Highly developed skill level, but this was little more than a patchwork of different techniques (way too much t-bar, btw) that didn't really express anything the listener could latch on to.

my initial reaction is very good technique, but find your own style... and that's coming from a guy that worships Steve Vai. Also the first phrase you hit ends on a dissonant major 6 which is just a strange opener you know, which is fine if your miles davis but...... great vid anway man, far better than mine. good luck

Every lick is from Vai. There is no flow to the melody, it seems like all of these quasi-random (I say that so because they are all goddamn lydian and dorian) licks have been glued together.. Great Vai tone. For those who don't agree with me, I admit he is technically superior than me. Yeah, who am I anyway to criticize him, right? :)

Quite different and personally Im in two minds about it. Its quite unique and very vai-like as others have said, but im not entirly sure its applicable to that backing track at times. Some really good licks in there but there is hardly any room to breathe.
