the resonator is still there. I originally went to the shop to do a custom true dual exhaust but since they didnt have any of the parts i wanted i got my "temporary exhaust" on. I didnt bother to take out the resonator cause i figured it would go soon anyway. Its been almost 3 years and my "temporary exhaust" is still on! LOL. I get complements all the time so that why i never opted to upgrade.
I had a setup just like that on my 350z. I went to Borla true dual, but hated the sound even when I cut the resonaters! I have it straight piped now, but I'm thinking about putting a flowmaster back on it bc it's a bit too loud. I'm looking for a different type flowmaster, kinda one that can fit where the stock resonater would be. Sounds good!!
im not sure with one..my exhaust shop told me that they put the camaro one in there cuz it matched up good..it sounds good man..it had a perfect resonating sound at 4k and thats when i shift..but its realy loud wen the occasional 7k comes up..its a beast
Nice man, thats exactly what i did. I replaced the stock muffler with a 40 series flowmaster and added with the cold air, it sounds really good and aggresive. I'll post a sound clip of it pretty soon and send it your way to see what you think of it.
What size pipes did you use with the 80 series, I'm thinking about going with a 2.50 myself.
