Does it lay down? What battery does it take? What time does it have before it doesn't work (like when you have to change the battery or charge it) Does it charge or take a battery?

HAha just like a true cat it just reacts like it wants , not as you expect it to, hehe. Still it s a fugly thing, what's with the round eyes? Japanese put their obsession for round eyes on their robotic toys now too? Please be proud of your slanted cat-eyes! Especially if you're building a robot cat. ^.^

The "cat" sounds are less than convincing, though. Sounds like a person imitating a cat. Would have been better if they went to a shelter or home and recorded some real cat noises.

i just got one.yours is busted!mine does not purr all the time like that, and mine hisses the second the tail is touched.he also arches the back when you pet the back, and his ears move when you pet, and the head turns in towards your hand when you stroke the cheek.plus it lays down!so your cat isn't even doin half the things that it is supposed to do, so just imagine how great this cat is!i got it because my hubby wants a cat, but i don't because of our baby, so this is the trainer!

I purchased one yesterday for a little girl who was invited my daughter to her birthday party. She absolutely loved the cat, and her mother said that it was the best present her daughter received. Now my little girl wants one! It is very cute.

i remember when i was little, my family and i went to the New York's Toys R' Use and i got one of those cats for christmas (it was when they first came out)  the cat worked like crap. it laid down and all you could hear were the gears moving. you had to push down really hard in order to push the button. I hope they're better now.. >.>

lol it's just like a real cat, it never does what you want it to. you want it to purr and it hisses, you want it to hiss and it purrs or goes to sleep. also, the intro reminds me so much of a public access show, or one of those outdated tapes they show you in high school health class.

anyway, 5 stars. i have one of these and they're awesome.

I have a black and white cat a little like that, still a furreal but she's laying down instead of sitting. FurReal animals are awesome though, I have a couple of them. ^^

Cute I have a Necoro robot. I named him Gizmo. He is very cool and he knows his name. He has vision and when one of my bigger cats walk by, he gets annoyed and hisses and meows very annoyed, so I show him his reflection in the mirrow and he paws at himself.

Nice review. I watched it a couple of weeks ago, and finally gave in and bought one today. This cat it sooo cute. However after playing with it, I noticed that only one of the ears move and it only turns its head to one side, not the other. Does both of your cats ears move and head move to both sides? I appreciate your help.

My baby brother just loves this toy cat. Once he watched the advert and went crazy and started meowing when he saw it. He is much worse with real cats, pulling their tails and stroking them too hard. Maybe I'll get him one of these because he can pull this cat's tail to his heart's content. LOL! and he thinks it is funny when it hisses.

hi ginger. this cat is pretty cute and very realistic indeed. best part: no litterbox required :) They also have kittens and other animals. he is quite the character. very good off camera. But on camera, he acted just like a real cat. didn't listen and did the complete opposite of what I asked :)

Awesome review on the furry kitty cat! you have 5 cats? inside? wow. at one point in time, when we were living in IN we had 26 cats that we fed, all outdoor kitties. :D Good luck!

I was laughing so hard I think I missed much of your commentary. Between the purring while its tail was being touched, and its angry meowing while you were trying to cuddle it, that's pretty darned realistic! :D The crazed look it gets right before it meows puts me in mind of "The Exorcist". Great toy!

My thoughts, exactly. Of course, he's a lot better when he's not being stimulated as much as on the video.  His sensors were going crazy. But when he's on the floor and less stimulated, he meows and does more things. Even moves his ears.

My Maine Coon, Max, is the one shown on the video. He's the only one who doesn't feel the urge to destroy it. So that's why he was on the video. The others sort of "know" he's not real and view it as a toy.
