All this righteous indignation - but you copped a plea!
FUNNY!
JB the evidence against you was strong -- you did it, you know you did it, so you pleaded no contest and took the prosecution's offer.
You did the smart thing to keep your children's father from going to prison.
Face up to the fact that you are guilty of check fraud - the evidence was crystal clear - do what you must do for punishment, and get on your with your life.
Falling into the hands of the justice system is a fearful thing, necessary and God-ordained as it may be. Anyone with much experience of it is familiar with its imperfections and abuses. God save us from the ambition and cynicism (some police and prosecutors), mercenary greed (some defense attorneys), and best intentions (nearly everyone) that are at the root of the system's injustices. Save us especially from the naivete of those who see no harm to the innocent in increased police powers.
Agreed, infact even that we should not seek politics, governmetn as God will protect those who believe no matter what, however I AGREE we must seek justice in Government as well. I have no rights under God, but as an American I have rights (its' a contradiction) I guess not unlike Paul being a citizen of God's kingdom, but also had "rights" as a citizen of The Roman Empire!
I cannot express to you how sorry I am that this cross has fallen upon you, Jeremiah. I have a family too and understand how this must hurt you. You are experiencing an "agony in the garden" of sorts. I can only tell you that this pain you are experiencing in the end will bring a greater compassion toward others & a more vigilant perception. We must be wise as serpents- vipers abound where & when you least expect them to "vipe". You MUST give this burden to Christ, you must surrender this 2 Him.
