  • BEATELS KICK ASS

  • Wow this is right on the money

  • Lol, frank really has a good sense of humour here, I like it! I hate it when he just remains silent all the time

  • Ironically, that version of "My Way" wasn't released on vinyl. It was a bootleg.

  • It's amazing what a great mind can do with afew bucks. You are a brilliant writer and I'll be praying everyday that you someday make it big. I want to see what you can do with a decent budget. CALLING ALL CATHOLICS PRAY FOR THIS MAN!!!

  • Outstanding! Great acting, pretty good lighting, great use of Rorschach like off sequences, extraordinary good acting, dialogue and voice talent (for a fan film!!!). Nice little story. Thanks for a job well done!

  • thumbs up if you think this kicks the ass out of war games, it has the power of the first film and it shows the skill of the punisher without the micheal bay esk action scenes

  • Most of the guns used are clearly post-1979. Punisher was way too chatty. And the actor playing Jigsaw clearly didn't research the role. It's like he was channeling the Joker or something. Still giving it a thumbs up for the effort, though.

  • 6:21 should have told him that his a shitty singer lol

  • Beyond excellent! this has made me a fan.

  • I love how Mafia gangster mixed with comic book this shit feels. Subscribing right now!

  • this is the shit and jigsaw's a dick

  • not to sound like a pansy ass hippy but you should try and obtain the punisher's twin .45 handguns from the movie the thomas jane one with john travolta not the sequel

  • What equipment and software you use for this short?

  • @marvelman217 sony hdfx1 camera and final cut pro.

  • @blinky500 The Best Punisher Fan film i Have Seen on Youtube My Friend,Perfect,Would You please Tell me The Name of The ShotGun at 3:44 it looks sweet and could you tell me the website you bought it off please reply.

  • @TNAWWEFan94 cheaperthandirt

  • @blinky500 cold you please tell me the name of the Shot Gun

  • @blinky500 dont know.

  • @blinky500 you don't know what the name of the shotgun is

  • @TNAWWEFan94 i bought it 3 years ago. i just looked at their selection and took my pick.

  • @blinky500 well what do i go to on there to look at shot guns

  • Dude, I'm curious, have you ever sent a script to any of the big movie producers? I have a strong feeling that your movies would be much more successful. As much as I loved Green Lantern, I bet you would have written a script that would've made it the blockbuster sensation it should've been.

  • has this anything to do with the movies or is it more relatrd to the comics?

  • @stephenhealy028 its it's own entity.

  • blinx u make EVERYONE jealous that ur such a good movie maker... including me

    >:(

  • is this a sequel to war zone?

  • @fredkrueger21345 its set in 1979. how on earth could it be a sequel to warzone?

  • @blinky500 my bad... i was just not thinkin lol the shirt and hairdo were both off of warzone considering that the punisher has differentt skulls on his shirt. Sorry i should have remembered that it wasnt cuz jigsaw dies in war zone unless it was vid. game jigsaw which is john saint (which it is not) but my bad Blinkz

  • @fredkrueger21345 no harm, no foul.

  • GOTTA LOVE THE SID VICIOUS AND SEX PISTOLS!

  • i very much liked, script clever & more adult & less ''family friendly'' which the punisher isnt only slight negative thing i can say is jigsaws makeup but other than that awesome, sequel?

  • @Joeyduk watch punisher'80, 81 and 82

  • I don't like the fact that he's a drinker. In the MAX run of comics done by Ennis and Aaron, Castle never touches alcohol, even in a casual manner such as an every day beer. Besides that, pretty damn good. Now do an adaptation of the MAX books.

  • @jfresc1 i think its what makes him different. hes a functioning alcoholic. my version of the punisher is closer to the late 70's early 80's run.

  • I got a kick out of the scene when Jigsaw walked over to the nearest turntable and played The Sex Pistols doing a cover version of "My Way" while having his jollies of taunting a chair bounded Punisher. Looks like Frank Castle got the last dance in the end.

  • I never thought Punisher was an interesting character until I saw your movies. Keep up the great work!

