Man! I can only say that if the greatest Duo Jordan & Pippen both were in good condition, they can defeat any team even without the other excellent role players such as Dennis or Kukoc!...
I m amazed by how good the bulls were. At that year, they did not have the service from Rodman, and look at the oppponent, Knicks : Ewing, Charles O, LJ, A houston, Starks...These 5 were stars, and yet bulls found way to beat them.
1:59 I wish I could have heard that conversation lol.Whatever Larry Johnson said set Pippen off. Hindsight is 20/20. LJ should have kept his mouth shut.
The bulls at their best, nothing to play for, don't think there was another team hovering around the 69 win mark for them to compete against, they just wanted to beat the Knicks in a close one so they did. As far as Jordan & Pippen defensively, Jordan's intensity surely rubbed off on Pippen in his early years. And maybe over time Pippen learned to focus his angst playing second fiddle to the great one on offense year after year into being a beast on defense because he absolutely was.
I LOVED this game. Through three quarters Phil Jackson breaks the triangle and just lets Pippen defecate on Larry Johnson. After three quarters of utter defecation MJ goes off in the 4th. At the end of the game poor LJ was just a 6'8 piece of human exrement.
I remember when pippen almost reach the finals with the portland trailblazers , i was so mad with the lakers , as always the refs give the lakers the win ...
watch Pippen closely from 0:18 to 0:26; he dabs Ewing, snubs LJ, then daps Oakley; similar to Jordan refusing to shake Mourning's hand before Game 5 of the playoffs that year
im glad 2 see that ppl kno that pippen was such a huge contribution to the bulls winning 6. i dont think ppl realize how much energy u save when u dont have to play d against top notch players. when jordan was playing, there were not that many top notch offensive perimeter players. it was a big man's league. and the few good perimeter players there were scottie guarded them AND there were hardly any perimter players standing 6'8 or more who could shoot the ball or take u off the dribble.
"when jordan played, there weren't that many top notch offensive perimeter players"
The ignorant arrogance of U YouTube kids is unreal. U sound like a goddamn idiot!

