If you are serious about airsofting, you should go with the KS P90. It is way more versatile being more compact, but that is only if you have the M4 mag adaptor for it. P90 mags and the p90 pouches are more rare and pricey so having the ability to use M4 mags is good.

CQB would stand for Close Quarters Battle, as opposed to CQC which is Close Quarters Combat. CQC is a system of physical defense. It's pretty much like martial arts. CQB would be used in situations where they're talkin about firefights and things of that sort in close proximity.

i got a spring downgrade on my jg hk416 the rate of fire will blow your mind, it still fires at around 340 fps though, i definately reccomend getting a waeker spring

.12 does work but is highly discouraged. .12 scratches up your barrels and destroys your hopup thus rendering your gun completely inaccurate and turning it into a bb hose. Which isn't a good thing. FPS for .2 is about 370.

Nice review. You explained a lot, and even did a firing test. I got this gun a while back. Very nice gun except for the selector switch issue I had. If you have this issue of it falling off, just put some blue level or medium stength thread locker on the end of the screw and you should be fine. Another main problem is that i have to use pliers to get my battery out every time. It gets stuck. I can deal with it though.

Damn, I feel lucky then. My selector lever got loose on me in the middle of my skirmish so for half the skirmish I had to hold the selector lever at auto to use auto. But I got home and tightened it and thats end of story. Thanks for commenting and watching btw :)

It can be ignored. When I had my skirmish, I did a lot of covering fire for my teammates so it's not too bad. 600 rounds? ah yes. Or you can buy other AK47 magazines. AK47 and AK74 mags are interchangeable too.

The rail is not covering the front sights. And the stock sights arent that good. it's very hard to aim with and the front sight post's needle, is bound to snap off because mine did. So I just stuck on a red dot sight on it.

Yes! That happened in the middle of my skirmish. All you have to do is take a flathead, pry off the little button cover, NOTHING ELSE. Then use a crosshead screwdriver and tighten it. Then pop the button back on.

In many CQB sites, the FPS limit is about 320-330. This gun is definitely higher than that so you would need to modify the gun with a weaker spring if you were to go CQB with this.

The foregrip has a distinct texture and color I can't grab a hold of. I don't think the cheap pot metal that chinese gun makers use will be able to replicate it. PLUS, personally I rather have pretty good, sturdy plastic than weak, cheap metal

Guys I went to a skirmish 1 1/2 week ago and my AK held up pretty damn well, but there has been some problems. The little needle on the front sight broke off because it was simply weak pot metal. After a while, the selector lever became lose but that is fixed by popping off the cap on the selector lever and tightening the screw underneath. With hopup correctly adjusted, this gun is a beast.

The approximate time is the battery's MAH divided by the charger's MAH.

When the gun compresses the spring to fire the BB. The stronger the spring, the greater the strain it is on the spring guide, and the gearbox shell. In the end, if you put too much stress, the spring guide will break especially if it's plastic and the gearbox shell will crack along with some other malfunctions.

It is metal. The internal gears are metal. But usually with Chinese companies, they put in plastic spring guides. Sometimes even CLEAR plastic spring guides (which is even worse). The metal that these Chinese companies use, is usually crap/pot metal which is the weakest of metals. Just because these gun internals are metal, doesn't mean they're durable. I've had my gun since late August. I've treated it like my baby and shot through about 10,000 rounds in it and it's still going strong.

It comes with a battery but its a Ni-CD battery. So the rules with NI-CD battery is that, you have to deplete your battery in order to charge up your next charge or else you risk messing up the life of your battery if you charge while there is still a charge left in there.

It's approximately the battery mAH divided by the charger mAH. The first time you charge the battery, you add about an extra hour to "condition" your battery. If you are getting the full stock JG AK version, you are probably going to get the NI-CAD battery. DO NOT CHARGE IT UNTIL YOUR BATTERY GOES DEAD unless you wanna kill your ni-cad battery's life. Ni-MH batteries are different, they're more expensive but you can charge em whenever you want (except when the battery is full of course).

I just bought this gun, since the guy at the store said that AKs were godly. I had actually gone in intending to buy a JG MP5, but totally got the folding stock version of this gun instead. And HAHA. Yeah, I put on a red dot scope. Not even a reflex sight, but a red dot scope. It does look somewhat awkward, but I have gotten used to it, and the iron sights are sort of impossible to use.

Unless you're going to skirmish, I'm sure you don't need to worry about that. Just be care with it and be sure not to force it open. If you are so worried, then get another gun. The Dboys M4 S-System is a good choice for a M4 rifle as it is at $99 (Which happens to be the free shipping price at hitguns). Or if you really want a Kalashnikov with a fullstock, the Cyma AK74 is a good one too.
