  • il sont trop fort en chin

  • In addition to Peters, two other coaches named in the Register’s investigation have either been dismissed or terminated this month. Doug Boger, who was already banned by USAG after at least a dozen former gymnasts at a Pasadena gym accused him of physical and sexual abuse, was released by ArtSports World gym in Colorado Springs. Michael Zapp, a convicted sex offender who owned the ArtSports World gym and hired and defended Boger, resigned and agreed to sell the gym.

  • The 1996 book “Little Girls in Pretty Boxes” — a look inside the training of female gymnasts and figure skaters — also mentioned Peters, though not for any sexual abuse issues. Instead, he was one of many coaches obsessed with girls’ weight, one of the reasons experts and competitors say eating disorders are endemic in gymnastics.

  • A second former SCATS gymnast told the Register that Peters had sexual intercourse with her when she was 18. The woman said she had earlier been sexually abused by her father, abuse that Peters was aware of, she said. Linda McNamara, a former SCATS assistant director who shared an office with Peters, also told the Register that Peters confessed to her in the early 1990s to having sex with Yamashiro, the second former SCATS gymnast and a third teenage gymnast.

  • Doe Yamashiro, a former U.S. national team and SCATS member, told the Register that Peters began fondling her in 1986, when she was 16, and had sexual intercourse with her when she was 17.

  • Well, now more than a dozen former U.S. gymnasts are coming forward to tell shocking stories of physical and sexual abuse by coaches they had come to depend on. Those gymnasts complained that USAG officials have not done enough to confront and investigate abuse and remove coaches found to have engaged in it.

  • As bad as the Karolyis are, they're actually a step up from their predecessor, U.S. National/Olympic Coach Don Peters. When Jennifer Sey hinted that Peters had a sexual relationship with a young gymnast in her 2008 book "Chalked Up," many U.S. fans didn't believe her and dismissed her as a liar.

  • The only country with known child abusers, the Karolyis, running their national gymnastics program is the US. If Americans are really that concerned about child abuse, why the f*ck are the Karolyis still there???

  • The last two top national U.S. coaches have been Don Peters, a child molester, and Bela Karolyi, a child abuser. As far as I know, none of the national Chinese coaches have ever hurt kids. But yeah, we can just keep pointing fingers at others and naively pretend there's nothing wrong in the U.S. while our kids are being screwed.

  • Don't know about you people, but I would much rather train hard everyday until my hands bleed than to get sexually molested by a pedo U.S. coach.

  • In addition to Peters, two other coaches named in the Register's investigation have either been dismissed or terminated this month. • Since The Register began its investigation, all mention of Peters has been removed from the SCATS website. He is in the process of relocating from Orange County to Western Pennsylvania, where he grew up, according to people involved in the USA Gymnastics investigation.

  • Don Peters, who guided the U.S. women to record-breaking success at the 1984 Olympic Games, has resigned his membership with USA Gymnastics and his coaching and director positions at SCATS, the Huntington Beach club he built into a global superpower, the Orange County Register has learned. Peters was a subject of an Orange County Register series that detailed allegations that renowned gymnastics coaches had sexually abused young female gymnasts in the 1980s.

  • theres absolutey no time in anyone trying to talk sense into the people defending this video. they are obviously mentally unstable, obsessive individuals who are completely unfit to parent. if any of them were the actual parents of these children- at least in MY country..you would be standing before a judge about to lose custody PERMANENTLY. Any sports medicine expert..would explain why this is unnacceptable on many levels as well.

  • @jayabhaen These girls aren't training just for the fun of the sport, they strive to train potentials for the country's team, i'm sorry you haven't been able to train at such a competitive level but do understand gymnastics is one of most physically demanding intense stretching and conditioning at a young age just means all they have to do less work in the long run to sustain that flexibility. Russians do the same thing.

  • @hollisterluver1308 omg, u kno wat- stop trying to humanize urself and make me look like less of a competitor- if you were anyone important with any authority to speak on u wud not have that kind of attitude, furthermore..u already ruined ur chances of me considering you to be a rational thinker. I dont know if your retarded or wat but these are toddlers im talking about- thumb sucking three year olds..im not talking about the 6+ full grown "kids" .

