see Anika performing 'Almost There' live!

I loved Randy Newman's music in this movie...

And yeah, when I hear him sing, I instantly know it's Randy Newman...

Although that song, Down in New Orleans, does sort of remind me of Toy Story.

It's kind of iconic for Disney to do that for seperate generations. I mean, my parents remember Bambi's mom when they were really little and I remember hiding in my dad's arm when Mufasa died. There's a new generation from when Disney stopped making 2d films until now. It seems like it was right with the world to give another traumatic death to a new generation of Disney fans.

Children are deeply affected by adults' reactions and behaviors towards something, if they witness them talking ill or reacting badly to something, they assume they should hate/feel scared/ sadden towards the same thing, even not getting the complex part of it.

A good example for this "automatic" behavior is this: I went to see Disney Parade here in Brazil yesterday, when it ended I went out. Beside me, a couple with a child around 4, 5 years said that she got scared of... Mickey!

Then the woman softly asked, "You were scared of Mickey?!"

The girl went silent and looked at her in confusion, she didn't get the woman's reaction for she (by some possible past experience) thought she was supposed to be scared of him.
