  • I don't think I've ever seen Eric Bloom's hair so short! Kind of a mullette. I consider this the last good song from the era.

  • what a band.....one of the best

  • great video, great track, GREAT BAND! Need i say more!

  • LOL! Sunglasses in dark :D

    Awsome song, especially solo 02:56

  • not enough cowbell.

  • laughing my arse off ....... there's an add for religious degrees showing here next to the video ............. god that's funny !!!!!!!!!! there so desperate they gotta come find boc fans to try and 'convert " us !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • On your feet or on your knees.

  • Showing the upstarts in the '80's how '70's rock is

    played.

  • @nevrgreen I got to see Aldo Nova and BOC as they toured together on the release of this album and I was hoping AN would come out and play along with BOC for this song...unfortunately that didn't happen :(

  • I just turned 30 and I inspire my make-up and clothing by these pretty 80's chicks, love the 80's !!

  • Excellent 80's hair

  • Ass kicking rock song...totally underrated.

  • This is what happens when Blue Öyster Cult copies Foreigner and Loverboy's style....And kicks their ass with it! This might be after they surrendered to the style of the 80s, but they do it better than a lot of 80s artists.

  • I loved Club Ninja as much as all their other albums. I guess I'm in the minority. Oh well. But you have to love this song, don't you? A guy that wants the aliens to abduct him. "My dream may be... your nightmare." Classic BOC poetry.

  • @thanksfernuthin This was the opening track on the 1983 lp ''REVOLUTION BY NIGHT''this song was co-written with Aldo Nova...life is just a fantasy,,

  • 1:07, I'd drive outta there damn fast too... that gas station attendant is smoking right next to the fuel pumps!!

  • I know pretty much every BOC album but I don't know this tune ... was it that Ninja thing ?

  • sunglasses at night

  • @cyberyamazaki stop questening rock stars

  • @cyberyamazaki watch?v=d_HlTGzkKeE

  • @MrChaoscontrolfreak You left out the King Of Late Night Movies...The Lizard King....GODZILLA !! This was truly a great live song back in the early 80's when they toured with the 50ft tall Godzilla with Laser Beam Eyes

  • LOOK AT THE MUSTANG>>> AHHH 80's mustang..

  • @NickFury1006

Uh, can you point out the moment with the Mustang? I see only Thunderbirds and Tempos.

  • There's a Pitbull song in my suggested songs-list...

    WHY.

    just...

    Why??!

  • Buck Dharma, never a note spilled....

  • I think my music playlist has too much BOC music.

  • @TheSilverWolfX9 There is no such thing as too much Blue Oyster Cult !! so says "the Softwhite Underbelly Society" and so say I.

  • @MrChaoscontrolfreak or a giant lizard =D

  • GOTTA LOVE THE 80's

  • WHO DIDNT LOVE THE 80 S

  • I wisk someone could tell me if thats Rosanna Arquette or not in this video?

  • @951Alpha no

  • The Gas Station Attendant smoking a cigarette, that happens in real life, too.

  • This vid woulda been way more awsomer if that chick were spirited away in a Harrier in vertical take off mode. Yeah, I know, that alone woulda blown the video's budget.

  • @MaidenUtah1 cool concept! Personally, I would have liked to see an ME-262. Check out the "Secret Treaties" album and the song "ME-262." The last part of the video reminds me of this.

  • Did ''Aldo Nova'' write this song ?

  • You guys were and are absolutely brilliant. This, to me, is your best song of all, and this video is very imaginative and interesting. I just wonder, what grade of doobie were you smoking, to come up with the concept of this video?

  • when i grow up i want a mustache.

  • Life During Wartime: A Music Guide Available online and bookstores by CosmicDarren/Multiwebweaver

  • Interesting symbology in the vid--HHHmmmm

  • NOW HOW FUCKING AWESOME IS THAT??????

OH, NO! I WANT TO LISTEN TO SELENA DEEEEEAZZZZZZZZZZ.

  • i love this intro, so amazing, the only problem is the sound quality :(

  • Back in the day when music videos were a mini-cheesy movie. :D

  • I wore out the blue oyster cult album in college in 78 or so. I think this song is one of their best. Sad it did not apparently chart well.

  • God, that chick is hot.

But... What in THE hell is that at 2:40? M or W?

  • @verminosity It was a girl. Not busty, bur definitely a girl.

  • @verminosity curled hair ftw. love retro chicks.

