No actually I've all ways done the right thing and never caused anyone concern. Even growing up I was an honors student, popular, I went to a top tier university, graduated and became somewhat successful for my age I think.
I am certainly not inferior in anyway shape or form.

Runway mostly, moved on to better things, if you don't intend on doing it for the rest of your life (those ppl were superficial, no way was staying in fashion world), days are pretty much numbered. It was fun while it lasted though. Made a lot of contacts, which is useful as I have my own PR firm now and 3 kids (don't have time to pretend to network at happy hour downtown, nor do I have the patience).

Like I said I'm more mixed than you, got the best of 3 continents going in my gene pool, I think I took about 9 extra pounds since having kids. I'm tall so it doesn't show and I think my face looks better and I have less bones showing (looks better in a bikini, bought my first one 3 years ago, which was awesome!).
About the looks, it depends if they take care of themselves... Of course genes also but mostly diet and lyfestyle. Drugs, alcohol and lack of vitamins will ravage anybody in time.

I do not look like Sade, ppl have said so ( mostly Quebecers & I had long hair at the time) but not in the features. I believe her African background is western African, mine is Abyssian, Middle-Eastern & Mediterranean so the features are very different, so is skin under tone. Mine ranges from yellowish in winter to bronzish in summer, caramel latté not café au lait. And no, handsome is handsome doesn't matter if it's Mom/Dad's features. Men can't look too feminine either.
