  • I dont eat vegetable or fruit what so ever, true story. I dont know how i will survive without meat... im actually eating bacon right now. Though im quite healthy, i exercise. Also im 6,2 and weigh 150 pounds.

  • veganism is gay and is bad for you, we are designed to eat both meat and vegetables

  • @Ichliebegermany

We are designed? First of all, we evolved. Second of all, we are still evolving and you don't need meat. You need eggs and milk or yeast (some source of Vitamin B12), other than that, you can survive on vegetables and fruit.

Veganism is not "gay", it could be argued that it leads to Vitamin B12-shortage. This makes it not nearly as unhealthy as the average American diet, which holds far more risks, s that's a busted argument as well.

  • @Ichliebegermany True fact!

  • @Ichliebegermany Yea, whatever, but too bad we vegetarians live longer :)

  • @576sheba really cuz ive read studies that have said that we live about the same, its just that omnivores are most likely to smoke and exercise less. but health concious omnivores can live just as long if not longer. plus genetics also are taken into affec

  • vegetarians are tards

  • @atodkid984

Wow, what a rare gem among arguments that is.

  • @atodkid984 I second that.

  • I went vegetarian at the beginning of the year, and I couldn't be happier. I feel great, I'm at a healthy weight and I feel better as a person to not eat animal flesh anymore. I hope more and more people become vegertarian and educate themselves as well as others.

  • I went vegetarian 3 weeks ago and whenever i feel like eating meat, i watch this video, it really helps me a lot!!!

  • Cow:}

  • my MACAW IS A meet eater

  • @BIRDANGAL No they are not your user name is birdangal i thought you would know more about birds. Most birds are insectivores

  • I went vegetarian cold turkey 3 months ago and I haven't looked back. =) This video is great!

  • I went vegetarian cold turkey 7 years ago. The last thing I ate was a home made cheeseburger. Never going back!!

  • Much, much respect. So well done. I gave up meat, poultry, and fish cold turkey 25 years ago this month. My parrot died a month ago - we were very close. I love your awareness that eating animal flesh is akin to consuming someone's mate. Someone recently told me that animals don't have feelings. I went home and cried. How one treats animals is a reflection of their character and level of compassion. Peace.

  • @shesheshelilsheila People treat plants pretty bad. Why aren't you crying for them? Native plants are being suffocated by invasive species, some plant species are dead. People "consume" a lot of plant areas. Plants are fighting to survive as well. Maybe not in the same sense as us animals but they want to thrive just as much as us.

  • @iCraacked thats the same old ass argument all non-vegetarians use and its fucking retarded. if youre so concerned about the plants then why dont you give fruits and vegetables up. good luck with the heart attack.

  • @rgcubanita I don't really care what you eat, you eat what you like, that's really up to you. I just make this argument towards certain people who only feel sorry for animals yet not other living things when really, plants are no different. You're going to be killing something anyway. I choose to eat meat, just not a lot since I like rice, bread, and the likes more than I do meat. And anyway, I'm going to die and feed other organisms so..... I just don't care if I eat plants or meat.

  • @iCraacked No plants dont have brains they are made up of cells so really they dont even fear pain.

  • @comarorobotcollector They do react to stimuli, though. And they ARE alive.

  • @mallaass yes but they don't fell pain because they don't have a brain, just cells they are not even aware of themselves.

  • @comarorobotcollector

You don't need a brain per se to feel pain, you simply need nerve endings and some sort of central nuclei. There are animals without brains that can feel pain, like starfish, certain insects, etc.

  • @SSTTEEAALLTTHH Im a vegetarian and i dont eat meat but i know plants are alive but they dont fell it the same as animals do they cant scream that would freak me out i also dont hert bugs unless they hert me on perpose only killed 7 bugs in my life and i am 16.=)

  • @comarorobotcollector Fun fact: New technology shows ANY plant feels paint and to a really great extent! I can link it if you want so you know im not trolling.

How do you think we should handle this problem?

  • @shesheshelilsheila When people say that animals don't have feelings, I have to ask: "So all they have is sheer intellect? It's so obvious that other animals are mostly feelings based.

  • That cow is freaking adorable. <3

  • I love how people think that the reason Americans are fat is because we consume fat. Do people still believe that eating fat makes you fat? I have no problem if you're a vegetarian for moral reasons but the people who claim that its healthier than a diet consisting of meat are delusional.

  • I became vegetarian in one day and didn't even crave for meat. I guess everyone's different. From childhood I always ate lots of fruit and vegetables and not a lot of meat.