  • @jungleman68 -

Just don't think about what she looks like now, 28 years after this video was made. Let's see... if she was 30 yrs. old when this came out in 1983... Hmmm......

  • @verminosity

She'd still be hotter than you could get!

  • @verminosity yes

  • @verminosity It's a female without fake breasts. Kind of a novel concept these days and never seen on tv anymore.

  • @rcochran2112 lol!! I like flat chested women!! Weird, I know!! At least you know their real!!

  • @verminosity It's yer Ma!

  • @verminosity i think it's Juliette Lewis!! Lol!

  • i only added this comment because there were 666 comments and i had to break this! lol

  • Cheezy, but I still love it. The lead singer is the most unlikely looking rock star I've ever seen but it works for him. Great voice. Great frick'n guitarist. Now I'm off to check out my other fav song Godzilla.

  • i think you'll find ellen foley is a gemini, therefore not a candidate. :)))))

  • To all of you who think the woman in the video is Roseanne Arquette - I don't think so. I'd say it's singer/stage actress Ellen Foley. Ellen sang background vocals with BOC during the early 80s. Watch some of her videos on youtube, then look at this woman again. I think it's the same women. She has the looks and she was connected with the band during the period of this recording.

  • This is so cool! Girl at 2:46 looks like Cherie Currie!

  • Aldo Nova co-wrote w/E Bloom, I think

  • Heard that ''Aldo Nova'' actually wrote this tune....Anyone comfirm this ?

  • This could not be more awesome.

  • @Battleaxx007

No way, this is mega-awesome! But it was also awesome seeing them play three performances back to back (Same day) at Great adventure in MO., back in 85. And the narration Eric did when the light was 'beaming him up.' =D

  • was that joe piscipoe as the gas station attendant?!

  • ASTRONOMY..

"Hey..That's canine profile. And I don't appreciate it" WOOF."

Tell me why I see the stars...

    .

  • saw her naked yesterday :-) in the film ' nowhere to run '.

  • awesome retro stuff.great tune

  • i think that means, she is a lady.

  • BLUE OYSTER CULT---''TAKE ME AWAY''

  • 19 people get homesick too easily

  • what a sick riff.

  • dude smoking a cig at the pump.. lol..

  • @havanabar hes badass like that

  • I just noticed that he's got an Apple II c or e at the beginning.

  • Blue and Red Katchinas in this video! Coincidence? Maybe. This was Back in My Days. Back when Music Videos were the sh*t! Thanks for puttin it out there! Peace! Nick

  • Everyone's life but the faggots' would be really sad without Rock... this is great stuff indeed.

  • Coincidentally I was listening to this song when I got my first DWI.

  • Comment removed

  • boc the rock&roll laxative....they are great!!!

  • I am trying to find out what the name of the girl is in this video, i am talking about the pretty blond - i have looked and looked online, i would like to see if she ever did any other work in tv or movies? If you know her name please let me know.

  • @951Alpha

she is rosanna arquette, and she's a Leo

  • BOC is the reason I got interested in 70s. Classic.

  • LOL @ the Apple II playing Defender. Gawd...I've been a geek all my life!

  • FUCK yes

  • anyone ever seen the stoned age? lol if you have the dvd, they play a cameo at the end, just a little trivia

  • \m/\m/

    19 ppl suck dick

  • \m/\m/

  • Great, now I'm extremely high. Thanks a fucking pantload Blue Oyster Cult.

  • The B.O.C. are still touring in the USA, shame they don't make a trip over the pond to the UK as they are quite simply a superb band.

  • @Jools247 i agree with you even though im in the us and im a selfish hoe. they did start out over there, after all.

  • Wont play on ipad? WTF???

  • love it

  • Thanks videoguy for bringing this one out of the attic. I appreciate the oldschool rock n roll. Keep up the good work. I'll put it with my other ufo space related favorite videos. Peace!

  • me 262!

  • @MidnightRambler73 You mean the Yellow car?? That's a FORD Thunderbird, about a 1984 model.

  • I photographed the Cult when they toured with T Rex in 74. To see the shots go to ianmarkmusicphotos (.com)

  • @mrianmark so there's 2 respectable Cult reigns... Blue Oyster Cult from the early 70s until the early 80s... then The Cult from mid 80s to mid 90s... and now it's over...there's not even another good cult since more than 15 years... maybe i should form a band...and call it "Plastic Cult " (as i'm a diehard Greenpeace loyalist)

  • Did the lead girl in this video also play Suzie in the vid of "The Marshall Plan"? Not only that, there's a brief cameo from somebody who is a ringer for Patti Smith, and we have Allen Lanier and one other doing a "Blues Brothers" reprise.. and the mad monks from Fire of Unknown Origin!

