Americans copy the british harrier and note that this has no missiles and cant i say cant carry them cos its shit all it has is a cannon you can do shit all with this plane
Australia has placed an order for 100 of these, And all our military experts are claiming its a waste of cash but the politicians have taken the decicion away from the military and is proceeding with the deal, no doubt they are protecting thier "kickbacks" from Lockheed. Its claimed we will lose air coverage with these inferior craft.
SI vieron el ovni que aparece en la parte superior de izquierda a derecha en el 2:24 y desaparece si no desapareciera pensaría que es un avion wow XD....
3D or unmanned STV rejection fast-talk may cost some their program and job: E.g., the LAVI fighter. The 1st in aviation history flights of Stealth, Tailless 3D Vectoring [STV] with mini aero-control, stealth inlets/wing-body design took place in Israel in 1987 [May 18, 1987, Aviation Week]. Unclassified video in Facebook ["Benjamin Gal-Or"] explains sub/supersonic agility/safety gained by STV. EF, f35/f22 are not STV while unmanned NGB or ??? may be. Cf. X-44MANTA, X-47b, RQ-170, T-50, B-2.
@slapyousilly3 I think that the emphasis was more on vertical landing and not take off. The fuel consumption for vertical take off would be huge I assume. It does say STOVL, meaning Standard Take Off Vertical Landing.
@drumbasher Short take off and vertical landing. Not standard. You saw the Engine was partly vectored down on take off, and the lift enhancing transformer looking parts were fully out! Thats not how a Standard Take of or carrier take off F35C or A would look.
@MrAytug Its not a UFO,n a second later you can see a black spot on the other side of the screen, What you are seeing is the chase plane filming it from the air. and circling around. The video jumps to that planes view a lot. 1:22 shows you a view from that plane.
I was so sad that Boeing didn't win. They made a better aircraft, but skunkwork's dependability paid off. Boeing's craft could come to a full stop, do a 180, and be back at Mac 1 in 20 seconds flat!!!
The Boeing X-32 has major design flaws. It suffers from the problem of hot air from the exhaust circulating back to the main engine, which causes the thrust to weaken and the engine to overheat. The original delta wing design had to be changed several times
to meet manoeuvrability and payload requirements. Even so it had less payload and shorter range then X-35.
Yeah, I remember on one documentary video where Boeing didn't have their design finalized until almost the last minute. They even had a "back up" model in case the first one didn't work.
You're right about the exhaust. On one of their vertical liftoff tests, the engine got clogged up in a few feet off the ground, choked and died! From what I remember, someone thought it was a good idea to take some parts off to make it lighter! Yeah, that test cost em points...
Not sure, probably the first time a jet plane ever landed from vertical flight like a harrier can take off. Amazing when you think about how difficult that is. One day, I would assume, most military jets will take off and land like this.
lol u think this ones ugly? u should of seen the one that boeing was going to make, see lockheed martin and boeing were competing to see who would get to build the jsf, each company made a prototype and lockeed won, i know all this cuz my dad actually worked on this plane.
When do we get to see the first crash videos? You're a little bit heartless for a thirteen year old aren't you? When do we get to see the videos of you getting your teeth kicked in by a girl?
nice video lmao (watchthink) "any kid in Afganistan will put it down with a rock" lmao yeah rite more like the jsf will blow the kid up before he blows it up
i thought it to, but this is just 1/2 of su37... i can see that americans jus show off but russians DO... i didnt se no american aircraft doing 720 degreez turns in one place... if ill see then it will be good aircraft
any kid in Afganistan will put it down with a rock, but technologically this is a superb aircraft, Leonardo will be thrilled if he could see it and Schwarzenegger would love to have it to smash police cars
Gawd Dayyuumm =P There has to be like 305723852378905238 miles of wiring to get that thing moving...i mean, you gotta control the engines, controls, electronics, fan position, lifting fan, and a bunch of other stuff...that thing is gonna be a total punch to the US if it doesnt do well...
Are you retarded? Why in the hell would it be landing if there are enemy fighters around? Who are you and why are you trying to talk about something you clearly know nothing about? And there is no way that enemy anything gets close enough to this aircraft's base without being shot to hell by SAM and flak, not to mention scrambled interceptors. And it can afford to land slowly when it can land in places where no other airplane can even think about touching down.
Britain was developing a fast, heavier VTOL fighter but it was cancelled by the government because of high costs. The Harrier was a lighter sub-sonic version with lower costs. The JSF is basically what Britain was doing 40 years ago but of course is far superior because of 40 added years of technology.
It is shown doing a short take off, but naturally it can take off vertically. Plenty of vids out there of that. It can also stop flying at altitude and hover... which means balls all for combat, but is interesting.
The Harrior wasn't the first VTOL fighter, but the first practical one to go into production. The US had one in the '50's but cancelled the program, sat on it's tail and used a powerful turboprop. The Harrior was brilliant for it's time, the '60s, '70s, '80s, 90s, wow. The marine corp upgrade, the AV-8B+ really upped the odds with its F-18 radar and ability to carry the AMRAAM, it's 25mm gatling, etc. There was some research into a supersonic Harrier but would push up the cost too much.
there goes your welfare and health care, dudes. i'm sure you'll hate the jetplanes when it comes to be someone you know who couldn't pay for an uncovered but critical surgery.
Common fellers- If the US and the UK don't keep workin so dang hard at makin bigger and better machines fer killin useless anal orfices of the world, who in the god dang world will?

I get kind of hacked off at some of my fellow Brits adding comments along the lines of; "..the Harrier is better.." or; "..we did it first..", time marches on, and FYI, the UK is the number 1 Allied partner in this project, to the tune of £2 Billion and a lot of our expertise.
You're right, hundreds of thousands of innocent people would still be alive, including the Jews who had to suffer through the homosexual german leaders "cleansing" crap.
Amazing Tech, Yes bigboybri the harrier did do that 30 yrs ago. But the JSF is stealth, and could take on 4 harriers at one time, and destory all of them, and the other pilots would have never seen it comming.

It's a shame it's going to be used in America's future wars of Empire building. Billions will lose their lives.

The removal of parts was because the X-32 couldn't go from STOVL to supersonic without being physically altered on the ground.

Yes im sure a kid can throw fast enough and with enough projectory to hit the F-35 with a rock.

Who said we said STOVL was new!?
1. It's jumpjet. Not junkjet. Dumbass.
2. Britian is our #1 partner in the JSF program.
3. The harrier is old. It's structurally old, it's technology is old. It's extremely visable on radar.
4. JSF is stealth.
5. JSF can take out multiple targets, including your junkjet, without even trying.
6. JSF will eventually replace your precious junkjet.
