  • Im tired of people acting like its only Tyler Perry its Holly wood period all of them portray the negative stereotype

  • Private practice is a show that features black people going out of their way to be with whites. Show sucks.

  • TheDreamReborn

    Man I can't agree with u more!

  • I do not watch that s--t .

  • Finally someone who understands. I do not like the stereotypical media, worst part is the people who tell me about it are stereotypical people.

  • @SuperBrobot

extension: fanatics that follow Tyler Perry as if he is some sort of film-making god or something

  • I can't understand what he's saying.

  • People are always blaming the media, however the media is a reflection of society. You can go to any majority Black neighbourhood and all you see are hot messes. That is 90% of them and sadly the majority run the show. Stereotypes always have some truth in it. If you have a messed up family, you have no one to rely on. Period.

  • @Bubblegum8606 Right.

  • w.t.f is this shit...lol...u right tho...a lil bit,u aint right about it all tho hommie...1st off NO MATTER WHAT TYLER PERRY DO..HE DOIN IT CUS HE LOVE THE BIZZNESS AND MAKIN A NAME FOR HIMSELF...yea he can do betta..and i agree with u and SPIKE LEE...he making a damn fool outta Blacks n how we act ,the way he puttin it in his movies...i agree man,he actin in a dress..now thats jus sad...BUT HE BREAKIN IN THE WHITE MAN GAME.1ST OFF,NOW BLACK FILM MAKERS CAN FOLLOW UNDER HIM...celebrate,dont hate

  • PREACH!!!!

  • The thing I like about Tyler Perry movies is that he always makes his black women classy. They are always sucessful, big homes, great jobs, terrible relationships or a terrible childhood...You know the things that everyone of color goes through. Of course some of them may act "ghetto" and you will see the same thing in a white comedy with people acting a fool. I can totally relate to it and get a kick out of the "ghettoness" he protrays himself to be.

  • Great point some people don't realize that the kinds of people in Tyler Perry's films aren't the only kinds of black people. It's sad but smart black characters don't go as far in the media as stupid black people do. Im at school now and alot of people who aren't black expect alot of steriotypical behavior from black students.

  • You put it very well, black ppl in america should wake up and see all this mess the media puts out. AS BLACK PPL, WE NEED TO GET TOGETER MORE, AND GET STICK TOGETER MUCH MORE. I have lived outside the U.S. The world looks at black in a negative light, becuse of our actions.

  • i dig what u saying man

  • Here's some food for thought. Black people watch the shows with black people on them. Only stereotypical black people are depicted on these shows. Black people cheer for the stereotypical black person because they're glad a black person is on TV. Thus, the cycle repeats itself.

  • There is a show my mom watches called Private Practice. That has a black woman as one of the main characters. Watch that show instead. Now that I think about it it's really the only one out there that I can think of so watch it. Make it profitable. White people watch it too because the characters are well developed on both an emotional and intellectual level. They can relate to these black characters.

  • @jmp85usa Private Practice is a very well written show. Little known fact: It was created by a black woman. The show is a spin off of Grey's Anatomy which was also created by the same woman, Shonda Rhimes. I was shocked to find that out after I watched Grey's Anatomy for years. It was unlike any other show created by a black person. Refreshing to say the least.

  • @TheDreamReborn Yes sir.

  • This should be the new norm, the new stereotype. Well educated, loving black people. Like Spike Lee said, you're voting with your money. You're voting with your time. Every time you watch one of these stupid shows you're saying this is ok. I like this show. I want to see more shows like this.

  • Your not even fucking black your foreign.

  • @julioholderbusiness Black is not a nationality.

  • @julioholderbusiness He's an American, he lives in Brooklyn; and yes, he is black. He is a Black American.

  • When most people see black people acting a fool, they don't pay much attention to it,it's like they're just black people you know how they are.Black parents need to start teaching their kids how to be civilized and stop getting mad when others try to teach them.Black folks may not realize it,but most people don't expect as much from blacks as they would from someone of other races, they have been programmed to think black people just aren't as smart as others and affirmative action doesn't help.

