Rockets DO go thru portals, it's just that the steering is based on your aim, so it's wonky.

Say the < is you pointing the portal gun in that direction and () are portals. Once the missile exits the portal, it gets confused because you're pointing the launcher at the first (in) portal, not what you see through the portal, and imediately changes direction. It would try to go in circles, but crash into the edge of the portal (the wall it's on) before creating such a loop.

You can't kill GLaDOS with any weapons. All they do is dislodge the spheres to be deposited in the incineration receptacle.

There are videos that involved dragging a turret far enough that you can use it to do this long before the purple sphere drops.

It works in Half Life 2 - Episode 1, but not Portal. You CAN however use the console command fire_energy_ball to shoot an energy "pellet" that is valid for all energy-ball related puzzles. They can kill you so be careful. Juts bind it to a keyboard key you're not using.

You're awful at that even in firstperson... On the platforms, you don't need to shoot two portals every time, just make sure the portal you shoot is different from the one underneath you.

And also the level you have the graphics on.

Mine are on high, so it has the effects, etc.

I think if you have Low it will have no effects, and if you have medium it will have effects but less.

I'm not sure what it has to do with though, like shading and stuff.

1. Menu > Options > Graphics > Advanced 2. Hm... My computer was pretty old. And ran Portal with 16 FPS or so on high. Main things: 512 Ram PixelShader 2.0 Radeon 9550 The computer I had built recently though is much better. And runs Portal on High at 60fps 2 Gigs ram. Pixel Shader 3.0 And a Duo Core, but the actual model number I can't remember, I'll check later.

Impulse: Type the command in then it will automatically give you all the weapons the engine is using (HL2 & Portal)

Just use the numbers or scroll to get 'em...

Press N and noclip will enable then use W to fly forward and the mouse for everything else.