  • @jayabhaen regardless of what you have contributed to our poverty population, you have no right to call these people abusive coaches because some of them have trained overseas in other countries, and to call your coach #2 in Russia is highly opinionated, there is no competition in coaching, you Americans need to stop thinking that if your coach is better you're gonna succeed. success is in your own hands, your coach can't do anything to make you successful.

  • @hollisterluver1308 they are terrified, they r too little to understand about a future, career and national pride..its not within brain capacity at that age!- ok stick em in a sweat shop if it brings china some glory! u have no idea how hard i trained, what i have accomplished or even who i am for that matter. Obviously you cant read that i trained under the #2 coach in russia. Do you even know about sports medicine, healthy training,..do u kno anything at all? not listening to ur crap nonsense

  • @jayabhaen you trained hard? you won at National level? didn't see you on the Olympic teams, didn't see you bring back a gold medal for your country. China's teaching style is just different from what you're use to, i was pushed this hard as a child from 4 to 10 don't think you trained with some coach that claims to be the best in Russia, it doesn't matter how good your coach is, it only matters how much effort you put in to use that to your advantage

  • @hollisterluver1308 won junior national all around, with a score above 197. + two individual event titles at the same championship competition, before deciding not to continue due to numerous hip problems. yes, infact i trained so hard that at 14, had the hip issues of an 80 yr old. do me a favor and stop fishing for hints. honestly, you have no idea what your talking about, and im not comfortable with how personal your getting with me. back off. i doubt u have any such achievements to comment.

  • @jayabhaen no one is getting personal with you, you just decide to tell the world how great your achievements are when your level of success is way different from what these girls can potentially do. from reading your other comments aznmelody27 also agree with me, just because our culture is different doesn't mean our children are being abused, your can take your issues and problems and bury them with all your other achievements along with your ego, these girls don't even need your pity

  • @jayabhaen i think you're here to gloat about the opportunities you have received and doing less to actually prove that you really feel bad for these kids, since you had sports medicine and a oh so fabulous coach and a Bmw, these children can't afford to put food on the table, these gyms house these children till they can go out and use the skills they have learned to make money to support themselves.

  • @hollisterluver1308 u wud think that since ur an idiot. you attacked my credibility before i mentioned my achievements. YOU BROUGHT IT UP. YOU ASKED ME . you dont know the first thing about those children or wat their situations are. You dont even know the name of the gym govt owned or private, or if it was even more than one gym shown, much less which city your looking at. stop speculating. would you back off, honestly..WAT IS IT WITH YOU??? WERE DONE HERE.

  • Comment removed

  • @hollisterluver1308 here you go ding dong. i have a life and work to get to. have a blast arguing with yourself. for what its worth, im a human..and a damn good one at that. whatever you are..goodluck with that.stop cutting andpasting random info about gyms in china from the web.

  • @jayabhaen advice for your organizations, actually find out what you can do to help them rather than just throwing money in their faces and leaving, this is a video that has been passed around from gym to gym in china where i actually spend my summer teaching these young kids math and science, i have not been to this gym but i sure know more than you who is about a million miles a way and have done nothing to help but accuse the people who have housed homeless children for years.

  • @jayabhaen i don't care who you are because you haven't worked to the point to bring it to my attention who you are, if Nastia Liukin gymnast from the USA national team telling me this was child abuse then i would be more convinced because she is Olympic material and she knows how intense training needs to be. if you have yet to figure out that these children train for a purpose whether its for a national team or to learn the skills good enough to support themselves financial wise.don't comment

  • @jayabhaen first of all....mind your language, like you said...discussion. no need to throw swear words around. second of all...wth? i do feel sorry for these kids, i can see that they are unhappy, i want to hug them and tell them it's going to be okay. but that's not going to help them get into the national team. that's not going to help them understand that this world is one hell of a harsh place. i'm not blinded by national pride, i just know how harsh it is to live in such a place.

