this review got it wrong. this story is not about absentee father but about the untold story of the heartbreaking struggle and pain a man has to go thru just to be a father. It's sad black men a rarely recognize for their accomplishments and unfairly ridiculed by society. But there are a lot of father's not just black that are not ending up with this story book ending that is portrayed in this movie. But this movie is great and it still gives me a gleamer of hope.