  • I became vegetarian cold turkey

  • Thank you so much for sharing this information.

Life, and the whole world. Would be better off if we were all veg/vegan.

  • japan has the longest living people in the world, they also eat meat. so, how can this be explained, in fact, the only country and countries, that have health issues, is the united states, and countries that farm like, and eat food from the united states. why do veg, all think farmers will keep farm animals as pets is we all became veg, ?

  • @40ozkillakaps so do assholes like you...

  • I want to be a vegetarian but I have no idea what to make for meals

  • Search for vegetarian recipes on Google.

  • @freddythecanine

search for some indian recipes on google.. since 30 percent of indians are vegetarians and even the rest have meat occassionally , there is a lot of variety of vegetarian dishes.. Though it might take some time to get used to the taste.. indian food is pretty spicy..

  • I went vegetarian all at once. It wasn't that difficult. Personally, I think it's better to give it up all together and kick the meat addiction right away.

  • To everyone who uses human canines as proof that we are supposed to be omnivorous: Chimpanzees have much larger canines than we do and they eat much less meat. Only the males have particularly long canines, while females have shorter ones. Their canines are used to show dominance over other males, not to chew prey! Now since we humans are less aggressive than chimps, our canines shrunk and became less sexually dimorphic.

  • I became a Vegetarian cold turkey two months ago and I feel great, I love it, its not as hard as I thought it would be and in a couple years I am thinking about becoming vegan =)

I even turned my mom into a Veggie, even tohugh she still eats fish, its better than nothing! I, on the other hand don't eat anything that once had a life.

    I loved this video!

    5/5!!

  • Humans are omnivores. You wanna know why all these vegetarians look so dang skinny? They're starving themselves of nutrition they need.

  • Your right.

  • People are fat because they eat to much...srsly..

  • i love being vegetarian. i want to become vegan the problem is my family doesn't buy vegan foods. anyways....i absolutely believe animals have feelings; that they feel love and pain and joy and fear.

  • You do not BELIEVE they have feelings, you KNOW they have feelings!

  • I don't look down on ppl who are vegetarians and I am not sure what a vegan is aside from jokes I have heard about them eating nothing that cast a shadow lol don,t know about that. Anyway not sure being a vegetarian would be for me my brother on the other hand is its has just never bothered me to see animals killed for food and I lead a healthy lifestyle so while I dont understand it I admire your drive to fallow you path also sorry for my horrible typing not expecting a grade lol. 5/5

  • I became a vegetarian cold turkey!

  • I'm not vegan, but I don't eat much dairy .. I avoid it when I can. I tried to become vegan once, but got very ill.

  • Even Chimps which we are suppose to be closely related to will eat meat

A Majority of primates are omnivores and most of the non-omnivore ones are the smallest. The bigger the primate the more meat in it's diet

I am surprised to have a reply so long after I last commented on this video though

  • I want to pet a cow. :)

  • This is complete propaganda, Americans are fat because they DONT EAT A (BALANCED MEAL)!!! THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH EATING MEAT, EAT FREE RANGED MEAT, FRUITS VEGETABLES AND GRAINS, YOU MUST BALANCE YOUR FOOD AS WELL AS YOUR CALORIE INTAKE WITH EXERCISE IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MEAT, IT HAS TO DO WITH THE WAY PEOPLE ABUSE EATING.

  • Vegan is murder, all those animals dieing for nothing, if you don't eat meat then the animals have died for nothing. I eat meat and I will always eat meat.

    People

    Eating

    Tasty

    Animals

  • we can finish off the remaining animals that have been killed, but you do not have to keep breeding them, smart one!

  • Despite Obama, you did well.

  • Man, here I was hoping for some actual tips on becoming a vegetarian. Like ways to reduce cravings for meat, or at least something.

But instead I got some "VEGETARIANS ARE HEALTIER, ANIMALS ARE CUTE, HURR DURR."

I'm seriously considering quitting my vegetarian diet because I don't want to be grouped in with annoying pricks like these.

  • You don't need to become vegetarian, does a lion care how cute its meal is when it is eating??? does a coyote care how cute a cat is when it needs to eat? THIS IS LIFE!!!!! Eat meat if you want to but make sure you balance your meat with fruits and vegetables and grains, dont just make a meal of proteins and carbohydrates that is the problem with most Americans and their obesity.