  • Your dedication to white women giving them passes you won't give to your own is coonery as well. Brotha

  • Dardaf904, TheDreamReborn is voicing his OPINION. If you don't like it, talk to the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. Stop causing trouble. He is talking specifically about the black race and how he feels about stereotypes. I'm sure he could talk about white people too, he just chooses black people. Go make your own videos if you really want to see it happen. There is no need for you to be doing what you are doing. And whether you like it or not, there is truth to this.

  • Let me clear this up before I get any negative comments about what I said. I am saved. Racism is the Devil's work.

  • @dardaf904 HEY SHITHEAD YOU BLACK WOMEN ARE JUST TERRIBLE

  • Lousy good for nothing worthless bastard! Madea is hilarious!

  • @Nirelknows Be nice

  • Comment removed

  • @PopCulture20 I'm not "going there" with you. God bless you.

  • Its a two edged sword son.

  • the BET channel is poison for the mind.

  • Will Smith, Wesley Snipes and Samuel L. Jackson aren't stereotyped are they?

  • i like the second picture...

  • the people who thumbs downed this are the same people you're talking about. good job sir!

  • LOL! I didn't know that being black means I automatically have to accept all the coonery from my people. If Tyler Perry wants us to stop complaining, he needs to stop showcasing coonery, stop portraying all black families are dysfunctional, keep his religion to himself, stop portraying dark-skinned men as villains, and stop portraying black women as weak, co-dependent cry babies.

  • Honestly I can't imagine any white person seeing these type of movies.

  • I would really like your feed back on this. After listening to your video I looked up White stereotypes on the net guess what there aren't any. This bothers me as you said so much of how we think is influenced by TV and movies why is there not something out there to say (what you see about white people is bullshit too?) Do Black people except the things they see on TV and in movies as a realistic portrayal or maybe all the vulgar things Spike has to say? Just wondering.

  • The accent plus the topic he's talking about is genius.

  • I have to say keep doing your thing ... your speaking the truth.. keep up the good work man... from a black brother to another man

  • Black People........ smh lol!!!

  • Filmmakers need 2 take responsibility for putting these images on tv.

  • Man You are so real.. and so smart ... love your vids make more the world need to hear you

  • I don't watch anything made by Tyler Perry. His movies are really stupid and they do infact make black people look stupid on tv. This is why I don't watch alot of black shows because they're fucking embarrassing to watch. I'm an aspiring filmmaker myself and I am never going to make movies like that shithead Perry does. I hate all those Madea movies and House Of Payne. They're really dumb.

  • @agentbl You say Tyler Perry's work is embarrassing, but with a NASTY-GIRLY ATTITUDE LIKE YOURS, I would be embarrass to WATCH ANYTHING YOU MAKE, so good luck with your film career, because you will never get to Perry's level BUFFOON!!!

  • @PopCulture20 Hey dumbass, I'm not trying to get up to Tyler Perry's level. I'm my own person with my own ideas. And I think his work is embarrassing because it really makes black people look bad. It depicts black people as non educational and really ghetto. I grew up in the ghetto, but I'd never make a movie or TV show that makes black people look so ghettoish. Why would you want to look at a show that makes us look ghetto and uneducated? I just don't find anythng like that funny.

  • @agentbl what YOU FAIL TO REALIZE is that NOT ALL of Perry's characters in each one of his films ARE NOT ALIKE but you're too stupid to see that because ALL YOU SEE IS MADEA which is one Perry's most primary characters that people come out to see and you pretend like you don't notice that Perry doesn't stereotype all of his black roles because you're JEALOUS BY A BLACK MAN'S SUCCESS because you're too insecure to who you wanna be DUMBASS

  • @PopCulture20 Are you stupid or something? I don't need to be jealous of him. I don't care about his success. I'm a black man too, but I just don't agree on how he makes his movies. And I know of his other projects as well. Like I said, I have ideas of my own and I'm not looking to rival Perry. I just plan to make movies in a different way. And again, I am not jealous of him and I don't care about his success. I care about mine.

