the number without a plus sign means u shoot over par, if u have the plus sign there it makes a the diference that means u shoot under

I'm a college golfer and my handicap is +2.8. That means that one out of three rounds I should shoot about three under. According to golf digest, TW handicap is +8. That means he will shoot eight under once every three rounds. Well that depends on the course rating and slope but that's a whole another issue.

no! -12 means u play 12 over so a 84 on a par 72 course.

+12 means u play 12 under for handicap.

you idiot its the other way around, -12 means 12 UNDER PAR, +12 means 12 over par (84). You see in the major tournements with TW's scorecard on the screen with -13, LOL i dont think tiger would get 85 itd be 59.

you say your a 12 hndcp and your age is 20, juniors stop at 17 anyway so they do not want a run for their money from you. Also, your net score does not count here, stay in the UK and annoy your club members with your 12 hndcp. Nice swing, guess its the mental game that keeps you in that iffy handicap range

Im now of 10. I dropped 8 shots in 2 months, won 4 comps, one of which a 36hole comp, and now in my club champ this week. Soo much for the absue! jsut watch this space ;) Thanks for the civil answer though willbotya

the mental game makes or breaks ur game i think. thats the hardest part of golf

Oh man i couldn't agree with you more. I shoot 90-92. If i can just get my driver to work i could be 85-80. The mental part IS the hardest.

Ya fo sho. i shoot on average about an 84, but my best is a 76. i have worked on the mental part a lot and that has helped my score a lot. One thing of advice would be to not get mad after a bad shot/hole. i know that is very hard but it helps!! also, one thing i noticed is when im doing good, one bad shot doesnt matter. but, when im having trouble, if the shot isnt perfect it sux. WHICH IS NOT TRUE. those r some things that every golfer needs to work on
