Type in Zyzzyx Road and you'll find the article that explains why it only grossed 30 dollars. The director never wanted a theatrical release, SAG forced him to release the film theatrically. The plan was to fulfill the obligation to SAG and then distribute the film for foreign and American distribution. So it ran one time per day in one theater in Dallas for a week.

Guys believe it or not ( and yes the movie stinks and all) the low grossing amount was a result of a failed strategy by the producers to show the movie internationally first before showing it in the US..they were forced to show it because of a law, but they intentionally did not promote it..they thought it would be a huge success after the international promotion, well it failed and was never shown again in the states...but in all fairness, any movie would do better that $30 we are all addicted
