  • This is a Turbine Thrush (Engine type is a Walter).

  • You are correct. Aircraft is a 1978 model Ayres S2R-600 Thrush. Originally equipped with a P&W R-1340, it is now powered by a Walthers M601 turboprop done by Johnson Conversions.

  • I do not know my civil aircraft that well, so looking at the two in a book I can see why I was confused.

  • I love watching all types of aircraft and even crop dusting too. I am glad to see I am not the only person alive that stops my vehicle and watches crop dusters. : )
