@Bittersweet123=Shane will never be Jenny's fiance, that's for sure. She breaks up ties with Jenny in the end after finding reading the letter from Molly that Jenny hid away in the attic. Molly was the only girl whom Shane truly and really love and was faithful with in her entire life.

What happened between Shane and Jenny (sleeping together and making out in bed) was a mistake because Shane does not know nor aware that Jenny was hiding the letter from Molly in the attic and keeping quiet about it and she was making her forget about Molly and not being able to reconcile with her.

What Jenny can't earn from Shane is her fidelity because the truth about Shane is she's a promiscuous person, a lady killer, and a womanizer. She was the wrong girl whom Jenny has fallen form in fact Shane was never faithful with Jenny after all. The only girl whom Shane ever loved and was faithful with is Molly, she admitted this truth when she was having a conversation with Bette and Tina in their house about her feelings for Molly and that truth is not overrated.