  • @jayabhaen you've asked enough natives...but where were you brought up? in a nice place where the competition is less harsh, where everyone is more or less equal. life is different for these children. i believe that these children know more about this harsh world than either of us. poorest children playing happily. yet, do they have sufficient means to survive? i played happily when i was young, but my family was in a financial crisis. Children are innocent of all the problems in the world.

  • @aznmelody27 in a place where was no opportunity and u were lucky if u got your fathers crappy job when he died, where theres lot of corruption and exploitation of children, but a few moral people would sell their organs to keep their children from desperate situations, pain, hard labor etc. i was lucky enough that i was born on U.S. soil..and eventually did have a different life- but not without its ups and downs.i think if we dont examine how children r treated, anything can happen, anything.

  • @jayabhaen i don't recall cursing you? yet you curse me and tell me that karma is going to come back and bite me. well...hopefully it does. If you feel this strongly about the children suffering. do something. go donate money so that they can have better facilities, so that they can have decent living standards. pay for their coach. do something. no one is going to see your comments and then act upon them. these adults aren't misbehaving. they just want their children to mature quickly.

  • @aznmelody27 I didnt read all your comments b cuz it seemed the argument was getting out of control. i read your last 2, and yes im guilty of cursing you, which doesnt speak well of me, but i dont have tolerance when it comes to things like this. i am very emotional about it and i do become a different person. im glad to see u calmed down, and tho i dont agree w all ur opinions..i am just happy to see that ur not really as hard hearted as you seemed at first. i dont want to argue.

  • @aznmelody27 and yes, i began speaking to some colleagues of mine to see if there is any opportunity for humanitarian involvement in this capacity. As far as ive heard theres lots of interest- especially amongst chinese americans, to monitor the training practices and improve safety measures, but interference by outsiders isnt tolerated.most of these centers wont even allow cameras to film inside. I was told that this was one of the "milder" videos. my organization mostly deals with disasters...

  • many parents have no clue what is going on behind the scenes. they blindly entrust their youngsters to coaches for yrs on end in hopes of producing champions. coaches are under a lot of pressure. confessing to not allowing emotional attachment. There r exteme problems. huge amounts of excercise and restricted diets push little bodies beyond what r meant 2 do. emotional/physical abuse, but worse, many fall by the wayside, injured before they see competiton- labelled as failures by 10,12, or 14.

  • @jayabhaen its these countless dozens who have no future. not all of them are actually attending school, many of them arent completing their educations at all, and training instead. the fact that so many are washed up by 16 due to rough training at a young age leaves them not only unfit for labor jobs, but also lacking the education to compete for other careers in the job market. there are so many health issues not brought to light. msg me and i will tell you personally, its a little graphic.

  • definition of child abuse: the physical or emotional or sexual mistreatment of children.

just because this looks like the children are physically pushed to the limits and working hard for success, doesn't necessarily make child abuse the correct term to use for their training and their coaches effort to perfect their skills

  • @jayabhaen im sorry if you've haven't worked for success but i grew up in a gymnastics facility way worse than this video is showing, i rather cry and learn to be well behaved and disciplined than cry and become some spoiled brat. Just because their teaching style and traditions are different from what you're use to seeing doesn't mean you can just be narrow minded about the things you see

  • @hollisterluver1308 if thats how you grew up u had a shitty ass childhood sucks for you. im not a spoiled brat nor have i ever been. as soon as i was old enough to work i paid my own coach who was the #2 coach in russia at the time. I also was successful enough to purchase a bmw by the time i was 16 , through my blood sweat and tears, and even saved my parents house. But, i was old enough to want to work hard in a gym. i wasnt a fucking 3 yr old toddler. u sound like a serious idiot, u must b.

  • @jayabhaen did you not see the three year olds bloody hands?????? are you effing INSANE. c'mon, u cant be that much of a moron. i guess you probably think nothing about that little two yr old who recently got run down in china and bled out in front of dozens of onlookers who did nothing. shame of the entire world- lack of compassion.are you chinese or something, then ur posts wud make sense. are you even human? do you have children..b cuz..i cant see my child injured and look d other way.

