  • Cool The V-rex Is A Carnotaurus!!

  • One of the really interesting things about the movie was how the natives on that Island constructed some amazing bridge work. I mean, it's not like they went to M.I.T. to study engineering. And then that one guy who pole-vaulted onto the ship. That would set a few Olympic records!

  • Cool footage. You should send this to the new PREHISTORIC CHANNEL. PREHISTORIC CHANNEL just launched and they are looking for new content.

    Just google PREHISTORIC CHANNEL

  • Skull Island has this awesome, terrifying, ancient and beautiful feel to it.

  • Where do you got the Picture at 3:25 from? Can you please upload it and send an Link to me?

  • i love how the remake had a really dark tone. when you compare this and the original you actually se a huge difference in the tone if the movies. not to say the original wasn't dark. i mean back when the original came out it might have been one of the drakest adventure movies of all time!

  • @survivor127 not really, in my opinion the original is a darker movie compared to the more action oriented, kid friendly kong of 2005, but that said, the environments in these artworks are brilliant.

  • @500krg No to sound like an ass but how was the remake kid friendly? It had flesh eating penis worms, impalement's, and people getting chewed apart by creatures onscreen (from a distance sure but still on screen). Again not trying to sound like an ass.

  • @survivor127 worms/centipedes you mention could have been great but everything in this movie is over the top and lacks that horror/suspense mood the original movie had. take that 1 versus 3 T-rex CGI "kong fu" fight, fun but it can't be taken seriously. imo the humanization of kong and prevailing sentimentality were also a problem in this movie and I thought I was watching PJ's mighty joe young at times. You should understand what I mean when your very video has the feeling I'm talking about.

  • This video is awesome, the way the artworks and music go together is incredible, awesome job!

  • misses you misses i misses ef ef i misses dee misses why misses ef kay die

  • I like this vid, it's quite inspiring just closing your eyes and listening to the sounds, imagining what is going on. Nice job! 5/5

  • 5:36 - Waiting for Lunch.

    LOL! How cool!

  • He he. Cool. Thanks man. Nice sounds by the way. I'd love to use the program and record some sounds from Abe's oddesy (part 1). Some of those tracks were so good. Also, Grim Fendango. Wow.

  • ..."u work for weta??" ^_^ No I simply recorded the sounds from the king kong game with a program called FRAPS!!

  • oh, but where'd u get the pics from :P

  • I also made some screenshots from the movie features ;-)

  • These sounds you have in the background, where are they from? Is it a cd? If so, what's it called please. Thanks

  • i recorded all the sounds and music from the king kong game on pc with a program called FRAPS ;-)

  • I know this island doesn't exist, but almost half of these creatures were never documented in the world of Kong. May I assume that all these creatures lived there and the island is just so mysterious that much of its life is unknown?

P.S: What in the world are those ugly creatures at 6:32? Cross bred Pterosaur/Pteropusmordaxes?

  • @Delta138boss

I love soundtracks from games! There are tons of great music out there. Remember halflife? Abe's Odyssey. etc etc. It goes on.

  • lol 'weta' isnt a company, its a bug the one they drew in this just well supersized

  • yeah it is; Weta Workshop and Weta Digital. They are the names.

  • Great video - nice artwork.

  • how many of the creature pics are from the world of Kong series? I want those books for Christmas.

  • they need a documentry about all of skulls creatures, and not all of that love scene crap between Kong and Ann

  • i think they do it's called "history of skull island" i have seen it before

  • why not visit the Royal Armouries Museum's summer exhibtion in Leeds? Arms and Armour from the Movies: The wonderful world of weta. It features over 200 objects of arms and armour from movies such as The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Chronicles of Narnia, Hellboy, King Kong and The Last Samurai. This is once in lifetime opportunity to see all of these original items on loan from Weta. See the museums website for details. Ends 16 November 2008.

  • I bet the guys at Weta had a blast thinking up all this stuff.

  • Great concept art, where is the music from?

  • i think all the music is from the king kong movie game

  • i wonder if things like 5:23 exist

  • i love this music. it makes me cry.

  • amazing!

Where can I find this to download as my background?

  • sry. I realy dont know where to download the original pictures, cuse most of these pics are screenshots I've made with "PowerDVD"

  • oh well, thanks anyway :)
