Sounds like your experience was an anomaly. My point was that this is supposed to be education, not theology. People want to do hair, not learn a new way of looking at the world. It's creepy. And I stand by my original statement. It is watered down education because they hire from within in many cases. SO, if you only want to know the Paul Mitchell way, then sign up. If you want to know that there are other companies out there and other methods, then find a different school.
I disagree. I am a hairstylist who took that advice "just go to a cheap school, you merely have to pass state board." and found that my education was fairly lackluster. Now you are right, there are phenomenal schools out there that are just local... but in Atlanta PMTS rates up there in education. What I had to do the hard way by taking a job at a high end salon, they learned in school. Are those grads ready to hit the chair after they graduate?NO! But they are better equipped than most.
I would watch this video before signing any contract with Paul Mitchell The School. This terrifying cult leader aspect permeates the entire educational process, watering it all down untilo it's hardly education anymore, but instead becomes "motivational learning". YIKES! Just go to a cheap school, get your license and get a job. Save your cash, people! (Unless you need sunshine blown up your ass every day. Then PMTS is perfect for you...)