  • @PopCulture20 Just one more thing, I won't ever make ghetto movies. I may have grown up in the ghetto, but making ghetto movies is just not my thing. I'm not saying that I'm above that. I'm just saying that I want my movies to go in a different direction. And I want to make films where black people are actually successful and not sound like ghetto goofs. That's just how I want to make my films. And please don't think I'm hating against Perry. He's a good filmmaker. I want to do the same as well.

  • @agentbl if you weren't jealous of Perry, then you wouldn't on this video expressing your disapproval of him. YOU ARE JEALOUS OF HIM HATER and this why as a BLACK PERSON, I stay away from other jealous blacks LIKE YOU because people like you hate to see other blacks get ahead in life and as a acting major myself , I would NEVER play in anything directed or produced by YOU because attitudes like YOURS GET NO RESPECT FROM ME!!!

  • @PopCulture20 Again, you make the wrong assumption that I am jealous of Mr. Perry. This is where I say that you are making as ASS of yourself. I don't even pay attention to him. I don't disapprove of him at all. I disapprove of the way he makes movies and how blacks are portrayed in the media and the way I will make movies will be the opposite to that. I'm proud of a black man's success, such as his. But making other blacks look stupid and uneducated crosses the line, which I won't.

  • @PopCulture20 And I don't hate to see other blacks get ahead in life. I'm very proud when a black person gains some success in his or her life. My idols were Boyz II Men and I loved their music and still do. And for you to say that you wouldn't play in anything that I'll direct or produce, that's very asinine. You don't even know my style of screenwriting or genre. And I don't need your respect or approval. But I do wish you the best of luck and many blessings in your acting career.

  • @PopCulture20 "HATEING" and the truth are two different things my friend and this man speaks the truth. we as a people are not baggy pants wearing spending to much money on stuff we don't need people, this stereotype is very ugly and negative we are humanbeings. more power to perry but with all that money he makes he needs to make something more empowering to ALL black people, not just the stereotypical closed-minded section of the audience. and i could give a shit less about BET's bullshit.

  • @ECampbellWORX I've seen enough of Perry's films to know that not all of his characters are alike. Yes Perry has stereotypical African-American roles in this films, but he ALSO has black characters in those SAME FILMS that express individuality (in stereotype lingo, it means ''acting white''). Perry is EXPOSING what modern day African-Americans have to go through in middle-lower class environments. These are characters that exist in real life!!

  • @PopCulture20 Right, right but I'm black and don't act nor would never act like the people he betrays in his films. i did'nt say they were alike i'm just saying there mostly stereotypical. I have black friends that don't near the things he betrays nor would i hang out with a person that does such. don't get me wrong if a persons a good person i WILL hang. But what about EXPOSING the black young adult that could give a shit less about Jordans and lessen to a broader range of music.

  • @ECampbellWORX uh HELLO? did you read what I said in my post about all of Perry's films that also consisted of black characters who express individuality? Primary black characters I add. The fact that you chose to look pass that part of my post proves that blacks like you all in this chat forum have NO RESPECT for a black man that's doing for himself and it's PATHETIC!!!

  • @PopCulture20 yes i read that and those, black character that express individuality but STILL don't show enough range. they still fit into black stereotypes. and even if they do there STILL over shadowed by the stereotypical ones by far. the stereotypical black person will always take precedent in his work while the individual takes a back seat.

  • Tyler Perry is not creating a negative depiction on African-Americans because these people that you see in his films really exist in neighborhoods where success isn't a top priority so you all can't blame Perry for his brutal honesty. OUR REAL-LIFE BLACK PEOPLE CREATED THESE CHARACTERS. Perry is only portraying them so don't blame him for something that already existed.

  • @PopCulture20 and theres no such thing as "acting white" I'm a strong believer of acting humanly, not limiting ones self to corny backwards thinking stereotypes. Martian Luther king Jr. fought for HUMAN rights not black rights thus we must act humanly and drop these stereotypes that were "suppose" to abide by.

  • I notice most of you on here are only pointing out the negative of Perry's work, but not once have I seen anything positive to actually make your negative opinions more debatable.

