Well, those were very nice crescent kicks, but they were not reverse turning kicks. The only thing that makes the kicks different is the angle of the foot. If the foot is perpendicular to the target, it is a reverse turning kick. (at least in International Taekwondo.) At a certain height, reverse turning kicks -become- crescent kicks because your foot just plain can't turn anymore. But this is a great way to practice both!
I do Taekwondo( I'm a yellow belt, I've been training for nearly a year) and to tell you the truth most of the kicks are hard to do especially the reverse techniques. Reverse turning kick especially because you need a lot of leg muscle to kick ur leg at the height you want. The only way to learn this kick properly is to first go over it during your martial arts lesson then practice it at home
This kick can be performed in two ways. One for breaking and one for sparring. In sparring you use flatfoot to attack. So - if he's doing taekwondo - he may be practising for sparring ;D
thats more like a reverse vertical kick with footssword not even close to a reverse turning kick

yah but the proper way is to have the heel above the toes, any1 can just flick their leg up. that one is basically a 360 leg rase
but im sure hes still good :)