  • Did the lead girl in this video also play Suzie in the vid of "The Marshall Plan"?

  • Just got into this band thanx to Ghost Opus Eponymous, And i fukn love Blue Oyster Cult now, I always like the Song Dont Fear The Reaper and only just found out it was Blue Oyster Cult, IM 23 so i hope the band comes To Australia, so i can see some Legendary Rock and Roll, That still rocks.

  • Probably the best band that didn't make it. I mean, they made it, in my mind and others. But the guys should be on top saleswise like Zep, Aerosmith, Springsteen (ugh) and many others. Most with a fingerfull of the talent these guys had.

  • @dtw576 yes, they were really great. One of the most underrated bands ever, together with Saxon.

  • @asgardthor123 Saxon !? nat a bad choice but i hardly listen to their music after their "Power and the Glory"

  • damn, im addicted. i cant seem to stop listening to BOC over the past month.

  • @RustyShacklefeird It means you're getting better. ;)

  • 18 people think this needs more cowbell

  • I just dont understand why this tune got so little airtime..you only hear 2 to 3 BOC tunes on the radio these days and this one sure as hell isn't one of them.

  • @ricovico123 ric you have to understand the history of music. I n the 60 s and early 70 s all there was was AM radio and they played the "POP" bullsxit top 40. Then you had "underground" FM stations who played Zappa..entire LP s at the same time like Allman Bros Foghat, Cult and so forth...This led to two tyypes of listeners, the top 40 junk for casual listeners and the hard core REAL music that Stoners listened to all night long

  • Wow, the hair alone! Not to mention the SpecialFX o_o But Srsly, BOC logo Earing rocks ;D

  • You're gonna regret sayin take me away when the aliens use the "Probulator 3000 on you!!!

  • I always found it kind of funny how Eric Bloom of B.O.C and Jeff Lynne of E.L.O sort of resemble each other, just in the face, not the songs. They both are awesome singers though, just different types of music. I've jammed to both bands since the mid 70's

  • @The77surfer LMFAO Ive been saying that also how funny but they were both awesome frontmen to there bands!!!!!!!

  • When I hear BOC I think of my teen years drinking crown royal and Riding Norton commandos .... wow what good times I had ... Great band take me away..

  • BOC is out of this world...awesome.

  • BOC must have know how campy this video was, even in the '90's! Now Lady Gaga is probably laughing at her audience, too. Many of those scenes with all the coils and transformers reminds me of the inside of a 250 kW broadcast transmitter from the 1950's.

  • I have no problem embracing the ROCK of the 2000's, only problem is there is NONE. So TAKE ME AWAY.

  • Reservoir Dogs?!?

  • So that's where Chuck Norris got his beard from :P

  • LADIES AND GENTLEMEN...BLUUUE OYYYSTER CUUULLLT !!! (BOC is and always will be the Kings of Rock - God Bless the Black-N-Blue tour)

  • Long time BOC fan. Bottom line, good rock is hard to find. Thank God groups like this still hold high standards for the rockers!!!!!

  • BOC RULES.

  • @9evilnine9 hey bucco I'm a kid well 19 but still I love this stuff and metal woot but yea love 80s rock and crap cause I mean that's what influences a lot of metal and such

  • i just found out that thats my aunt in the video

  • @SteveMag17 your aunt used to be one hot piece of ass

  • @SteveMag17 cool for u, and her

  • @SteveMag17 no shit?

  • @SteveMag17

Just found out that is my wife's cousin.....

  • @SteveMag17 She was HOT!!!!

  • @SteveMag17 Is she the blonde?

  • @SteveMag17 Your aunt's hot.

  • @SteveMag17 Your Aunty is awesome.

  • @SteveMag17 Haha, you got to show your aunt all of the fan comments x)

PS: Your aunt really is hot

  • @SteveMag17 Got her number 20 years ago?

  • @SteveMag17 We all love your aunt!

  • @SteveMag17 If so mack it up lol

  • @SteveMag17 Your aunt's awesome!