  • @PopCulture20 and for a positive comment he did point out the faults with modern day black society in one of his movies. it was a scene were there was a family reunion, good stuff but hidden under stereotypes ultimately. In fact forgot that scene till you said "say something positive". Terry a hard working man no doubt but with the tons of money he has he should be betraying black people as human beings not tired stereotypes. his characters should act like normal humans and HAPPEN 2 b black.

  • @ECampbellWORX what are YOUUUUU talking about because you make no sense at all

  • @PopCulture20 there do pride to you people speech from family reunion (forgot the name of the movie) anyway there was a group of old african american ladies and they spoke about black pride. that scene was hidden under black stereotypes ultimately because the rest of the movie put stereotypes WAY over this scene. as i said i forgot about this scene till YOU told me to say something positive and that should say something right there.

  • @PopCulture20 Let me ask you a question respectfully; have you ever given an opinion where you disagreed with someone? Did that mean you were jealous of that person? The man is just expressing an opinion, that's all.

  • I love the Boondocks but the 2nd season wasn't that good

  • hey i bet you know what spike lee's dick taste like..doesn't take a lot of money to figure out that conclusion...p.s you havent been black since '83 ..how ignorant to believe there are places with not one black person ..tsk tsk tsk

  • The educated blacks are not glorified.

The gold tooth, dread wearing, dirty, underwear showing tattooed, sneaker pimps are pushed down our throats daily!

That who we immulate... no room for the educated Negroes; but our children are slowly dying...

  • immulate is not a word.

  • I stand corrected.

    Emulate is the correct spelling

    Thank you...

  • @011238 come on now every dread, tattooed and sneaker wearing?!

  • riley from hannah montanna??? you guys mean her?? yeaa i hate her too!! =D

  • I hate that cartoon The Boondocks period. It reminds me of those old blackface cartoons with the black people tap dancing and eating watermelon.

  • What Boondocks cartoon are you watching????

  • Actually I'm not watching the Boondocks. I stopped watching that coon cartoon along time ago.

  • I haven't watched it in a while either. So I can't say what it's like now, but when I did watch it I remember that one of the little dudes was quite the little black nationalist. I do not remember seeing ANY black character expressing any kind of defiance in coon shows. Again; I haven't seen the show in a while. You might be right.

  • thanks brother..let's face it..tyler perry is interested in making money..PERIOD..i can understand one check your brain flick..but multiple ones!!? common!!!! his movies are teaching young wonmen that a man can save you from all your troubles...i love men...but...they are not the answer..the message should be self love..not there's always another man around the corner.if he is interested in really telln a story.maybe he should look at our real issures as blks and write about that!! thank you :)

  • Yes Spike Lee is a hater! he had his time in the 80s and 90s, not it's time for another black director. Spike Lee is just jealous of Tyler Perry b/c Tyler is more except mainstream and his films are WAY more successful. Spike just needs to go sit his short ass down somewhere! Spike if you don't like what u see, do something about it. go make more movies and try to out do Tyler! If u can.

  • Spike is not alone. Alot a black people feel the same way Spike does about Tyler Perry' s product. And I'm one of them. Btw, the fact that you would suggest that Spike make a movie and try to out -do Tyler Perry shows me what level you're on.

  • Whatever level you feel I'm on doesn't matter. yes, alot of blacks feel the same way Spike does about Tyler Perry' s product but there are alot of people that feel just the opposite, me included. If u don't care for TP's product, then my expert advice to u would be to stop watching them, it's that simple. Tell Spike to go complain about real issues in blk media starting with rap videos that demean & disrespect black women. To me, that's a much bigger issue than Tyler P's TV & film projects.

  • I stopped watching TP's stuff a long time ago. And Spike Lee has commented on more serious issue's included the counter-productive contributions of the Rap community. But I will concede that I may have been out of order when I commented on your level of consciousness. I should have not personalized my comments by attacking you. I don't know you; so on that point I was wrong

  • no problem, it's all good. take care :)

  • It doesn't matter. Someone will always whine about how blacks are portrayed. Either they're acting too white or too black... It's this whole victim mentality towards shit and at the same time dumb ass rappers reinforcing the already existing sterotypes that's your problem. By even making this video you're contributing to keeping up this "us vs them" shit. It's no secret that blacks hassle eachother if they act too "white". What is white? I have no fking idea. Just focus on individuality.

