@TheLFCFAN98 yeah I agree with you they have brilliant sound quality, but they are a little fragile as a headset and you would want something more rugged, but for giotecks first proper headset they are out of this world, gioteck are going to go a long way with gaming headsets if they make them like this again.
I got my headset at GAME for christmas (Geotech EX-05) and it's been working since February 10th 2012 and now when I go onto the Accessory Settings > Audio Device Settings, It doesn't let me change the 'Default' ones to 'Geotech EX-05 Headset' yet when it does let me change, the writing goes gray and only the mic works, not the sound. (All I hear is a contstant low pitch beep)
@Reblox This is probably going to be annoying for you because the only thing that I can think off is to take them back to GAME. My mate had the same problem as you, but on the Xbox, I tried to fix that and didnt have any luck. As long as you have got your receipt (proof of purchase) they will either give you another set, or you can get a different headset.
@PowerInControl the one that I have got in the video is a usb, so therefore it doesnt need charging, if you have got the wireless headset then it should say in the instruction manual that is in the box
@MysticWorksXL Im not actually mate, i was watching the screen to see whether the camera was moving. as the cable makes it twist when I am making videos, but I have found a way of stopping that
Just bought the Gioteck EX-05 headset, it has changed the way I listen to music (HD earphones) and has changed the sound quality of the videos I create (HD microphone)
I use HDMI cable on the Xbox but my tele dont have a red and white port on their own, I have tried two of them on it but it still doesnt work, the mic works fine though... Any ideas?
@Meth90wu Use the adaptor that comes with your console that plugs into your scart port on your tv. Plug the red and the white cables into that. This should help you

@iDeziqne in your box theres a little cable that plugs into your controller and the other end into the gioteck thingy the brick type thing lol lets just hope you didnt throw away the box

They have worked perfectly until today when i was talking to a friend and they started making poping noises and they would not switch back on. I do not know if it has anyting to do with charging them because i do not know how to do that either. I am on the Playstation.
@iDeziqne are u using the the cable with the 2.5mm jacks at both ends? one end goes into ur controller and the other into the voice and game control box

First of all he's right; the manual is useless when it comes to installation on any system, not just console. You may have noticed there is no option on the control box for "PC", but after about 30mins of looking around I finally found out the answer...
When I unpacked my headset it was set to "Xbox 360". Instead switch it to PS3 and wait a couple of minutes... during this you should see in your taskbar a new icon has appeared -- this is the hardware installing. After that it should work.
@chelseaboy303 I dont use this for my pc as I had the one just for xbox, but if you have the multi format headset it would simply be plug it in, you might have to install it if it comes with a disk and check the control panel in case the settings arnt right for the headset. record your voice for the video and your done. its really easy the first time is always the worst. experiment with different ideas

@SuperBillygray7 When you brought your xbox you should have a av adaptor that plugs into the scart port on your tv. Plug the red and the white cables into that and plug in into your scart port on your tv. If you are using a HDMI cable use your HDMI mode on your tv and your headset will then work on that, if you are using a av cable then un plug the red and the white cables from the xbox lead and plug the headset in then plug the xbox lead on top of the cables for the headset.

@TheNewestNobleMember first of all mate I think that you need to calm down a little, but go to the control panel on your computer and make sure that the headset is set to what you want it to do on your computer. If that doesnt work then go on the gioteck forums and see if anyone else on the pc forum has got the same problem as you, someone may be able to help you there.

@CallyEdits U know the av cables u plug into ur telly (red yellow and white) well take thr red and white out and put the cable fr the headset into those slots (red and white) and then put the other red and white av cable fr ur xbox into the cable (youll get it when u see it)
I have been trying for about three hours to set this up for the 360, the AV cable which plugs into the back of the xbox restricts you from plugging the HDMI cable in underneath. I am able to hear people and talk in an xbox live party but cannot hear no game at all. HELP please!!

@mateusszz19941 seems like you are the only person that has that problem with my video. It is your personal opinion on the video but I am explaining what I am doing so there shouldnt be to much of a problem. I have always had shaky hands anyway and I cant change that.
Stay away from this item, I bought them from game for £99 and the next day it made a buzzing noise then stop working! I am taking them back today to get px21s

Best thing to do is make sure you have got the correct headset, because there is a headset for Xbox and there is a multi format headset. Try using you av adaptor that plugs into the scart port on your tv just for the red and the white cables.

@1975supermike Hi Mike, the red and the white cables are RCA cables are connectors, they don't have individual names as they are working together when they are connected to your television. They carry the audio and the video from the television to the headset, and more. The more is as you may know, that the headset gives you more sounds, meaning if you are playing CoD you can here foot steeps that you might not be able to here from normal television volume. Hope this has helped you.
Hey there! I just bought this headset and everything works apart from my voice, the cables are plugged in, it just thinks that there is no microphone there and the little symbol won't show up on the party screen. So basically the microphone isn't being recognised, any thing that you think could help me?
@TwinnedStrifeGaming, I have the same problem with my MW3 controller. Sometimes it will work for me though. Its the controller that is causing you this problem I think, try plugging your headset into a different controller, if your headset then works then you know its your controller that is faulty, if you still have the same problem of a different controller then I would take the headset back and get another one. Hope this has helped.

