  • To covstudent thank you for the video. I think they had wonderful pointers. I like how they talked about the emotional support. It is very vital that you have emotional support with your family, friends and others. With the support of others you will succeed at becoming a nurse. Going through something simular in an accelerated program I realized how important it is to have others by your side.

  • I think this is a BAD advert for being a nursing/midwifery student. I started uni to be a midwife this sept...I wasnt 100% certain if I wanted to do it, and I'm glad I chose it. All the nurses I live with are the same. Also, most of these people are older. Surely you want to encourage younger students, because of the whole nurse/midwife issue atm. Also, finances - my family are VERY poor, and cant help me, yet I'm forcing myself to cope.

  • @Clairbear2007 - I see what you mean. But I think this was excellent. Real not just saying it's all great. All the best in your course x

  • @Clairbear2007 - I understand what your saying, it could put a lot of younger people wanting to do nursing off. I was a student nurse back in 2004, but i dropped out near the end of my first year due to finances, the stress of having to find the money to pay your next bill or debt, really isn't what you want when your trying to study nursing or midwifery. Also you need to push yourself to study hard, not out partying all the time. I think the advice given is very helpful and true.

    Good luck!
