I looked at the list of CDs in the Sivananda Divine Life Society shop to try to find the CD someone mentioned in a post before, but cannot find it. Does anyone know if these songs all came from the same CD...and do you know where I can find the words to the bhajans?

I am nothing but an ignorant American but IMHO the externalization of the guru is a most dangerous practice., as can be seen in India, Tibet, and most of the Middle East. A good teacher is less interested in honorifics and more interested in bringing the guru out in the "student". A good teacher sees the guru in the student. Anyone in the spiritual materialistic model can attempt to gain power over others thu repeating "shri" "shri" and committing all manner of evil.

In the west the thinking is that a spiritual person is one who doesn't show off and keeps himself reserved.

In the east they think a man who worships Gods and chants the scared mantsa and dresses like a monk or faqir or tortures his body is a spiritual person.

Please go through the life of Swami Sivananda to know what he has done for mankind,,Saints need not always have to outwardly show and effect mankind,,,the power of divine within them helps humans to move forward to god,and singind devotional chants and hymns exites and cleans the vital body of human,,all his desires and hence alows physic being to progress easily.

The world is like a dirty water and all the saints are like some drop of anti-germ liquids. Anti-germs certainly kills and control the development of germs upto some extend. What we need here is more anti-germ liquids to sanitize the entire dirty water or atleast all the drops of dirty water (people of world) to be changed into pure water drops by purifying themself.
