Just to train up my weapon skills (and unarmed), I used to pick a weapon shoppe with just the right layout (needs to be one with a shelf right next to the entrance, but separated from it by a thin, narrow section of wall), fail ten or twelve theft attempts to let the guards stack up, and then just chop them up like cilantro, with complete impunity--even at point blank range and within reach, without line of sight, they can't swing, arrest, or even make contact to tarnish your reputation!!

That's weird you died as soon as you got released. If that happens, it's usually after I get a message saying "You collapse to the ground and you are easy prey to monsters that roam around" When I got banished, they just left me with 1 point of Health left.

Let me tell you a story...back in winter of 2007, I encountered a bootlegged copy of Daggerfall posted by a fellow youtuber (dude-or something like that)...I then consulted BoilerPlate and discovered that he hosted the game briefly for Dude.

Dude, proceeding to host the copy, bootlegged it onto megaupload or a similar sight.

I came across it and (having already owned the game on CD-ROM) salvaged the savefiles.

Thus concludes my brief, yet informative tale.

when they say 2 weeks of real time, they mean do not use the auto travel at all. you just travel to the next town by foot/horse/cart. I did that and ran out of stamina then rest but at night a daedra and a werewolf chase after me. Werewolf move fast. Not like this city knights in the video where u can outrun them.

Yeah, i have already found a way to stabilize the game (that is-before I purchased it for a substantial sum of money), by moving it to the correct directory and re-creating the batch files. As for your main quest problem...you won't, it is theoretically impossible to complete without the dag213 patch...

Ok, that clears things up. From the wya you phrased your first response, it sounded like you were telling me I had an unpatched, pirated version. I run the 213 version, and never, ever have problems...for 10 years. The problem is, with Vanissa, the last quest to obtain the totem never triggered. No one seems to know why. Though I could have screwed up my faction rating with someone. I misnderstood and thought you were faulting Vanissa's quest bug on me not having the patch or a legal version.