  • Punisher. is. epic. Thanks for reviving him, so much! I enjoy his wit and character! So in-character! :D

  • 8 it takes him 8 seconds to kill every one so they relly woldnt have lasted 10 seconds just like the punisher said

  • this jigsaw is much better than the war zone version, hes more scary, more menacing than a cut up asshole with a gun as he was displayed in warzone

  • the disfigured guy's voice and personality reminds me of Jack Nicholeson's joker

  • PERFECT PUNISHER. I gotta show this to my cousin. he isnt big into comics but LOVES the Punisher. He will love this.

  • I flat out love this and Punisher 80,

The fact that this is EXACTLY on the fucking money the way a Punisher film

should be, and then looking at Hollywood's three I suppose entertaining, but still very failed attempts, makes me pretty sad inside.

There's a very Death Wish/The Exterminator feel to this and 80,

and I believe that's exactly what a live action Punisher needs to feel like,

like an Exploitation film, not just a generic action movie.

  • @RowdyMick7 totally. good references. thats what i was going for.

  • You guys seem to know the punisher's world pretty well. If you've read the oneshot issue, "The Tyger." Maybe you can answer this question.

Say that Frank's childhood crush, Lauren Buvoli,

    {SPOILERS!!}

would've survived, somehow. Would he be the same sociopathic vigilante hellbent on making war with criminals that he is today?

  • @MorDohKombat as long as he went to vietnam- YES. vietnam made the punisher, nothing else. he loves war and i view him as using the death of his family as an excuse. so unless he avoids going to nam, he will always be punisher.

  • @blinky500 I dissagree. Being a longtime Punisher fan. I mean I've read the character for 19 years almost, i belive that Vietnam made Frank disturbed, but it did not make the punisher. It was only until he watched his family gundown infront of him & realized that the police & the justice system wasn't working the way it should've. That's what made Frank Castle the Punisher. Watching all the injustice around the city read Punisher Year One. You will learn where Frank is really coming from.

  • @ravioli5111 did you read BORN? ive based my thesis of punisher on that story. no one goes from a normal family man to a hard boiled psycho killer so easily. it takes a lot more to desensitize you. vietnam made frank the punisher. watching his family get murdered was the straw that broke the camel's back.

  • @blinky500

Generally there are two Punishers: Garth Ennis's MAX Punisher who was warped by Vietnam and "Tyger" and uses the death of his family as an excuse to continue his war. And the mainstream Punisher who wants to protect the innocent and do what the justice system can't (of course mainstream punisher tends to act more like Garth Ennis's Punisher).

BTW, it wasn't the death of his childhood crush itself that planted the Punisher seed, it was seeing her brother brutally avenging her.

  • @Kersey475

Also, before Garth, Frank kept shifting between a tortured soul who wanted to protect innocents and a amoral psychopath who only avoided killing innocents out of pure luck.

Garth gave him a nice balance as a socipath who relishes warfare, but diligently avoids innocent casualties, occasionally shows empathy, and has a subtle sense of dark humor.

As you can tell by now, I am a huge fan of Garth Ennis. What do you think of him?

  • @Kersey475 i like garth, but i dont live or die by him. i like what ive brought to punisher which is what youve described. the sociopath who uses the death of his family as an excuse to keep of fighting. i like that angle and his dark sense of humor. to me castle is soldier without a war to fight and needs a reason to keep going. and i think thats a cool aspect. he's like dexter. he needs to kill but wont kill innocent people.

  • @blinky500

Yeah. Characters who fight for "greater good", "higher cause", and all that BS even though they hate fighting and the fight often causes personal ruin (Jack Bauer, John McClane, etc) I HATE. I admire "Blood Knights" (guys who enjoy the battle and the destruction) and that's why I like Frank. He's a killing machine, he knows it, and he likes it.

If Im lucky enough to become rich, Ill remember to contact you and Garth to make a proper punisher film. Ares might be the voice in Born

  • @ravioli5111 thats partially true, veitnam is what made frank the killer he is, on inside at least. watching his family die was when he crossed over the line he was walking on, without nam he would have been a revenge seeking idiot, without a clue what he was doing, and he would have been killed in his first attempt. nam gave him the skills and knowledge and dark side to become the punisher, his failys death is what completed the transformation

  • Not bad, but you jump the 180 line like crazy. Gotta watch that.

  • @firewing5621 who cares? as long as the movie entertains, it shouldnt matter.