  • @jayabhaen please keep your racist comments to yourself! wthell does "are you chinese or something, then ur posts wud make sense" meann?? just because you were trained differently and don't understand the chinese culture and the competition there it doesn't mean you can trash talk it. I'm and australian born chinese. My parents are hard on me, because they want me to succeed. This looks painful and sad, but this is when they are taught that the world is tough!

  • @jayabhaen it's a work hard and play hard life. It looks harsh, but think of all the people that are out there competing for that spot. If you don't beat them, then you lose. How can you ensure that you will beat them? to train your frigging ass off just to get that chance. not everyone is as lucky as you. Not everyone has all that money. Life in china is bloody hard as, and everything is costing them more than they earn. These parents are spending all their money on their children's training.

  • @aznmelody27 i dont care what u say! i stand by my belief! i undertsand a hard life..my origin is also asian.. what i am saying is that this is being done improperly due to the severe strain on these children, i can see the sadness and heartbreak in their eyes as well as the fear. if thats okay with you then fine.. deal with your own karma..im not responsable for you. but damn you for cursing me because i speak out for someone too little to say "pls im in pain..i dont want anymore!!"

  • if you think i havent seen a hard village life then think again, part of the disease is believeing that theese children are better off with a bloody metal, than at home helping their parents tend the fields or becoming civil servants. right now in china there is a plethora of employment more than elsewhere in the world- but the fear of achievement is what drives parents to these extremes. this is a pure lack of knowledge. ive seen the poorest children playing happiuly who cant stop smiling...

  • @jayabhaen don't even go there...... you do not know poverty in china you DO NOT talk about this because you have not been through these conditions, do you honestly think the parents are stupid enough to make their childhood happy and joyful and have them not learn any type of skill to fend for themselves in the future, they are poor and they know it, they can't afford education in a public school, Rhythmic gymnastics, gymnastics and acrobatic sports and a few others are their only choices.

  • @hollisterluver1308 WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TELLING ME WHAT I KNOW AND WHAT I DONT. IM RIGHT HERE....IVE BEEN TO CHINA 3 TIMES SINCE IVE BEEN IN JAPAN, MY ORGANIZATION WORKS WITH THE POOR AND DISASTER STRUCK POPULATION. PUBLIC SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT CHINA ARE FREEEEEE!! UR A MORON OMG!! The peoples republic of china compulsory education law took effect in 1986 guranteeing children a free nine years education: six of primary and three of secondary, education is free for families with finacial difficulty

  • @jayabhaen your a dumbass to think that when you're talking to a girl from a family of three generations who don't have access to school, i'm the first generation to finish elementary school and move on to college. your even more of a DUMASS to think you can tell me what my country offers and doesn't offer, you've been to china three timees and you think you know it all huh? do you think the view from your 5 star hotel is a correct speculation of my country? education is NOT free in china.

  • @hollisterluver1308 coming from someone whos screen name is hollister lover u wanna tell me about being poor and what i know about it? what breed of ignorant are you..if your family didnt attend school after 1986, then your pedigree is an ignorant one- they also raised a cold hearted, argumentative disrespectful, incompassionate person, who i firmly believe to be extremely dishonest/morally flawed. you have taken up enough of my time. go and learn something about chinese education it is FREE.

  • @jayabhaen Hollister California is the place i stayed while i'm in the states, before you start placing names on me i would like to know what kind of arrogant person are you, someone who says your organizations are to help people in disasters? what kind of BS is that? bottom line is you have not seen poverty china you have not done yourself any good with your life but invest in a sport that only you can benefit from, and after you have retire from it point fingers at other potentials.

  • @jayabhaen My parents raised me to fend for myself from people who do nothing but criticize, you on the other hand have mommy and daddy to be by your side in this damn country, my parents are still in China while i fight and support myself in California. Cold hearted? do you think telling the world about how much you take pity for these children over the internet makes you a saint? dishonest? hmm... 2nd best coach in Russia? what did the best coach die on the way over here?

