  • I am playing this currently...i only hope to sound as good as Hilary

  • i like clasic music i am a music writting.Somebody want clasic music? Question me

  • Thank you, Hilary. Thank you. A little bit of God on Earth.

  • @thatbluebird57 hillary, she had a better sound and interpretation. That's what I think anyway...

  • compared to venessa mae, who do YOU think won?

  • fantastic

  • Absolutely beautiful!

  • "If there's a god" lol

  • mesmarized....they say sound travels really fast and the sound of this piece made me hit the like button in less than a second!!

  • I love U Hilary!!!!! :-)

  • awesome!!!!

  • Bach was a genius to even be able to compose something like this.

  • Certified Intergalactic! Looks like she has a built-in metronome.

  • Great, Ophelia, really great!

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • Perhaps the best version out there. I especially love how she is able to keep us on track with the pulse throughout the two major hemiola sections (0:25 and even more incredibly at 1:38) by a very slightly longer bow on every few large beats.

  • @GMElias2863 the sections you mention are one of the most intriguing aspects of this mvt. Technically they are not hemiolas; what happens in all the performances is a shift of 3 16th notes in the perception of the beat, because the bass is heard stronger and it feels natural to play it that way. Not sure Bach wanted it. I tried to fight this tendency when practicing it, but I can't help it :( I heard a couple of players who were able to keep the meter the way it's written, sounds awesome too :)

  • @daniluzzu I agree. I remember looking at this piece (back when I played violin more seriously) and thought that this was one of the more beautifully written sections. What I find remarkable is the way in which Hahn brings out the melody (hemiola), even taking a little time to reset the pulse so that we, as listeners, know where we are. I haven't found anyone who is as clear about the two aspects of this hemiola as this performance is. Bach would love this! GL in your own practice:)

  • totally agree...if there is a God,the it is she...:-)

  • ★★★★★★★

  • @DiexSchwarzexGeige It is not terribly fast, I think.

  • she can play without even moving! wow

  • @Djangolulu LMMMFFFFAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOO HAHAHHAHAHA

  • i woulndt want her to strip for me, i would want her to play bach

  • @jadziaworfdax why not take in two of life's greatest joys at once :)

  • Wonderful music!

This is beautiful. 5 stars ★★★★★

    Brava complimenti.

    Erika Ragazzi

  • Perfection

  • BRAVOOO

  • I like this tempo, the ending of this piece ALWAYS makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck, beautiful.

  • thanks

  • this is not that fast compared to milstein's rendition. yet, both are played perfectly.

  • perfect

  • BWV 1006 is very beautiful. I have commend Hilary Hahn on her interpretation for this piece. She is able to project the melody as well as being able to keep the accompaniment notes to a lower dynamic such as 00:27 to 00:42. It is noticeable faster than the original tempo, but that can be sacrificed because of her clarity, dynamics (Flowing Forte at 1:20, amazing crescendos at 1:26, diminuendos at 1:05 and 1:18) There's many personal and fitting interpretations that Hilary Hahn does. New fan here

  • and i thought i could play this... O.O

  • @JasonMenonOfficial loooooooooooool

  • So precise, and clear... O.O Nice.

  • @DiexSchwarzexGeige... if you think this is fast, you should listen to Milstein! But I do love Hilary's playing of this also! :)

  • brava, very good *****

  • I LOVE HILARY HAHN

    I LOVE HER SO MUCH

    SOOOOO MUCH

    T - T

  • NO one plays back like Hilary plays Bach...amazing, transfixing. It was exhausting sitting in the audience for her Partita No. 1

  • Magnificent ^^ Sound of an an Angel:)

  • If only there is an album of her playing all these partitas

  • @Mrphe3000 their actually is on itunes... its called "Hillary Hahn plays Bach"

  • @runeer :)

  • bravissimo!!!

  • @cvrlle86

    n___n

  • very good quality. my headphones are not bored or even angry like most of the time with youtube-videos.

  • @aenemalateralis

    je thanks >.<

  • she plays it too fast... misses out on a few things :/ good i guess though

  • @emonroe14 she doesn't play it too fast (: she plays it just right. :]

  • Indeed, the sound we would all like to have while playing this start of the Bach 3rd Partita. That Bach could not just play these, but actually compose them for himself, and that Hilary finds such depths in this piece...

  • @pinchetele

    =)

  • Brilliant recording!

  • @00chebbie00

    ;D

  • The last part of this song always gives me chills!

  • @xXJohnnymac16Xx

    es hermoza :)

  • If there's a God then this is his music. Lovely playing.

  • @pobinr

    =3 LINDO

  • @pobinr what do you mean "if there is a god"?

  • @oOoOMEGAMIOoOo If you think otherwise then please give supporting evidence to support the existence of a loving caring omnipresent father figure. I see no evidence whatsoever for the existence such being any more than I can see evidence for the existence of the tooth fairy.

  • @oOoOMEGAMIOoOo well there's no need for proof when he's been on earth a long time already

  • @pobinr what are you talking about, ofcourse God is existing :O

  • definitly my favourite interpretation... really clean and she really shows what bach wanted.... hilary hahn plus bach = GOD!

  • @eduardorios95

cierto, también es de mis interpretaciones favoritas :)

  • @opheliackirsche13 woow hermosa composicion!!

  • @eduardorios95 : Absolute rubbish ! No human being can be equated withn Almighty God !

  • @eduardorios95 The playing style at Bach's time was completely different.... Bach probably would have slapped her...

  • @enilrebmun ORLY? Look kiddo. How people played back then =/= what Bach had in mind. Bach's concept of sound was far beyond his period, and sometimes only modern instruments can bring a side of his real genius to fruition. For instance, the piano offers dynamics and suspension that the harpsichord cannot. Same can be said for playing style.

  • @eduardorios95 BacHahnal de Idolecentes!

  • love, life, death everything going in second

  • @reqon444

ooooooooooooooo¡¡¡ jeejje :D thanks for you coment