  • @blinky500 Haha. Just trying to help out, dude. I think if you're aiming at being a director, a lot of people might care.

  • @firewing5621 i care about the 180 rule about as much as michael bay does. fyi- michael doesnt give a crap about it. the 180 rule is outdated and an excuse for people to act like they know more about film making when they attempt to critique a movie.

  • @blinky500 Save the vitriol for a harsher critic, sir. It was merely an observation.

  • @firewing5621 sorry didnt mean to attack you. but ive been hearing that a lot lately and its getting on my nerves.

  • @blinky500 Haha, just trying to help out, buddy. If you're trying to be a big-time director, a lot of people might care. Nice work otherwise, though.

  • @blinky500 Just trying to help, dude. But if you're trying to be a big-time director, which I suspect you are, there are a good many who might care.

  • Wow not bad.

  • you are most welcome :-)

  • @azzhyle thank you.

  • How you make the jigsaw's make-up?

  • @carlosuchiha9876 latex and cotton.

  • Whats the song playing in the begning?

  • @LILTECH316 come together, the beatles.

  • brilliant, this is exactly how i see the punisher

  • nice make up effect

  • Thats awsome! You are a really good film maker =D

  • jigsaw is amazing! haha

  • This is great stuff!!! You're really good at making these films.

  • @IronMaidenSlave1978 thank you.

  • nice eldo

  • I have to agree with 1111tcwe1111, you should do Spiderman Noir with the guy playing the punisher play as hammerhead.

  • what is the diff between punisher 79 and present punisher hey when you have the money the you should spiderman noir

  • @1111tcwe1111 the difference is my punisher is set in 1979 and he is still a vietnam war vet.

  • Jezzz! That was awesome!

  • Goood movie....EXCEPT Frank wasnt a drinker...

  • yeah and tony stark doesnt have a thing for alcohol and pretty women. what comic books are you reading?

  • Awesome. Well written and acted.

  • "I cut myself shaving once. I used electric razor ever since. I guess some people just don't have common sense" hahahaha

that really brought on the laughs.

  • that was simply superb. a full master piece

  • Not only directing was good, the cinematography is amazing too!

  • thanks.

  • very well directed. Message to the director, the film was amazingly directing. get you're ass into the new york acedamy for film making

  • actually i graduated college 5 years ago.

  • @blinky500

well i think you wouldn't have much trouble becoming a successfull director some day

  • fingers crossed. hopefully someone WITH MONEY will notice.

  • i like these punisher films and as it turns out i am still waiting for punisher 81

  • great film. very well done!

  • That was...really good.

  • damn the music sets up perfectly with the 79 @ 80 year settings. thats awsome I can see shawn parr on a punisher tv show.

  • Not bad at all man! A nice realistic version of The Punisher!

  • I just came across this one... it's pretty awesome.

  • damn is every punisher film gonna have a beatles related song it it? is so....nice! works better with the character and tone than i thought it would

  • bad ass!!

  • nice vid!

  • Was the electric razor around in 1979?

  • @mwheeling7

yep. the first electric razor was invented in 1928.

  • any man can direct a film, it takes a real man like you to direct these awesome productions.

  • Nicely done. And cool make-up on Jigsaw.

  • thanks blinky. your a great insparation to us (really) small time filmakers!

  • the guy at 2:00 looks like a rougher darker version of the actor Tom Atkins

  • Regular charles bronson great true romance line

  • While well done on a technical level, this version of Frank Castle did not feel convincing or intimidating. Seemed too under-performed. I didn't get a sense of personality of depth from the performance. Didn't seem like a guy who's been through horrific wars and terrible tragedies, nor someone who's been forged into a cold hearted, violent, blood soaked vigilante isolated from the world. The performance could've used more spite and disdain. Emotional intensity is what defines Frank for me.

  • Chris,

    As always... you rock!

  • great short, just the way the punisher should be it not only shows physical but mental toughness. the film itself had very good production values and direction, only bad part is some of the dialogue was a bit cheesy. The acting was very good and i'm very suprized to see this on youtube, given all the horriable crap on it.

  • The razor line is aqwesome man I like this clip good stuff man

  • AWESOME!!!

  • that's how a punisher movie sould be... great , great job , friend... 5 stars!!!

  • You sir have get it!