  • MOST chinese kids dont start school until 7, except for in the capital where they are allowed to start at 6- but here u see toddlers BLEEDING in a gym as soon as they are old enough to potty on their own, and you cant see the wrongness in this? you think this is an okay trade for a medal, trophy, title?? u know what, championship isnt in medals..and titles. championship is in character.. you need to just take a good look at yourself and your standards of excellence- which u dnt seem to have..

  • @jayabhaen these kids are way more mature than you can ever dream of, you are under the circumstance when you can compete for a title but also enjoy it, i agree championship is in character, but you can't place those standards on children who compete thinking how much money will this bring home to their family and worrying if they are wiped out of competition they may never have a chance to bring any money home.

  • @jayabhaen you say you have an organization who helps with the disaster struck population? 2009 Sezchuan province had a earthquake on May 12th at 2:35 in the afternoon, i was present in the earthquake, i have a certification as a Nurse practitioner,i have helped save numerous lives of children and adults who were dug out of the rubbles, if you claim you have donated money bless your soul but i think i can say i'm closer to the poverty population than you.

  • @aznmelody27 they are poor and yet happier than we are in our electric cars with our ipads and iphones and gadgets that we are so accustomed to, we feel that it quantifies our worth??? and this is the rhetoric that is spread throughout asia..poisioning the middle class peoples..who are so desperate to attain that status not only of comfortability but of honor..- the same honor that when the rest of the world learns how its being aquired turns to absolute shock and shame and disgust u defend dis?

  • @jayabhaen so please don't trash talk something you are not familiar with. It's great that you have your own opinion, and nice that you want to stand up for these kids. But please do it in a more constructive way instead. Having a stupid commenting fight on one youtube video isn't going to help any of those kids.

  • @aznmelody27 not all chinese are ignorant, and not all are emotionally detached. however, as it stands a great majority do fall into such a category when it come to emotional intelligence. I currently reside in Japan,Nagasaki prefectrure. having many friends(chinese, japanese, korean) i am told that, in life, one should detach themselves emotionally from the suffering of others- if that person wishes to self preserve. In my perspective, any human suffering is not a dog, to be ignored..but a human

  • @aznmelody27 with feelings and rights, just as i am. If this discussion is nothing more than trash talk or racism to you than feel free to count yourself with that cold majority and God have mercy on you. however, for myself, in the face of blind criticism, and prejudice..and as a defender of the defensless..i will speak out, regardless of what insults..and criticisms you or any other wish to throw my way.. or however you choose to defend this type of misbehavior of adults. thats on your karma..

  • @aznmelody27 actually, i had an opinion- thats the whole point of the little box that is put there for you to type in, and thats what youtube is for..its not just a video viewing site- its a video commenting forum. the fact that you ruled that out...kind of makes me wonder about your thought process, and reasoning ability. Especially while you sit criticising me with your own comments. Dont get it. WATEVER. im familiar alright. ive asked enough natives that havent grown up in foreign countries.

  • @aznmelody27 also, i dont know what kind of person you are but if this..."Discussion" isnt any more than a stupid commenting fight to you.. if you cant see past that- and if you cant read the pain and sadness and fear in a childs eyes, it doesnt hit SOME FUCKING CHORD "somehwere" in your heart...to see a babys blood being shed for something materialistic..then...i suppose your just a lost cause. you never know who i might help. you have no right to say..dont be blinded by national pride..think!

  • also, no matter how hard parents want you to succeed.. they are a childs only defense against selfish motives..the selfish cold world, lack of compassion..ugliness, shame, and agenda of the rest of the world... these things are not as important as protecting the young child. the older child can train hard if they can stand.. not the very young only learning to use the bathroom on their own. this makes me want to throw up..this world is getting more callus every day.. i tell you honestly. wake up

  • @jayabhaen oh good for you! and by the way Russian coaches are ten times as hard as these coaches, so to claim that you've worked with a Russian coach you should understand that training like this is normal at a competitive level, age doesn't matter. These toddlers are recruited at a young age to establish basics and fundamentals after they develop to a certain level other teams from the nation pick them to train at a different gym, what you see in the video is the new members being trained.