i think the pippen-jordan debate is too close to call. but the point that pippen could guard more positions is fact. whether jordan could or couldn't didn't matter b/c pippen always did. he got the assignment, which freed jordan up on offense.
Damn @ 4:17. You could tell Pippen was busting NY's ass when they send three guys at him even with Jordan on the floor lol.
Stan Van Gundy had to hate Jordan and Pippen fucking him over time and time again. Jordan smiling at the Knicks down the stretch in the 4th qtr is just insulting. It's like "here we go again" lol. He made it look so routine.
yeah this was the day i stopped liking LJ....if anyone said anything bad about pip, i autmatically stopped liking them because pip was my fav of all time...
larry johnson couldn't compare to any skill that pip possesed...pip didn't have any weaknesses...LJ had plenty....pip wil be in da hall of fame next year while LJ will be looking at TV watching thinking about how scottie became a hall of famer....by doggin guys like LJ....LJ is forgotten...Pippen will always be remmebered....peace
I feel the same as you. Pippen is just too good. In my opinion he was second to MJ in the league in terms of the best player for all those years since the championship years.. and then when Michael jordan left, Scottie was the best in my opinion. Others were miles away. If anyone says anything bad about Pip, just like MJ, i disagree.. Pip played possessed like MJ..
owh yeah, guys who are not old enough don't realize that pip was like a cornerback in basketball, his defense was better than jordan's because he was stronger, bigger and taller....he always held the highest scorer, phil jackson even said that....he could have easily averaged over 30 points a game, but he chose not to...that alone is why he was da best....he got people involved...peace
MJ won the DPOY, Steals Title & led ALL SG's in blocks in the SAME season! Not to mention havin' back 2 back seasons of 200+ steals & 100+ blocks. In '87, MJ had more blocks that 10 STARTING centers!
This during the yrs, B4 Pip became the defender he LATER did! Let's keep perspective here.
He didn't become the defensive wiz he later became, until around '91. MJ did it from DAY 1! MJ LED chicago in steals & blocks in the SAME season, 5 TIMES! Pip NEVER did that!
Defensive Ratings are based on the # of pts allowed per 100 possessions. MJ's defensive rating is QUITE a bit better.
Like I said, I LOVE Pippen & YES, he was a BEAST on defense, but lets keep perspective here. Not only did the Bulls take their cue from MJ offensively, but defensively as well because like I said, MJ was rackin' up AWESOME defensive awards/accolades/ratings, etc., during the yrs B4 Pippen developed..
go back and see pip's stats, pip lead the bull in points, rebounds, assists, steals in '94....he was the 2nd player at that time to ever lead his team in every major statistical category at that time..before him was dave cowens....plus pip always held the higest scorer on the team...this is a fact....even mikey and phil said so....in their first championship mikey held magic in da 1st game and magic dogged mikey...phil made pip guard magic the rest of the series and they never lost after that.
Defensive ratings don't begin to measure a player's overall defensive presence. Jordan was a great defender but Pippen was the overall better defender. He was not only a great perimeter (and post) defender but he did things that don't show up on the stat sheet like sacrificing his body to take charges (something Jordan RARELY did). The clutch steal on Larry Johnson at the end of the game was no fluke. Pippen ALWAYS did shit like that. His post defense was awesome.
The proof is what I saw with my own two eyes. Pippen not only defended the best perimeter offensive players he defended the post as well. When did Jordan ever have to switch defensive assignments and suddenly guard players like Barkley, Webber or LJ in the post? Pippen had that versatility to be anywhere on the floor and hold his own. MJ didn't, plain and simple. I can't remember the last time Jordan even tried taking a charge to cover a teammate's ass. Pippen did it routinely.
Bullshit son lol. You're spewing nothing but bullshit. Pippen was always on Derrick Mckey and I know for a fact Jordan was NEVER asked to guard Anthony Mason. What the fuck drugs are you on? The reason you can't respond to what I said is because your stupid ass knows it's the truth lol. Hell, there's clips on Youtube of Pippen guarding (and shutting down) Barkley, shutting down LJ on the Hornets. Where's your proof of Jordan guarding any of those guys you mentioned?
all people see is mike because the media (i work in the media by the way in houston) pumped him up so much that the world fell in love with him...but pi's stats dont tell lies, the guy was good and next season, like mikey, he will be in the hall of fame...
i got mad love for pip....for he was the reason why i picked up a basketball in the first place...i never became a b-ball player, i am a radio producer now, but i know one thing, pip was the purest b-ball player in his era....god bless.
@mazaratialbum You guys are morons! Scottie was great but he only became great under Jordan! Jordan took the bumps and bruises for that team when Scottie would go chicken from the physical abuse and claim he had a migraine! Did you not witness these games between the Knicks and the Pistons how it was Michael that fought through these guys while Scottie played side kick. Oh Scottie was a great player he could do just about everything but Michael did the same things and he did it better and longer
@mazaratialbum You talk about Michael like he was a media creation! Michael led the league in steals 3 times, Defensive Player of the Year, Scottie was on that team when Michael did that, led the league in scoring 6 years straight and 10 times all together Scottie was on the team when Michael did that. Michael average 6 boards a game, 5 assist and 2.5 steals. The greatest guard post player ever! Mr. Clutch. Scottie got his credit but he was no Michael his stat's can't compare to Mike's
Respond to this video...Who was the clutch player on that team when the team needed to win, not when they were ahead but who brought them back from defeat- Michael! Who stole the ball in Portland to win that championship in the final seconds Michael, Who stole the ball against Utah in the final seconds to win that Championship it was Michael, who took the final shot winning their last Championship in a one on one scenario after stealing the ball it was Michael! Michael Jordan Mr Clutch
@vincespell People like to gloss over Pippen's contributions to Chicago's titles. It was Pippen and the bench that lead the Bulls back from that 15 point deficit against Portland with Jordan cheerleading on the bench. It was Pippen hitting daggers down the stretch to close out the Knicks in the '93 ECF while Jordan shot blanks. It was Pippen putting in daggers against the Pacers in Game 7 '98 ECF. That's why they were such a great duo. When one was down the other was there to step in.
@mazaratialbum its like scottie wasnt bound to be famous. he was silent a silent individual. mj was like a superstar with an aura. scottie went to work every day like a blue collar guy to only became the best all around player in history. thats what i like the most.
I remember that game. LJ basically questioned Pippen's impact on the Bulls. He said something like "All he's (Pippen) got to do is toss the ball to #23. He has the easiest job (in the league)."
Pippen was the shit in this game, he did everything on the court and teared LJ a new one. Jordan was sleep-walking until the 4th, when he exploded for 20 points. Great game.
I wonder where the Pippen-LJ beef started? These guys always seemed on good terms with each other throughout the early 90's. It had to be frustrating for the Knicks to see Jordan smiling as he owned them in the 4th qtr like always.
lol man the Bulls tormented the Knicks in Jordan's era...the Knicks won some here and there and alot of the games were classic and very close...lol but poor Ewing just couldnt win in the end against Jordan....i still think Bulls/Knicks was best NBA rivalry of the 90's

Great upload!! It looks like Jordan let Pippen have his little joust with Larry Johnson and then the 4th qtr was all his lol. It's like Jordan was laughing at the Knicks down the stretch of the game.

Been waiting to have this game uploaded forever. Thanks man. One of the only Bulls/Knicks games not on youtube...until now. :P
