She was attempting to flee te scene of a crime that she committed so I have no sympathy for her. I live in Savannah and I know that if a cop tells me to get down on the ground, I am going to follow orders. Besides, the girl was smacked several times with a steel baton then face planted with time to fix her hair. Really serious injury. Smile pretty!

There was a man resisting an arrest, a female interfering with an arrest, resisting arrest, and attempting to flee the scene of a violent crime. If anything she will lose her case to the victim then followed by losing the case to the system. That is justice for any violent criminal.

Not to mention that the girl had her hands behind her back when she was maced and was not a threat (also because she was two times smaller than the cop). The cop never tried ANY OTHER TACTIC other than taking out his club and beating the party goers. YES, they deserve to get in trouble. NO, they did not deserve what they got. The girl who was maced was not threatening the officer at all. Her hands were actually behind her back. For all the police knew, the girl IN the car started the fight. They weren't there to witness what happened. The guy was beat with a night stick and he never even laid a hand on ANYONE.

There is no tolerance for this type of behavior during this holiday and tourists and visitors are made aware of this by locals and business owners alike. Good job, man...I agree 100%. Sure, they were fighting, sure they were drunk, and sure they were disorderly. But, she WAS trying to say something to the cop in a nonthreatening manner, and he DID spray her with mace when she was OBVIOUSLY NOT a threat to his own safety or to the safety of others. Then, he DID FACE-PLANT her..I could hear the SMACK when she went down, whether it was her hands breaking her fall or her chin hitting the pavement. Either way, BAD NEWS for the COP, I HOPE.