  • @hollisterluver1308 my coach..was better than any coach you could ever hope to have train you, let alone afford. she wasnt a babysitter, and only trained those of us who had been winning competitions and performing at a high level of excellence- but i'll tell you right now that she was nothing like these third world desperate slave drivers. she had a PHD. and was qualified to lead . your a mental retard, obviously jealous- i have absolutely nothing to prove to you. only a loser would admire this

  • You are showing their hands. I know gymnastics is very hard and painful but have you ever seen a ballerina's feet? Their pointe shoes? Their training?

  • It was hard watching this, I flinched.

But I realised that winners make sacrifices. This is why they've come the best in the world.

  • Aïe aïe aïe , ils sont fous ces gens !: -O

  • L'assouplissement n'est pas une torture!! je suis contorsioniste je sais de quoi je parle!! en plus c'est une nessicité!

  • Look, whoever made this video, you don't know anything about gymnastics ... I am a gymnast and honestly, you need to learn a bit more about this sport before criticising it !! Dumbass

  • ayyy!!!!

  • i like ..

  • This is the Olympics, nothing easy. A road with less obstacles and challenges is a road not worth traveling. There are children dieing from starvation around the world, child labour taking places in dangerous & poor conditions, children caught fighting in conflicts and wars etc. that merit more attention and changes than a common disciplinary training for an international sport everyone everywhere recognizes.

  • whats the name of thee last song, not the last but the one before ??

  • @MrrjordiT i think seven nation army

  • i agree with BMW345is and JerkinSkittles because i'm in rhythmic gymnastics and we do alot of hard stuff but i'm fron USA but my coach pays a ballet teacher and a chiropractor to come to our gym and we do a whole lot of things that hurt so if you want to be good at something don't complain no pain no gain. I wish i had that kind of training so i can be really good and stop getting 11th place i want to get 1st sometimes well i got first 1 time but i want more 1st places.

  • it is real hard training but this is why their the best

  • those kids are crying O_O

  • also have the things theyd o i could never do, i wish i could do some of the stuff they do

  • Maybe some of you are forgetting that these are children, they DIDN't CHOOSE to train hard or to suffer. Who has the right to decide that they should train and suffer, maybe they don't want to become the best but just play like any other child. THIS IS CHILD ABUSE, the worst.

  • The Chinese gymnasts have a maturity to handle the pressure in my skills that impress me personally.

We are accustomed to children never excel in anything and therefore never work so hard for something and it seems monstrous. That's another culture, their own parents encourage them to be the best training and support.

Knowing that you are the best in the world I think it's a feeling and an unforgettable and something that is lifelong. (?)

Sorry, do not speak English xD

  • @TheTrishia maybe this kind of suffering is better than working on a farm everyday carrying twice or three times their weight across miles and miles of dangerous roads, maybe "playing like other kids isn't an option"

  • @TheTrishia Not all children in china were born to have say in their future, lack of education can lead to bad choices for their future. since some of them don't have enough money to go to public schools as a fully enrolled student they do this instead to make money for themselves and possibly their family

  • Mind you all that are complaining about this, gymnastics is the most physically demanding sport out there. You go try to land a back handspring on a beam FOUR INCHES wide, or stick a really hard landing. Gymnastics REQUIRES this kind of training to even have a chance at being good. In America, they don't give this kind of training, and that's why they always fall to 2nd or 3rd place to the Russians or the Chinese, it's because the others train as hard as they can to be the absolute best.

  • @JerkinSkittles gymnastics the most phisycal.. lol try rockclimbing

  • They don't coddle their kids when they do sports or when they learn in other countries. That's why they constantly produce the best, and when they start on their own, they know exactly what to do to be in tip top shape. This is not child abuse at all. It's just good, hard training, and now that I'm done with gymnastics, I wish I was trained like that, even if I would cry, because that would make me physically and emotionally stronger....Those kids are gonna grow up to be the best someday.