@gavbno1 Yeah I am running a HDMI cable, this set up was just from previous experiences with turtlebeaches, and that I have some sort of knowledge on technology :S.
I just bought this headset and the mic doesnt work. It says there there is a mic connected but it just doesnt pick up and of my voice. and the only sound it does pick up is when i talk into where the mic goes into the earcups, and that is really quiet. have you heard of this? is it just a faulty item.
@dorge141 this is the first case I have heard of, it could be the controller is playing up, as I had a problem with my modern warfare 3 controller, which I am going to have to take back, only other option I can think of is make sure that the double ended jack (which plugs into your sound control box to your controller is fully connected and that the jacks arnt bent and the cable looks fine. @OPG19872 Unfortunately this headset doesnt have a bass roller. Although the sound quality that you receive from the headset is amazing. The only problem with bass rollers on headsets are that they never work to the full potential or of a standard that the customer would want, unless you get the ridiculously expensive ones. for my gameplay commentaries I use a normal pc microphone that you can by from pc stores, and for face to face videos like this I use the microphone that is built in to my webcam. As for the buzzing, I havent experienced this myself, could be that you have to play around with the preferences or the game and voice volume on your mic box, if not just check the connections.

Just got this today and it is for pc xbox and ps3 I have ps3 an I have connected everything but I can only hear the game and others like it would sound on my tv just in the headset and it doesn't say my mics connected and no -one can hear me any ideas
I tried that but if i plugged the red and white leads into my tv, sound was only coming through one side of the headphones( this happened with the ones i bought from Asda, i took them back because i thought they were broke). I have changed something my xbox audio settings and this has sorted the problem. Im using the xbox av audio adaptor aswell.

@SirRich300 Hi Rich just read your comment the adaptor that I mentioned in the video is the adaptor that comes with your xbox. But try changing your voice preferences through the guide button. That might help you.

Hope this helps, i have a propper old 360 and it works a treat. You just need to plug the usb into the usb port(obviously) then plug the red and white leads into this adaptor then plug the adaptor into the AV slot in the back of the xbox.

Cheers for this mate. It's weird cos it really is easy but for some reason I can't get it to work for me. My tv doesn't have the red and white RCA sockets separate from the rest. They're all in a big cluster. I've tried every combination of white and red inputs but with no luck. I'll give it another go in the morning.

@gavbno1 Yeah I am running a HDMI cable, this set up was just from previous experiences with turtlebeaches, and that I have some sort of knowledge on technology :S.

I just bought this headset and the mic doesnt work. It says there there is a mic connected but it just doesnt pick up and of my voice. and the only sound it does pick up is when i talk into where the mic goes into the earcups, and that is really quiet. have you heard of this? is it just a faulty item.

@dorge141 this is the first case I have heard of, it could be the controller is playing up, as I had a problem with my modern warfare 3 controller, which I am going to have to take back, only other option I can think of is make sure that the double ended jack (which plugs into your sound control box to your controller is fully connected and that the jacks arnt bent and the cable looks fine. Too clear this up, just purchased these today, do they work with the HDMI cable and give the same quality picture and sound ??????? Cheers mate

@gavbno1 Sorry for the late reply I had a outdoor course with my college, and havent been able to access the internet, but yeah it has great quality with the HDMI cable

Hey. Do these have decent bass? I have the Turtle Beach X11's and the bass on those is crap.
Does the volume block have a bass increase/decrease roller?

@OPG19872 Unfortunately this headset doesnt have a bass roller. Although the sound quality that you receive from the headset is amazing. The only problem with bass rollers on headsets are that they never work to the full potential or of a standard that the customer would want, unless you get the ridiculously expensive ones. for my gameplay commentaries I use a normal pc microphone that you can by from pc stores, and for face to face videos like this I use the microphone that is built in to my webcam. As for the buzzing, I havent experienced this myself, could be that you have to play around with the preferences or the game and voice volume on your mic box, if not just check the connections.

how do you record the your voice with this headset for commentaries? also ive just bought them and when im with people my headset has a really annoying buzzing sound and players can hear it, please reply and help!

Just got this today and it is for pc xbox and ps3 I have ps3 an I have connected everything but I can only hear the game and others like it would sound on my tv just in the headset and it doesn't say my mics connected and no -one can hear me any ideas

I tried that but if i plugged the red and white leads into my tv, sound was only coming through one side of the headphones( this happened with the ones i bought from Asda, i took them back because i thought they were broke). I have changed something my xbox audio settings and this has sorted the problem. Im using the xbox av audio adaptor aswell.

@BoltonJagerBomber Hey man, can I ask exactly how you've got yours set up? I've got an xbox 360 slim with an HDMI cable.I'm plugging in everything as shown in the video but the sound still just comes through the tv, not the headphones. When you say xbox av adaptor, is that a separately sold component? I think that might be what I need...

@SirRich300 Hi Rich just read your comment the adaptor that I mentioned in the video is the adaptor that comes with your xbox. But try changing your voice preferences through the guide button. That might help you.

@SirRich300 yeh i got mine off ebay, here is the 1 i bought w w w. e b a y.c o.u k/itm/250763317722?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 (take the spaces out). Hope this helps, i have a propper old 360 and it works a treat. You just need to plug the usb into the usb port(obviously) then plug the red and white leads into this adaptor then plug the adaptor into the AV slot in the back of the xbox.

@BoltonJagerBomber Thanks man, that helped to clarify. I managed to get hold of that component and it was definitely the missing piece of the puzzle for me. The headset works now and it works great!

Cheers for this mate. It's weird cos it really is easy but for some reason I can't get it to work for me. My tv doesn't have the red and white RCA sockets separate from the rest. They're all in a big cluster. I've tried every combination of white and red inputs but with no luck. I'll give it another go in the morning.