  • wonderful

  • wow. just, wow. this is great. realy diving into the original punisher comics. great job

  • Jigsaw's way off. The one from the comics would have forgotten about getting paid and went straight for Frank's face.

  • I tip my hat off to sir you are by far the first person that actually got me loving the Punishers character again for this I give this an Oscar unfortunately I don't have an Oscar so heres this virtual Oscar enjoy!

  • thank you. and in return, i will give you punisher'80.... just as soon as i film it.

  • I love how Punisher was kind of dick here XD the back and forths were great!

  • Man, I would have loved to be one of the thugs.

  • Even though I'm a fan of War Zone and Ray Stevenson's Punisher I do not mind this film one bit it is a fresh new twist and I like it is in the 1970's during his time after NAM...

  • Another amazing job, Chris. I love what you did with Jigsaw, and the style and flow of the film is fantastic.

  • Awesome work. Love the seedy 70's backdrop, fits the Punisher perfectly. I'd like to see something from Frank's time in 'Nam sometime.

  • Great Job Sir!!!!!

  • I've been meaning to ask, where do you find your actors? You mentioned to me I thought that sometimes folks come to you but are they friends or do you hire folks? Your Punisher was so believable. I still can't believe that was his voice. He was just phenomenal. Also, how do you get those kinds of establishing shots in the openings of your movies? this opening particularly had me wondering.

  • all my actors are professional actors that i cast for and use over and over again. and yes, shawn was great as punisher. in regards to the opening establishing shots, i kinda borrowed them from some 80's movies. if you can guess them, i will give you a cookie. lol.

  • So, do they actually get paid for your films or is it just to get their names out there that they do this? I was always under the impression that you did this with friends. This is really helping me to understand your process a bit better. Do actors/fans come to you saying "I wanna be in a movie."? How long did it take to finish this piece? Sorry for the questions but I've been seriously re watching a few of your flicks and wondering how you do it.

  • Honestly might be your best work so far. And great choices for music. Do you plan on doing much more Marvel in the future?

  • punisher knows how to talk wisley i cut my self shaving once.and you keep look9ing at me like that people will think you wanna put on a dress and fuck me

  • somebody shoot that guy :P

    great stuff

  • Awesome trailer!! I want to see this movie!

  • uh, you just saw it. the whole thing. this wasnt a trailer. it was a short film.

  • and it was awsome

  • lol Oh my got... He lost his marbles. (

    starkid55)

  • Friggin great, as always!

  • Yeah man, you were right to tell me to go watch this one asap when we met at the con this weekend. Your Punisher was GREAT! I was just astounded with how well he sounded. And the editing was fantastic! Every film you get better and better to the point where we really should stop calling these 'fan films.' All in one room but used to it's complete extent. I love it! BTW I think I recognize Jigsaw's suit from yesterday LOL MOVIE COMPANIES GET OVER YOURSELVES AND GIVE BLINKY A FUCKING JOB!!!!!!!!!

  • Good fanfilm and great acting!

Only thing that made the Punisher less believable in my eyes was that he wasn't very muscular, which from comics etc. he is ripped as can be lol

  • awsome vid.

the guy who acted as jigsaw is just magnifincent.

and the guy acted as frank was a very convincing punisher..

  • heeey, nice work!

  • Jigsaw looks amazing

  • fucken awsome!!!! Blinky 1337!!!

  • You are my idol. Your movies are incredible. This is one of your best.

  • thank you.

  • Nice soundtrack. Not sure how I felt about the homophobic comments coming from the Punisher, but overall, really well done.

  • see you have to realize, its set in 1979. the punisher is by no means PC. personally, i think he has nothing against gays, hes just a foul mouthed, politically incorrect guy of his time. i think thats what makes him cool and sets this portrayal apart from all those PC movies of today. nobody else but the punisher can get away with calling a badguy a pussy or even a faggot.

  • Yeah, that's a good point.

I also was really amused by Jigsaw. That guy did a pretty great job.

  • I've said it before I'll say it again I want a full length film damn you haha. Although I do understand that it would cost a lot up still I can dream.

  • yeah these things are definitely not cheap to make. but hey, im totally game for accepting donations. ;)

anyhoo, i think im going to make Punisher'80. i think you guys are gonna dig it.