  • it's painful but it's worth it! look at them, after all this hard training they may go on to win olympic medals or sth; their hard work pays off.

  • wow, how hard?

  • i cant imagine being one of them. im in the gym 25 hours a week....thats more than enough

  • i always knew i was not a good gymnast but after watching this IM CRAP!

  • This is what it takes to be the BEST. So everyone shut the fuck up. At the end of the day they'll feel as though they accomplished something. >:)

  • @Dibbles2010 Maybe these children don't have parents, these trainers have done this all their live they know what their doing.

  • are u kidding me .... the girl in the pin shirt is on diapers!

  • This kids might seem young to the blind eye. I don't do gymnastic, but i have a purple belt in jujitsu . I can tell you that training hard is training hard no matter what country are what sport you are in. Basketball = doing suicides drills for hours even after you through up. Jujitsu = round Robbins after blood is spilled.Wrestling = cutting weight for a match by staying in a wet sauna on a bike with a body bag on. Those who criticize this video haven't trained one hard day in their life.

  • @5656megan no it is the chalk that was removed by their hands.

  • WTF how much stupid someone must be to say that that is child abuse that is not abuse at all all those kids have strong will power that why they train that hard to achive they perposes (to be the best of the best taht why china and russia have the most medals in olympic beacuse that train that hard from the young ages

  • wow that so hard.... not

  • mai il aime faire sa c'est leur passion la gymnastique

  • This is TORTURE!They should be training the children, not killing them...

  • @biggestfanofmj1 Children tend to cry when their young.... if i step on your feet when you're a kid compared to now will your reactions be the same? if you cry as a kid when i step on your feet is that child abuse? if gymnasts don't start intense training at a young age it harder for them to succeed later.

  • @hollisterluver1308 look, one thing is stepping feet, and another completely different thing to be training those little kids like that. Look at what they are doing to those kids! To get flexibility, yo have to work slowly, so you don't get injured, and it's pretty obvious that they got really injured from what they did in this video. If you think that the bloody hands of that poor little girl in the video is not bad for her, then I don't know what is wrong with you. (no offense)

  • @biggestfanofmj1 ok before you say these kids are seriously injured go look at the documentary of the whole thing, they go to school everyday and they turn out fine, i'm no way in favor of this type of training its just that im so tired of people calling it abuse, i grew up in one of these training gyms, its really NOT that bad, understand that this is a video that could be put together of them throughout the week, i'm not saying bleeding is good, they do offer gloves for the toddlers

  • @hollisterluver1308 i'm not trying to offend gymnastics, i have done gymnastics and it's really cool, and yes it hurts, but what i really mean is that those are just little kids and the coaches should be training them in a way that they don't suffer that much. I'm just saying my opinion, i think that that type of training is too intense for those kids, maybe you think different, and there is nothing wrong with that.

  • @biggestfanofmj1 Chinese culture is just different than most countries, believe that nailing in the technique and flexibility at a young age so they won't have to work in the long run, the pros and cons to that is if I get hurt and i can't practice for half a month or so then i don't have to worry about losing my flexibility or muscle memory (etc) but the really BAD thing is that my muscles and hamstrings are very stretched out as in i may develop hip or muscle problems.

  • @hollisterluver1308 that is why i'm saying that these training is too intense for those kids, if they get hurt, they don't lose their flexibility, but they can have a bad problem in their muscles, and of course they wouldn't want that, obviously because they had to pass through A LOT to get that amount of flexibility.

  • @biggestfanofmj1 but do realize this is only selective shooting because not all gyms are like this, in the other documentary video it specified that they were training for the Olympics, even thought this is hard training, think about if they let it easy for the kids and just do happy fun gym class everyday then the audience of the Olympics would complain that the Chinese team is not good enough and not worthy to be in this sport

  • @hollisterluver1308 well ,i do recognize that in that case you are right, they wouldn't achieve anything if they trained the easy way where they don't really get to be that flexible for the Olympics. I should have recognized that since before, sorry for all this.