  • Tyler Perry is fucking gay running around in a fucking dress

  • I agreewth you, coonery

  • I thought I was the only one who really disliked the 2nd season of boondocks.

  • I totally must agree with your video on this one. I personally love Tyler Perry's work but the thought of the image he is portraying to the world is a bit.....Ghetto in my eyes. But I try not to look at just one expect, though what he is showing off isn't really something you can just over look. As for that guy dardaf, Just ignore him....He is most likely a waste of your time. Also I can't wait to see your new videos.

  • Thanks Oni! :)

  • @TheDreamReborn I care to know, keep it up. One love mon!

  • Great Video Pimp I agree with u. and I told my peeps that the Boondocks flip the script. I used to read the comic strip so I was a true fan and ur so on point keep it going brother. the rapper Plies calls himself a GOON (coon)this to provides a look into the popularization of COONING. Peace!

  • White people had coonery type movies....a lot of them You don't seem to have a problem with that ...."Dude Were is My Car"....or something like that....talk about that...OOO I got another one all of the "American Pie" movies...especially the pie part. OOO here's another one "Water Boy" Take about that. Take your ass back to Africa...your one of the negros we don't need. Kick rock...or dirt...whatever it is yall got over there.

  • Didn't I just tell you that I am NOT from Africa?

  • I don't care were your from. Your so fucked up you still need to go back to Africa. Start all over again from the MotherLand...Your just that fucked up.

  • exactly what I said was, "if you write me."

  • @dardaf904 You are correct but they also have movies showing themselves in a positive light. With the exception of Spike Lee's movies, most black movies stereotype black people as clowns, prostitues, relationship game players, black men dressing up as elderly black women and criminals. There are white productions that show them as buffoons but also of a 16 year old doctor,Doogie Houser,

  • This guy is a dumb dick he needs to take his ass back to Africa

  • Comment removed

  • I am NOT from Africa.

  • and if you write me again I'm telling you straight up, Don't come to me talking about white people and why your worried about what they think. Get your black ass out of the box ( crab basket) and think

  • You come onto MY video and tell me not to reply to the comments you leave on MY video? smh...

  • Non black...I didn't say you couldn't comment on your video

  • @dardaf904 since when have blacks cared about what whites think i mean this guy sounds latino or carribean black is not a color it is an race

  • Comment removed

  • @dardaf904 better have removed that stupid ass comment shithead

  • @HARDHITTER614 WOW.....are you serious?....Peace.

  • @dardaf904 you make blacks look bad why are you worried what another race such as the white race(a weak scared race)think about you worry about what the dominant race like the black think about you your probably a damn mexican

  • @HARDHITTER614 There are dangers involved with showing negative images of blacks. Because the media shows so many of them, people in general start to think that it's OK. This image of this man as King Kong is not OK. Let's me give you an example of what bad images have done to black men....Let's say somewhere down the road this man is accused of rapping a white woman Would the world be amped in believing it's more likely true?... Look up the movie, "The Birth of a Nation." It's on YouTube

  • Season 2 of the boondocks did have a point.I understood the messages they stressed in the epidsodes(old blacks vs. young blacks, stop snitching, etc. etc.).

  • You are so right about The Boondocks 2 season. It gets very redundant I wonder if it even has a point.

  • I tried very hard but couldn't find one. I'm hoping for the best with Season 3.

  • nigger accent? what the hell is a nigger accent.

  • I'd love to know myself. These people are just running out of crap to say.

  • i work with south-africans, australians, canadians, upperclass brits, cockney speaking brits, scots, caymanians and jamaicans. i'm having trouble understanding the lot of you (i'm swedish/american). "broken english", btw, is an unfair label. all languages are developing all the time. english, as an example, have a huge amount of scandinavian terms in it. i'm sure brits from 100 years ago find todays english regarldess of origin broken as well.

