When i am in the raid, should i send my pet in or have him stick by me? Not sure if it's the same (hunters and locks) but i wanna know. Again, nice vid and grats on the down.

a guildies and i were assigned to tank the shaman. we both are hunter ofc. we're MM hunter and we manage to take him down to 25 % before the others joined in to kill him.
tbh, at that time we were not wearing tanking gear and only dps gear. a healer was assigned to heal only us. at that time i dont have a lot of NR. only druid buff + aspect.
Don't need a robot rotation to top DPS charts or a crappy cast seq. macro button to spam. As for my pet, I benifit more by having him next to me with Focused Fire and his Furious Howl
only reason youre top DPS when playing like this is your guild buddies are worse than you... it was proved many times using (as you called it robotic) steady shot rotation is most mana efficient and damage dealing thing you can do as hunter... btw. so spaming frostbolt/fireball/backstab/curses not robotic behavior? its how the game works.
now you say furious howl is good... i dont see anything good in ~50 more dmg every ten second when your pet can do 10x with one kill command (at least), second when you train avoidance and turn off growl its almost impossible to die from mobs, so as i said before... not using pet in raids/instances = fail
and last one thing BM>ALL... BM is new raiding spec - deal with it
Gort, your an idiot if you think BM is the ONLY raiding spec. I know how to "play hunter" very well & really don't care what you think. I'm the MM hunter in MY guild becuase I'm very good at it, pretty easy concept. I match (and/or do more) DPS with all the BM hunters in my guild and smoke their asses when their pets die. That's the difference, I need me to do my DPS, not my pet. That's just a bonus when and if I feel like using it

Yes, BM does out-perform in almost all instances... But if you don't have a hunter with hawk eye, then there will be no MD pull, making the pull almost impossible. It isn't a bad idea to have a MM hunter for this fight, since most BM hunters won't have hawk eye as the cookie cutter BM raid build doesn't include it.
I have around 358, which includes Aspect of the Wild being turned on. The gear is a mix of cloth, leather and mail, all having high STA and high NR. If your building a set for this fight I would shoot for 325-350 NR.

Darren: There are 5 boss type mobs for the Maulgar fight. Kill order : Priest > Warlock > Mage > Shaman > Maulgar
How we do it, at the start all DPS kills the Priest. A mage tanks the mage. Two hunters tank the Shaman in full NR gear, We had two locks enslaving the felhounds to tank the warlock (tkx Pulp)
After Priest dies, melee DPS goes to the Warlock, then to Maulgar. All ranged DPS kill Mage, then Shaman, last Maulgar.
You almost had it right up until you said krosh firehand's fireballs are effected by FR, which they arent, and the part where a tank tanks the warlock.. which he doesmt, the warlocks enslave one of the elites felhounds and tank him with them.
Quite nice you use your mouse to use EVERYTHING.. lol

As a warlock you probably won't be using a pet, your raid will most likely get you to enslave one of the fel stalker's and send it on the summoner.

although tmy guild downed them so fast HKM couldnt even ping pong around the room.. i think the combat timer ended around 3 mins 30 sec..