  • @biggestfanofmj1 I'm really not trying to argue and say that i'm right and training like this should be passed on, i'm just trying to inform people who DON'T do gymnastics and think this is child abuse that this isn't really that bad considering this is a Olympic training session, i think every country has a brutal training gym for their gymnastics team, not just china. i'm glad you did gymnastics and actually understand as oppose to those people who just say what they think :)

  • @hollisterluver1308 yeah, in fact, when i was in gymnastics, i never passed through this type of training, i guess they were teaching me gymnastics in the easy way, that is a reason of why i think i didn't have all the flexibility i wanted to have, now i'm not in gymnastics, but if i were to pass through this type of training, i would get the flexibility i've always dreamed to have.

  • @biggestfanofmj1 You probably had more strength than flexibility which is better because if your limp and flexible it just looks worse :/

  • @hollisterluver1308 yeah, but i would have liked to go through these type of training, because when i did gymnastics, i was waiting and waiting to see the results of flexibility, and i didn't even get to do a complete split. I was disappointed, but through these type of training i would be able to do even more than just a split.

  • @biggestfanofmj1 Lolz flexibility can be gained at any age you if really try hard! dont give up~!

  • @hollisterluver1308 i'll try my best, i'll take your advice, i won't give up :)

  • Can someone PLEASE translate into English????!!!!

  • @cheekyloas belive me my friend that realy want this that why they are in pain and they are not stoping because they want to be the best and they have realy strong will to achive that

the fact that they are chinise has nothing to do with abuse every good coach would push his students to reach they limit and i am realy sorry because u are thinking like that

  • They work hard for what they have

  • No pain no gain. It's not only china...all of asia is like this, that's how they beat other countries

  • this is how kids learn 2 be independent & know how 2 do stuff not the stupid coddeling u get nowadays like in america or england were if ur child is being naughty and u hit them they call in the ploice thats just mad. hw do kids no dicipline that way? they dont! im not cruel but i do believe that kids should learn hw to care 4 themselves get an early start in life & not turn everyone around on there toes and behave like brats as so many do these days

  • fajne

  • If anyone has ever seen any kung-fu movie this should not be shocking to them. It's the same type of training. This is the way they train for everything. Hard no excuses.

S'il ne réussisse pas leur enchainement ils se font frapper.. La chine, ce n'est pas un pays. Et les chinois, ce ne sont pas des humains, ce sont des chinois.. Au niveau physique mais surtout morale.

  • and great video ;)

  • 1:50 boy or girl? haha

  • iv read most of these comments abt child abuse... and un fair treatment... use are talking kak... this is called hard training.. go check the russians out.. they work even harder... they are the best becuase they have been groomed to train hard... for you guys that dnt train as hard.. knw theres 4 year olds better than you.. what il do is stop complianing writing shit on youtube and start training.. an those that dont do sport shut the fuck up...

  • @syitsu u are tolking like that becdause u dont have strong will to be the best and i am sure that those trainers in the video are olympic champions check videos below and with that way of traing they are showing to all those little athlets the right atitude that an athlet must have ( i mean if u wanna be the best u must try more thatn usual if u wanna be the best u must try with 200% of ur powers and that is how they transmite the love and passion to that kids to love what they do)

  • @syitsu No doubt. Stage moms are nuts. My mother entered a pageant as a kid and saw some sights. Kids going bald and stuff. My guess is the people advocating torture methods haven't done so well themselves. These nut jobs think everything is about some sadistic or masochistic attitude.

  • @BMW345is I have been trained hard and well in martial arts and all my training have let me realize many things in life that there's love, friendship, family, company, being friendly to each other respecting one another not judging them and that you enjoy life there's already enough suffering in every area of life. I know the sportsmentality but what good is it if you can't enjoy what your doing. Everyone in the world wants to be excepted and be loved