  • Of course I don't NEED to become a vegetarian. I simply want to. I understand the food chain perfectly well, and I encourage that most people eat meat as humans are naturally omnivores. My reasons for persuing a vegetarian diet has nothing to do with health, it is simply something that I want to experience.

  • So you equate vegetarianism with quality of life... That is one's primary component or criteria for determining quality of life...?? I think this is a great video about material/junk overconsumption... But I do not believe it genuinely addresses core issues of life quality...

  • I was eating beef jerky while watching this and now I feel all bad!

  • Thanks for sharing this great information.

    Awesome video .

  • Great vid. Thank you

  • Hey! Found you through your Huffington post on Jonathan Safran Foers book! Great video! Thanks for pointing out all the great reasons to adopt a compassionate plant based diet! :)

  • Fantastic vide....Thank you SOOOOO much....I don't eat meat and diary.

  • great video I love it....the best video on vegetarianism I ever seen

  • i went cold turkey, because i realized i was becoming a monster and a theft of lifes joy , i really dont wanna set an example as being a monster

  • how are you being a monster??? it is life, it is the circle of life, tell me the lion who is an ANIMAL, is it a monster because it uses meat to feed its cubs????

  • a circle of harmonious chaotic existence maybe close to a Obreatharians what implicated the lion to eat meat ? a monstrousness act maybe? once lions used to have the abundant environment of all sortsa fruits but thats gone now and we can either realize it now or later in the other realm face to face.. either way a force is used to hurt ownself thus their denial of wholeness powers

  • hahah Lions have ALWAYS EATEN MEAT!!!!! all the way back to prehistoric times!!!!!! hahahaha what are you rambling about?? thus their denial of wholeness powers??

  • Just look at the genetic make up of a lion it is specifically desiged to tear and rip flesh all the way back to its ancestors before humans were even around!

  • accuse me the message through here will never be as i mean,a heck with it a bit...times a elusion created by our moment of belief due to the view of our environment . and how sure can we be lions have always been as they are now? maybe the damage cause to our relationship with them and nature is echoing the option weve created for em and ourselves? creativity develops of O *O meaning all that is currently, and everything you can create with your nonfinite heart* energy

  • HAHHAHAHAHA WOW!!!! you need psychological help there buddy. Half of your sentences dont even relate to one another, for example you are talking about a moment of belief due to the view of our environment. moment of belief means that the belief was only temporary, and what does our environment have to do with our belief? elusion??? you mean illusion? created by who?? so you think the government is brain washing us into thinking lions always ate meat???? hahah like i said you might need help

  • btw if you want to know what lions have always eaten you just take the bone samples of now and bone samples of back then each layer of rock in our planet represents a different age havent you ever heard of carbon dating??

  • evolutions a leap, a shape shift caused by thoughts and ideas? am not certain, i say this with instinct

  • hahaha NO! evolution is not caused by thoughts or ideas, it is a change in the body conditioned by its basic needs for survival, for example; one of the most classics, Darwin's galapagose birds, the birds on one part of the island, where nuts where prevalent, they had developed short tough beaks, the birds where they needed to fish bugs out of trees, they developed long thin beaks. This is nothing more than natures life force adapting to survive

  • but how could the beak warp without itself realizing of its own issue? where ever focus is force flows

  • you dont understand, i think you should just read up on the charles darwin experiments for yourself.

  • thanxs very much gordonthefree17 im just bouncing ideas in a scadoodling way.

your beliefs are created by yourself so to know is to look at how that seed was created and by whom? i do need help from nature, i admit and nature needs my nurturing

  • i went vegeterian cold turkey :)

just randomly one day stopped eating all kinds of meat, including fish/seafood and i haven't touched meat or gelatin or anything like that since.

I've been vegeterian for 2 years now.

    I found it quite easy.

  • I did the same thing about 5 years ago.

I also told my boyfriend if your going to stay with me your not eating it around me, so he became vegetarian also.

I learned how to cook well. Do it right, and have a life time happiness filled with flavor and free from guilt! Vegetarians don't have to eat flavorless crap!

    Grats kimmitalks!

  • While I do believe in not tormenting animals, I also don't believe they are capable of anything more then emotional responses (see a familiar face and get happy or not see one for a while and get sad)

Humans are omnivores, eating meat helps us get all the nutrients and other things we need to live healthier, sure we can get them from plant life, but I'm sure other omnivores (like bears) will have no problem eating me as much as a pile of fruit and nuts (it is how the world works)

  • agreed

  • Great video. If I was as a teacher, I would give it a A+++. My parrots also love the video too.