  • 1. False

    2. its immature to make a diss list

    3. Grow up

  • see previous comment, this is not a "black" accent, it's a regional Caribbean accent. Many white and Asian people speak like that as well...

  • I'm just now seeing your comment. Thanks for breaking it down for the simpler minds. In this video I wasn't even speaking in my native dialect. Everything that I said was Standard English. My accent somehow gets these simple folks confused and they tend to hear what they'd like me to sound like instead of what I actually sound like. And as you said, it's not a "black" thing. All my friends in Trinidad have the same accent. White, Black, Indian, Asian, you name it.

  • This coming from an obese Australian boy with breasts...

  • some Caribbean accent...

  • well,at least a bit more pleasant than the average ebonic crap.

  • man i love your accent

  • Ask your self this? Why would a black person put on black face to make himself black if he's already black in the first place. In other words, where would he first get the concept.. that's like you getting dressed in your own clothes then going in front of your family saying, "look ya'll I'm going to make you laugh today by pretending to be myself." Duh! Now on the other hand look at old and new comedy. The best "skits" are when a comedian makes you laugh while impersonating someone else.

  • Too much stereo typing from hollywood not just by white people but by some black people too. When a brother or sista is off track,of course we call them to the floor and check them on they're stuff.

  • Uh..ACTUALLY to "dabidosan" The "original" minstrel show was done by a white man imitating a black traveler in black face. Black people took over minstrel shows because who could play a nigger better than a nigger. And 2nd it was the easiest way for blacks to get into film by playing demeaning roles which were not to far from their real selves in the eyes of whites

  • Uh..Actually to "AppreciationBaby" the Minstrels performed in black face had no set theme. Perhaps calling what the Slaves did as "Minstrel show" was a bad choice of words on my part. BUT they certainly partook in a performance of song and dance, often to occupy their minds from their current plight. Whites certainly stereotyped this thereafter. It's no different than w/ the Slaves in Brazil and their practices of Capoiera. Most of these customs were done to hide ideas from the slave master.

  • anoying

  • Why do Black people care so much about their portrayal in the Media? An outlet which is rarely honest if ever. I don't get upset about the portrayal of White on the Springer show. Do Black people really think that's how all White people are on that show? Jon Gosselin (Jon & Kate + 8) is half Korean. If he cheats and leaves his wife do you associate that with all Koreans? No, of course not! STOP LETTING THAT IDIOT BOX FOOL YOU!

  • You're overestimating the intelligence of the common individual. Yea, we shouldn't let tv influence how different races act. Yet, people do use tv as a way to judge others.

How do you think such ideas spread? Why do people automatically assume Asians are geeky nerds? TV. Why are white fathers assumed to be beer drinking football freaks fat men? TV...etc.

TV is influential on the way people think. That's why negative stereotypes can be so detrimental.

  • I agree & disagree with you. Certainly TV can have an influence, however most of the stereotypes you described were present before the majority pubic had television sets. They were simply shared through different mediums: Books, Movies, Soc Gatherings, etc. Ultimately it's up to the individual to determine what is accurate. If you were to ask the gen population how many think that what's on TV is real, I bet most of them would reply: it's all made up. Yet they keep falling for the same lies. Why?

  • Yeah, I see what you mean. I understand that TV isn't the only source of stereotypes, but at the same time it's still not okay to completely dismiss it. I've read studies about the effects of TV, video games, and more that can all effect's ones view of a person.

Also, TV perhaps doesn't start stereotypes but it reinforces them. The typical ghetto black person can be seen all the time, to the point you just start wondering if all black people are like that.

  • Another thing is the audience who is watching the shows. There are a lot of kids who watch TV, and I know that what they see can influence their perception of someone.

  • Man, I just realized that I typed "pubic" instead of public- of all the words to misspell!!!!

  • Hmmm. If you look in history- The original Minstrel Shows were done by Slaves for Slaves. It was accepted by Blacks during this time. When White people portrayed the Minstrels, then it became offensive. So does Spike only says these things about Tyler because he's knows White people are watching? I just don't get this? Can't show a FAKE happy go lucky Blacks- It's Racists! Can't show REAL violent Blacks on Cops- It's Racist! Black portrayal on TV is either Fake or Stereotypical. C'mon

  • i disagree with you, tyler perry is awasome spike lee is good to but i love tp

  • Tlyer Perry's best works was his early plays. His movies are garbage.