  • If You Don't Mind Me Asking How Much Do These Videos Usally Cost You. A Punisher '80 Would Be Awesome. A Cable, Deadpool, Or A Captian America Fan Film Would Be Cool. Is There Any Real Way You Decide On What You're Going To Make Next.

  • prices vary from film to film. you have to factor in costumes, props, locations, travel etc. i think punisher'80 would be the most easiest to do. deadpool would be more costly. like 5k or more. just because of costumes, action sequences etc. something like punisher'80 i estimate at like 500-1000.

  • It's Cool That Your Making These Movies With No Much Budget That's Not To Say 1000 Isn't A Lot Of Money Haha. But I'm Glad You Continue To Make These Movies.

  • Im just saying Punisher '79 is a waay better idea than some of the ideas they have now. Like Punisher noir or Marvel Apes.

  • thanks.

  • "Sometimes, I'd like to get my hands on God"

  • bring on the seque

    l

  • i guess i will.

  • Love the song btw :)

  • I have a feeling Marvel is gonna steal this idea

  • Of course. This has to be some of Blinky's best.

  • i will laugh my ass off if they steal this. ill be pissed as hell if they over look me as a potential director though.

  • As always your stuff is full of 100% epic win.

  • Welcome back Frank!!!

  • THAT WAS EXCELLENT!!!!!!

  • You're getting better and better with these. And the guy who played Jigsaw was really good.

  • Fuckin AMAZING!!

  • Man, the previous Punisher experience I had before this was Punisher: War Zone. And I have to say, while Ray Stevenson looked good in the role, I spent almost the entire movie wondering what the fuck was going on.

Needless to say, I like your version quite a bit better.

  • thank you. yeah warzone, was just an excuse for a bodycount.

  • Yeah, it was almost like they couldn't get enough kills or gore out of the film (the Punisher kills a guy... by punching him... seriously??!)

And then there was the unbelievably hammy portrayal of Jigsaw. Here, he seems relatively believable. In Warzone, I just couldn't stop laughing at him for most of the time (especially when he recruits gangs whilst standing in front of the American Flag).

  • yeah that recruitment scene was too over the top. i wanted to definitely ground jigsaw and make him as human as possible. thats probably why he bites the dust at the end.

  • man your descreption was good and its not hollywood it looks like hollywood made it your fan films are just on of a kind

  • Sorry to bother you just one more thing to ask. I see most of the time you put FYI THIS IS A FAN FILM I MADE, NOT HOLLYWOOD what is your reason behind this? If Im not mistaken youre a YouTube partner? Im wandering how they permit you to post some of your films up. I might be wrong in thinking you are a partner but if this is true I am wandering what you tell YouTube when you post films like these.

Oh thinks for having the time to respond Chris.

  • i post that disclaimer because sometimes people ask if this is a real film. as complimentary as it is, i dont want to keep reposting the same answers. anyhoo, yeah im a youtube partner, there isnt really any law against me posting anything as long as it isnt lewd or pornographic.

  • I was just asking about the partner thing because I was watching some information videos on the subject of becoming a YouTube partner and everyone kept repeating something like When you qualify and send a request to be a partner YouTube will check all your videos and if they find you have any videos that contain copyrighted material the videos that do will be muted of deleted from your channel as soon as you become a partner thats what Im getting at.

  • ....Was this a problem for you considering YouTubes clime of making money off your videos?

  • well, i may be a partner, but i dont act on it. i dont submit my videos for revenue share just because i dont want to runt he risk of getting something deleted. im just a partnet so i can have a thumbnails for my vids and more storage size. lol.

  • Lol nice one Chris. Thanks for all the help man. I guess YouTube is slipping on Copyright related problems. You know you really helped me man I thought I had to start making music too. Lol after all, I do mostly all of everything for my films anyways, but after directing, filming, editing and writing I just cant get my self to learn a constructed way to make professional music. But hey the current situation works for you so Im going to sit back and relax. Thanks Chris.

  • anytime pal.

  • Hey Chris 5/5 and added to my favorites. Nice fan film. I do what to ask you about something About the music are you allowed to put famous songs in this film? Is this not a copywrite violation? I mean everyone knows that the Beatles made the first song that comes up in your film Just wandering did you get the license to use the songs? Im just wandering because I have the some proble
