  • SEE THIS VIDEO AND CRY.... NEVER FORGET THE 11. VIVA ISRAEL!!!

  • The way all of the athletes of a country walk in unison creeps me out a bit...

  • 0:16:28 WTF they are doing a Nazi salute??

0:32:16 some of these men only had a few days to live, so sad...

  • @ricarleite Actually it's not the Nazi salute. It's the Olympic salute, which is also similar to the Roman salute. Nazis were stupid and instead of creating their own stuff, they tried something easier: copying ¬¬

  • @wilsonkrugner Yes, of course, that salute did exist previously. But it is against the law in Germany, to this day, to do this salute in public. The swastica is also illegal, even though it was the symbol of the sun and marks temples on eastern countries. I guess the 72 Olympics were REALLY relaxed regarding law and safety, at least over the first 10 days!

  • @ricarleite I know, but what I mean is that bolivians didn't seem to be praising nazism. I completely agree with you. Everything was going perfectly. It's a shame that the massacre screwed up everything =/

  • @ricarleite VIVA ISRAELE

  • Gute Musik! Erstmalig keine Nationalhymnen!

    Revolutionär!

  • Did they have HD video back then??

  • @rubber4532 Well they had film, which is of excelent quality and can be converted into HD footage.

  • 1:14:25 Thailand

  • Amazing picture quality. I'm so used to any video from that time being a lot grainier. Really fun to watch. I loved the outfits (lots of mustard yellow, lol!) and the kitschy music. All very 1972...thanks for posting!

  • I feel chills going down my spine watching the israeli delegation walk out

  • Who would have believed that 11 days later, the 80,000 would be mourning the deaths of 11 Israeli athletes? On the day of the opening ceremony, everyone would be as young as the children greeting the athletes with their garlands. On the day of the memorial service, everyone would be feeling old.

  • @pookerville I know, what a tragedy. And those PIGS even had the audacity to pull that off during the first Olympic Games in Germany after WWII to tell the whole world: Jews are getting killed again in Germany. Damn pali terrorists!

  • the footage here is incredible

  • 1:03:54 - the last time we'd see that flag and name at the Olympics.