  • thats your oppion

  • Spike is right on Tyler movies.

  • you know, ummmmm, you know, ummmmmmmm, you know ummmmm, you know ummmm anyway

  • Couldn't have agreed with you anymore about the Boondocks turning into "The Riley Escobar Papastacks Show". It's sad to imagine Aaron losing control over his show. Even though Sony owns the rights, it's an Adult Swim show more than anything and they always let their creators express themselves.

  • ever seen black people this day age in a social emviroment such as highschool? they DO follow trend of what clothing is the best based off of the songs and media that draw them in, if black people would rather the media talk about how they are usualy in vovled in gangs and violence and how rap music mainly comprised of black people usually has something to do with drinking, smoking, sex, women and having the best clothing and overpriced un-needed jewelry. because today in age you see it alot.

  • Umm, all nationalities and races follow trends; and actually white people are the biggest buyers of rap music.

  • Qwami gave Omarosa a chance she didn't deserve and she was who caused Qwami to loose the competition. That is why she is hated. Classic example of blacks acting as"crabs in a barrel".

  • would you rather the media portray the blacks who glorify crime and violence? because that is very real. be glad the media cannot portray how a lot of blacks act and live. it would be called racist.

  • LOL it IS how black people act. more blacks fit the stereotype than not.

  • Agree with you--I grew up with black people living next door & have worked with many black people over many years in the health care field. Take all those stereotypes & throw them out! Black people are as individual as anyone else is in this world.

  • @OShaughnessyk ..thnk u 4 lettin dem knw. all ppl r individual.. n in all ppls dere r groups, bad, good, weird, retarded, u name it.. it wud b totally ignorant of ppl 2 generalise on a ppl basin on statistics or ppl dey cum across.. i cum across black ppl of diffrent backgrounds n personalities.. gud n bad.. n vice versa

  • message to thedreamreborn...listen man i been saying this for YEARS about tyler perry and everybody defends this guy when i debate about him then im the hater...its about time someone agrees with me THANK YOU

  • I know the feeling too well. People don't look beyond the surface and that's where all the problems begin.

  • kkosh ka fleeben hosshe kenarben

  • you generalize and judge sooo much. and you are constantly blocking viewers whose comments you do not agree with. I'll Pray for you.

  • You don't pay attention much. I only block people who disrespect me. Many people disagree with me and I continuously go back anf fourth with them. They only get blocked when the name calling starts. You could keep your prayers. Peace.

  • You need to relax, Madea is black church culture, plain in simple its not stereotypical or anything else. You may not like it, but at least it's not portraying black people in a negative way. You're taking your argument to the wrong person. Tyler perry had an all black audience before he made movies. You look like you need to learn more.

  • "Madea is black church culture"

    And that doesn't bother you?

  • Not really seeing the "big mama" in my family, actually went by the name madea. I think Madea is what you call the big mom of the family. In other words the eldest grandmother. I think that's where it comes from

  • Stop hatin on Tyler if you don't like his WORK then you don't have to watch it. I don't like the new 90210 so i don't watch it but I don't hate.Tyler Perry He is blessed and what God has given him no one can take away.

  • Nobody's "hating" on Tyler Perry. Does the new 90210 portray blacks in a bad light? Highly doubt it. that's why I didn't mention it in this video.

BLOCKED for being a dumb ass.

  • 1:40-2:14 That is their problem if they are to dumb to separate a movie and real life I don't give F*uck

about what white people think neither should you.

  • I am glad I am not the only who thinks Tyler Perry's movies and TV shows aren't good.

  • tyler perry portrays the uncensored version of underrepresented black american culture. SO WHAT!!! y must blacks always censor their reality for 'the white folks' as usual? come on!!! not in 2009.

  • Are you kidding me? So every black old lady shoots everything in sight and hide from the "po-po"? What a BS comment.