  • Comment removed

  • @SteveMag17 Your aunt was a hottie in 1983. That's pretty cool seeing your aunt in a music video.

  • Respond to this video... The only problem I have with this video, is "How many times do you pull up to get gas, and the gas station attendant has a lit cigarette in his mouth, and a gas hose in his hands" haha!!

  • sure beats that fefe cunt bumpin bullshit haha

  • 18 kids who have never heard real music dislike this!

  • I hear ya brother, kids these days don't know what good music is,they listen to crap artists created by the music industry, often without musicians where the music is electronic no talent required other than vocals and 90% of that is questionable with autotune!

    BOC rocks!

  • Whatever happen to the guys in black ?? we could really use them now, no raelly.....

  • That chick is HOT !

  • Damn....BOC still give me goose bumps after all these years...for those whom may tell me to get a life, I've already had mine and I don't regret a fukin minute.

  • @Dogface276 hell yea i agree people always sayn that shit to me to!BOC rocks and always will.Peace!

  • smoking by a gas pump sooo eighties!!!!!

  • Hehehee.. -80´s, so funny. Wish i could go back and listen to the music all over again.

  • @KiddJetix The video sound is poor quality, and the song does kick ass in Stereo, and it is sad that rock music has gone to a newer level since the 70's and 80's.

  • What rock is all about - Thank You BOC!!!

  • APPLE ][

  • SLICK! STELLAR PRODUCTION!

  • ^The band and song are awesome.. but the video is kinda the suck

  • chronic faggotry ? Im not even sure what that is but i think i have to agree with that !!

  • And at that faggotry can mean 'over theatrical' as said webster. and even more mind boggeling isnt ancestors your past lives rellies??? And as a faggot would u not ever bear any offspring??? no more words.....

  • @fligemon sorry man, it seems we get bombing at each other when you have all these commentaries from other sources responding, I just dont like the word faggotry used in regards to a very excellent BOC viddy skid..........

  • I wonder if this guy was pals with Whitley Strieber..

  • Boc's 80's output is plauged by that suck ass 80's sound! Why did they do that to their music! Good songs ruined by trying to be "contemporary" w/ cheesy synths, limpass drum sound and phony 'new wave' production! Man I hate the 80's!! sound, bleah!!

  • @kc12112 You can thank Aldo Nova for the 80s sound on this song. Actually I never heard this until the 90s. Although I agree with you for the most part, the song actually works for me. And I go back to the release of "Secret Treaties" with BOC.

  • @fligemon I remember them being criticisized for this song. I believe they said that the band was looking for a hit so they brought on Aldo Nova. Whatever the reason I freakin' have always loved this song. It was on heavy rotation on KMET and KLOS back here in Los Angeles.

  • I wouldnt make any reference to faggotry to this 40 plus running band ,ur an idiot if u do not understand the amazing blue oyster cult....and at that they probably already have more offspring than u could ever dream of bringing up...

  • @bocno1fan I love BOC but I sure don't like asswipes like yourself who can't READ AND COMPREHEND the quotes of others before making troll like comments. Get the dick out of your mouth and you will see, think and feel better...........

  • @getchasumm Not,,,,,,,,,

  • since 1980 I'm waiting my membership TO ENTER THE BLUE OYSTER CULT!!!

  • Whoever disliked this video will die of chronic faggotry, just like their ancestors.

  • @aocidicoa LMAO, good one!!

  • @aocidicoa Those with chronic faggotry will leave no ancestors..........

  • @aocidicoa Epic comment, just like this epic fucking video/song.

  • @aocidicoa Chronic Faggotry.. wow. You sir, are an idiot.

  • @dragonmekill ZOMG UR SO RANDUMMM AND WITTY

  • @aocidicoa Oh hoo!!!! Clever!!!!

  • @aocidicoa do you watch joe rogan

  • @Disposition446 I think I've seen some of his stand-up but no, not really.

  • @aocidicoa Oh he frequently uses the word faggotry lol

  • Folks, the Metallica branch of the RnR tree found an audience and no matter what you may think about Hetfield or Ulrich, their presence is wide and deep. I grew up, on Zep and Sabbath and Deep Purple and was fascinated by "Working Man" when Rush burst out in spring 74. The true enemy is music that exists only to be hyped and milked for money. Anybody ever hear of Phil Keaggy? Hendrix acknowledged him as a better guitar talent: he became a devout Christian and turned his back on Big Music
