This version of the game is by far the worst. Ported to the PS2 from this version, was the first one that I played. Can't even run that fast in this game...But beating this game before playing the PS3/360 version, makes playing that version feel so much better. They haven't made even a decent Spider-Man game since SM3 for the the PS3/360 since :(.

It was released on PS2,PSP,Wii,DS,GBA,PC,PS3 and 360 only.

They stopped producing the original Xbox back in August 2005 when the contract with Nvida ended which MADE THE GRAPHICS CARD FOR THE ORIGINAL XBOX.

i used to play this game for a few days on my psp but cuz i lost my memory card i had to play it from the beginning till the end without stopping :D the first time when i reached the final lvl my psp shut down cuz of the low battery and the second time my spider-man fell underground and cuz i didn't have a memory card i started over and i never got pass the last level :(

I liked all 3 spider-man movies and games, I own all of them and love them. I don't really like spider-man 3 the video game as much as spider-man 2 and spider-man the movie video game was decent but not what i was looking for. The best spider-man game that I know is spider-man 2 the movie video game for the orgional systems such as the xbox, gamecube, and playstation 2. Overall the graphics and extra plots are bad but is definatly worth it if u love spider-man.

As for people complaining about Ray focusing on the story: His review was fine. Its not like he didn't talk about the gameplay at all. He focused on the story because that was a major flaw in the game.

@GrandTourGoku I'd say Spider-Man 2 was, it just had more gameplay, but then, Ultimate Spider-Man had a nicer story, and venom, and style, and the complete lack of any Tobey Maguire, and a badass limited edition version with a comic, and an interview where Stan Lee tells the same exact story he always tells about Spider-Man, and a G4 making making of special that was an episode of Icons (or Game Makers, or whatever), and alternate skins, and... oh yeah, it had Venom!

Much deeper combat system, more varied accribatic controls, and more things you can actually do with the wall-crawler, like have huge fights on walls or a air-combat system, which allows you to keep doing combos without ever having to touch the ground.

All the enemeies look the same (one time it's a blue electric lisard, an other time it's a robot lisard), the combat system isn't as intuitive as Web of Shadows... It basically is always the same: Get in a level, see the bad guy, then he escapes, upgrades himself, and then you defeat it once and for all. I'd rather they do 1 guy nicely done then 4 rushed ones. I'd have loved to have a sandbox 2099 game...
